      We are current Vivint customers. A salesman knocked on our door a couple weeks ago and said they were offering "credits" to keep current customers happy. (As long as you had been a customer for at least 10 months.) He asked if there was any additional equipment we would like and then said he could see if he could get it for us for free. We would just pay the increase in the monthly service fee. We agreed on two additional cameras and there were installed a couple days later. The day after installation we had a huge bill on our Vivint account. We contacted the salesman and & he said he would get it fixed. We didn't hear anything, so . We contacted customer service. What a nightmare! Nothing was accomplished with customer service. The salesman finally contacted us and stated that we would receive a monthly credit of $5-6 dollars per month and in the end that is how the equipment would end up being free. We are talking almost $1000 worth of equipment. It would take years for that small monthly credit to cover that. I requested they come take out the new cameras. I spent almost an hour on the phone with customer service again just to get a time scheduled. On the day the technician comes to take out the new equipment he is constantly trying to sell us other items. We declined each time. We are still waiting for Vivint to credit our account for the returned equipment. Very misleading sales practices and customer service is the worst.

      We decided we wanted a more modern security system than we currently had, and (unfortunately) found Vivint. We purchased the necessary security system equipment from Vivint on June 6 which was scheduled to be installed the afternoon of June 9. We were notified that the installation could not take place on that day and were rescheduled for the afternoon of Tuesday, June 10.A technician showed up and spent about 2 hours installing the Vivint system and when he left, it appeared that the system was working. Apparently, the system was not installed correctly and the alarm went off within 8 hours of installation and hasnt worked since.I spoke with the technician who installed it and Ive contacted their customer loyalty department (spoke with ***) to have them cancel our account and come to get their equipment. They have wasted a considerable amount of my time and have exhausted my patience. The process a cancellation is one of the most frustrating experience as well.

      I was told that I would get a 3 month period and after that time I could cancel. When I went to cancel after a less than a week I was told it had been over the 3 days. Apparently the cancellation is supposed to be within 3 days. This means I was lied to. The tactics they use are reminiscent of an MLM. Do not trust them. Do not purchase from them.

      We are currently in a 30 day trial period with Vivint Home Security and are trying to cancel. I've called three times to cancel, and the representative continuously says we will hear back from their legal team once our information is reviewed. We have properly sent a notice of cancellation, but I still have their credit line on my credit report.

      Wish I could put a 0/10...shady business practices...they opened a credit card for the entire 5 year contract...$5290.67! No mention of it in their "sales pitch "...insane...canceled the credit card...will see how easy/hard it is to cancel Vivint...it's only been one business day since Vivint was here...buyer beware!!!

      ******** customer service. Spoke to 4 "supervisors" and was told they can't honor what the other says. Double charged me and refuses to refund my account. Wish I could leave a negative star!

      Aggressive and Ill-Timed Door-to-Door Sales I dont normally leave negative reviews, but this experience with Vivint Securitys sales tactics crossed a line.A Vivint salesman came to my in-laws' housewho live next dooraround 8:30 PM, right at sunset. We were all settled in for the evening. He rang their doorbell multiple times and, even after they clearly said "were not interested," continued his pitch. My father-in-law had to interrupt him with a firm Goodnight and close the door mid-sentence.Fifteen minutes later, he was at my house. The doorbell set off our dogs, woke up our child, and disrupted our evening. He began the same pitch and didnt respond to cues that I wasnt interested until I interrupted him and said ***********, two days later, hes returned in the afternoon to the neighborhood. I'm going to ignore him 'till he leaves this time, since I'm alone now. I've ordered a No Soliciting Sign, now. Something I never thought I'd need. I understand that door-to-door sales are part of the job, but showing up that late, disregarding clear rejections, and returning after the fact feels intrusive and disrespectful. Vivint should train their representatives to respect household boundaries and basic courtesy.

      This company is a scam! The door knockers came around and sold me a bunch lies! He never said they would run my credit and open line of credit. He promised I didn't have to cancel ADT because they will buy out my acct. He never said that there was a monitoring fee and then boom there is one plus the ***** I was promised I would only pay so now I am paying *****plus *****. They want let me out the contract I was sold on based off what the sale agent said which was all fabricated! On top of that they have the wrong address for my account but still won't let me out of the contract! I wouldn't have signed up if I knew they ran your credit and used your credit to purchase equipment ADT DIDNT DO THAT! THIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL SCAM AND THERE EQUIPMENT DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. NO W I AM STUCK PAYING MORE MONEY TO ADT AND VIVINT! THIS SHOUKD BE ILLEGAL to send out sale agents that are basically scamming people and selling them dreams. What i trash company i wouldn't recommend this comfor anything. Then corporate is steady trying to sell my things after I told them their *** is misinforming people about their plans and products! They didn't care unfortunately

      I am writing in tears. Vivint has been so unkind; my panel went totally black over one week ago. I called Vivint and discussed with them my availability for service. I told them I am home Weekends and also work two days from home. I discussed with the scheduling agent a date and time for the appointment. I received a text message a day after the call to confirm a date and time we did not discuss. I called to escalate the issue and another agent told me that time was not available and pushed back the service another week. Whenever I call vivint the robo just tells me a fictitious date and time for service which never happens. I spoke to another agent again about the problem as the dates and time are fictitious. He says "and if you are not home those times the appointment will just be canceled." The gross disrespect of these unreal and fictitious appointments. No one ever comes out or call and my screen is still black. The last time I checked my payment was up to date. I write this because I want others to know vivint only have technicians to install their equipment but no one to service them. Their service technicians are all phantom. Two minutes ago I calledand the system says I see you have an upcoming app. Tomorrow June 12th fir 6:00am -10:00am. I NEVER DISCUSSED OR CONFIRMED THIS DATE AND TIME WITH THEM. I am thinking they don't have techs that are directly employed.

      This companys practices are very shady. They take double payments from your account when you are not behind on payments. They are horrendous to make contact with. They shift blame and do not take accountability for their mistakes. When I tried to cancel service they harrass you by trying to aggressively up sale more services even when you try to tell them to cancel service. They all try to get you to get someone else to take over the account. They insinuate that you owe them for equipment that has been paid for for years. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Do not do business with them.
