      Vivint sucks! Do not buy their equipment! It does not work properly at all!!!! Stick with RING or something else!

      STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! WORST COMPANY EVER!! STAY AWAY. YOU CANNOT CANCEL YOUR SERVICE WITH THEM UNTIL YOU PAY OFF YOUR EQUIPMENT WITH FORTIVA! THIS IS THE DUMBEST BS EVER, WE SHOULD ONLY BE BOUND BY THE CONTRACT WITH THE EQUIPMENT FINANCE COMPANY & NOT PAYING FOR MONITORING SERVICE AT A LOCATION WE NO LONGER LIVE AT. THEY ARE RIPPING OFF CUSTOMERS. I WISH I SAW THE REVIEWS BEFORE WE INSTALLED MY BIGGEST REGRET!

      I am not a customer and after the interaction that my community has had with one door to door salesperson, I will never be a customer. This salesperson has been asked numerous times to leave our private community. It's posted private property, no soliciting and he insists on arguing with us. It got to a point the police have now been called 3 times on him. He is very pushy, invades your personal space, will argue with you after telling him to please leave, you're not interested. Many different videos from the community on his actions. Vivint will not do anything to him to keep him out of our community.

      ****************** Unfortunately, we got sucked in by a very pushy, smooth talking salesman last month at 6:30 PM. He made it sound so wonderful and even gave us the upgraded system at no extra charge also we were told that they would defer the payments for 90 days that didn't happen they took $90.00 out of account the next day, we called the crappy customer service, and they told us, oh we can take $30.00 off our next bill, that's BS!!!! and we still do not have a sign from them, we have asked 3 times, also when they installed the system they didn't even clean up after themselves...GRRR, we reached out to old security system to see what they could do for us, and they were able to give us a great deal and was $85 cheaper than Vivint so we tried to cancel our service yesterday with Vivint and they informed us that we would have to pay over $2000 to get out of our contract, we are on a fixed income and feel taken advantage of and trapped. They definitely DO NOT deserve a rating!!!!!

      There are box seats waiting for Vivint in H*** ************ is as shading as it gets. My wife tried to cancel on Monday the 20th of May. I had paid off the contract so it should have been easy. Not at all, Vivint told her we would have to pay 550 for cancellation. When she got upset, they changed the payoff to 185. She hung up in frustration. I called Vivint to cancel again on Friday May 24th. They also told me 550. I told them we had paid off our contract. So they lowered the cancellation fee to 260. I paid it to gladly get rid of this company in frustration. They are scumbags and need to be shut down. Just glad they will have those box seats in ****!

      Terrible company and very deceptive. Lies Vivint told me:- there is no contract There absolutely is a contract. A 5-year contract in my case.- we will come fix any issues you have No they wont. When my doorbell camera went on the ***** they refused to come fix it and instead tried to walk me through checking the electrical wiring. Then I was told sure well come out - for $99 -you only pay for equipment once, we replace the outdated equipment No again. You buy equipment again, if your stuff is outdated.Overall their customer service is awful, their equipment is trash, and their service is a waste of money.

      Sales Reps are rude and arrogant. They the audacity to knock on your door. Talk like they are the big shots. ****** responds when turned down. No wonder its all 1 star reviews from actual customers. Cant be seeking business with that kind of attitude from your employees

      Rep came out at 8:30 pm with a "free" offer. Wasted 40 minutes of time before mentioning that the offer came raked with monthly fees. Continuously assured me there was NO cost. When asking about my current equipment, I asked how I could check what type it was, and told me he could just check. I told him not to enter my home two times and he ignore me and continued to walk into my home, not only without consent, but with an express denial. Then continued to waste my time before leaving rudely as soon as he told me there was a cost and I told him I would have not been interested had he said that up front. In all my time owning this property, the only time I've had someone in my home without consent is the vivint Smart home salesman. Terrible service, terrible customer relations.

      they don't deserve one star. My mother has vivint security had for years her home was remolded front door sensor was removed so I called vivint they said I would have to pay for the new sensor so I paid informed them that I would not be able to install they said that it was just a matter of sticking it in the right place told me when it was delivered to call they would show me where to stick it. I received the sensor called for help to install it the rep remote in my phone pointed to where I needed to put it I did it didn't work she advised me to move it three more spots it would not work. So she said oh this is the wrong sensor we will have to send you a different sensor it will be ***** dollars I told her I was not going to pay for another sensor it was not my fault that you sent me the wrong one she said wave price and send the one that I needed. Never received it. So I call again the next rep apologized for the inconvenience said would mail the sensor track when I would receive it and call to schedule a tech to come out would wave the fee for tech. Never happen called again obviously reps don't put anything that they talk to you about in notes so you have to explain what the last rep said I did he comes back and said that I would have to pay ****** for a tech to come out I told them I would be cancelling. This was the most time consuming and frustrating situation. My mother had been a long time customer never been late with payments ******************** has terrible customer service and don't care about there customers.

      The worse security system experience, EVER! I would advise taking your chances at being burglarized or killed by a home invader. Here is an abbreviated list of problems that we had with Vivint (by the way, we were previous subscribers to ADT without issues and currently enjoy Simply Safe which is wonderful). 1. equipment is very expensive & even installed incorrectly by the first technician 2. equipment is temperamental with constant off line and battery issues 3. you CAN NOT get a technician to your house without a literal fight (even with paying for the visit) 4. you CAN NOT cancel (it's like ****************....they simply don't want you to cancel and make it impossible to do so, I sold my house and no longer needed/wanted their service and in addition to then asking me to get the new owners to continue the service, they would not process the end of service even after SIX calls and assurances that it was canceled. Even today; 4 months after the initial call to cancel, I received a bill (including late fees) for over $100 with other fees indicating that they are still billing me for services. Should I have to call them again? NOT wasting another minute on this retched company.
