On May 16th of 2023 I made a purchase with Fast Growing Trees for almost $600. $219.90 was for 2 peach sorbet blueberry bushes that were advertised as healthy and capable of fruiting in only a year. My entire order I purchased insurance for. However, my plants arrived skrawny with rust spots covering the leaves. 1 month later my **** is dying. I contacted the ** ********** of *********** and they verified my blueberry bushes are infected with blueberry leaf rust which is highly contagious towards other plants. On July 6th I reached out to Fast Growing Trees to escalate my issue. The customer service representative did not even read my complaint and began talking about my Legacy ****. After clearing up the issue in regards to my peach sorbet bushes they gave me the advice of removing all the leaves and infected branches thus hindering the plants more. However, ** ********** of *********** recommended I destroy both bushes because the disease is highly contagious towards other plants and it will spread to the rest of my garden. Fast growing trees offered to ship 2 replacement plants however I am not interested. When I stated I was not interested in receiving more plants because 1) I can't afford to plant more and 2) they falsely advertised my bushes and charged significantly more than their competitors, Fast growing trees stopped communicating with me. Finally, I received an email that 2 more bushes are on the way after I specifically stated I was NOT interested. I'm asking for a full refund in the amount of $219.90 for receiving products that were NOT as advertised. In addition, the company REFUSES to publish my negative review in an attempt to suppress the truth.

    Business Response

    Date: 07/11/2023

We have reached out to the customer and agreed to issue a refund of $219.90. Please allow 3 to 5 business days for this to reflect back to your payment method on file.

Purchase was made 5/16/23. The smaller plants arrived first in a "smashed" condition on 5/20. **** arrived in bad condition on 5/22. My wife contacted them and told them about the condition. They said that they were in "shipping shock", which was correct since the shipping container was nothing more than a cardboard box that had been in transit for 5+ days in hot weather. All smaller plants were planted on 5/20. The tree was planted on 5/23. On 6/14 my wife called about the tree since it had degraded significantly over that 3-week period. The company had us do a "bark scrape" test and sent us a vitamin supplement that we applied as instructed. The tree has continued to degrade as you can see by the photos taken on 7/5. Like I mentioned, several of the smaller plants have died, but I'm only asking to have the tree cost refunded. Every time I attempt to collect on the warranty, I get a different customer service person asking for photos and basically starting from scratch. I have sent these photos over & over again... and I'm not wasting another minute on this. I'm including all the photos (photo name reflects date taken) and the latest email correspondence for review.

    Business Response

We have issued a refund for this tree that was processed on 7/9. Please allow 3 to 5 business days for this to reflect back to your payment method on file.

I ordered 2 ************************* blossom ******************** on 4/17/23, order number **********. I was told they would be delivered in 2-3 business day but they were not delivered till 4/23. I dont really mind the delivery time but for ******************** I think its essential for the delivery to be prompt. When the ******************** finally arrived, one appeared in distress and the other one looked dead, all the leaves died out and barely any root left. I contacted FGT and was told to plant them right away and they would recover. A month later, one tree seemed to recover a bit, the other one still dead. I contacted them again to ask if they can send replacement but they said its till too soon, give it more time. Now 3 months later and Im pretty sure the tree is completely dead and will never recover. I contacted FGT to get a refund on one tree and they kept refusing to give me a refund. They said store credit or replacement only. But after seeing their quality of tree and their customer service. I really dont want to deal with them anymore and just want to get the refund on the dead tree. They refused to help so have to reach out to BBB to settle this.

    Business Response

    Date: 07/11/2023

We agree to issue a refund for the one tree that has not recovered. We processed this and you will see the refund reflect back to your payment method on file within 3 to 5 business days.

I placed an order for plants in Janury 2023. Order sent end of March 2023 received partial order April 2023.I never received detailed emails about what was shipped and what was delivered. (I was informed on same emails on a prior order). I thought this was a partial order. So I waited for rest of order to show. In June I called and inquired on the rest of my order. I was told because I waited more than 30 days to ask about not receiving the plants that I did not know was included in the order they were shipping out on my paid warranty and fast growing trees .com site states I have to pay on shipping. What a scam. Was expected to call in Feb and March every *********************************** January. No statement sent in box and emails did not indicate what was being shipped.Prior shipment had a picture and words that described what was in the order. I should not be penalized for their mistake. I want my warranty back and no shipping costs. Avid gardener and partial shipments is part of the plant shipping industry.

Hello!I purchased two peony plants from fast-growing-trees.com in April. One was received a week later. One was received early May.Upon receiving the first one, it was already yellowing and kinda folded on some of the branches. However it did bear flower buds so we decided to plant them in hope that they will thrive. However it continued to yellow and all the flower buds are dried out. Same thing happened to the other one that we received in May. It was completely curved because it was delivered to me upside down. I thought the same as when I got the first plant--that if i plant, water and fertilize it, it would recover. It did not. To this day it is still 90 degrees curved and all the buds are dried. I contacted customer service, they advised me to pay $32 for insurance which I did. After I paid, they said the peonies are out of stock so they can only issue store credit so i can order the plants when they go back in stock.I disagree. I should have been informed that it was out of stock before I placed my warranty order. I am asking for my original payment and warranty payment to be refunded. I shouldnt have paid for fastgrowingtrees.com to correct their mistake.

    Business Response

    Date: 06/28/2023

We were able to assist in placing a new order using the store credit. Please do not heistate to reach out if you need any additional assistance.

    Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:

i am still waiting for the refund of the insurance i paid. The plants came to me already yellowing and 90 curved.

i had to pay for insurance for the store credit which was unfair. I only paid it so i could get the peonies but they were out of stock. You did not address any of my concerns.

    Business Response

    Date: 06/30/2023

I am so sorry, I understand you were not far outside of the 30 day guarantee and I went ahead and refunded the warranty cost for your first order. Let us know if you do need any additional assistance.

I ordered from them and even called them because I wanted a cherry tree I could plant. We agreed on one but come to find out the tree cannot be planted in my zone. The tree that I got had very little leaves on it and the leaves started to fall off after 30 days. I wouldn't have ordered from them if I had known that they were brighter blooms because I didn't like their trees. I feel I was deceived. Why do you need to change your name if you were a good company. I spent $200 for a tree that was terrible. It wasn't worth $50. I'll never buy another tree from them again. I lost a lot of money between the 2 companies and I'll never buy any plant online again.

I purchased trees at the end of April of 2022 for a total of $ ********. The tress came in scraggly, thin and short...nothing like the pictures on their website. I spoke to them. They told me this is what it is and it will grow but did refund part of my money as a compensation. . Its now June 2023 and they are a few inches taller ( not the 3 to 5 feet they promised on the website) and still scraggly. I now have to rip them up, buy new ones and pay my landscaper to replant.

    Business Response

    Date: 06/14/2023

We are so sorry your trees are not growing as fast as anticipated. In the first year, trees will focus on establishing roots in their new home however the growth rate should pick up in the second and thrid year as the trees establish. You can also encourage new growth by fertilizing in the spring.

We list the growth rates of our products based on ideal growing conditions and published information. But remember: Trees are like humans and all grow differently!

We cannot predict how quickly your trees will grow, fruit or flower. All plants are unique and must be nurtured properly in a suitable environment. Because every plant is unique, every home is unique, and every landscape is unique, your results will vary.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 06/15/2023

I am rejecting this response because: The trees were nothing like the pictures on their website. They promised they would grow 3 - 5 feet a year and they have been planted for over a year, grew 3 inches and have not widened out. They are hiding behind double speak and its clear to me by their response that they have zero intention of backing their product up. Its OK. Karma is a b**** I have learnt my ****** to buy from local nurseries that actually care about your business. It will come around to bite them on the a** Look out for my ****** reviews !!!!

I ordered a 2 gallon Little Miss ***** fig tree on 4/2/22. The cost was $69.95 but with shipping and taxes it came to $97.07. I received the plant on 4/11/22 and I emailed the company about my displeasure. It was a very sad looking tree. It was packaged in a box instructing people to keep it on its side. WHY??? Tons of dirt fell out of the plant into the box and all over my floor when I opened it and the zip tie looked like it was being strangled. I sent a photo. The company said the plant might be dead but might be alive and they would extend the warranty through 5/30/22. I gave up on fighting it, and lost track of time, but yesterday bought a fig tree from a local nursery and I became angry once again about the sad little fig tree I bought from Fast Growing Trees. I reached out via chat with the company today and they let me know that a fig tree is not a fast growing tree, but a "moderate growing tree." It remains approximately the same height as when received, though leaves are healthier now. It has not reached 4-6 ft height as promised, nor fruited in the first year as the website copy leads one to believe. It feels like they are banking on the fact that hopefulness will prevail and that customers won't request refunds. This is the warranty from their website:"If you have issues with your plants within the first 30 days, give us a call. We will review your concerns and provide you with a one-time replacement if necessary. Replacement shipping costs are at the customers expense. If you've ordered a deciduous tree during winter or early spring, and it fails to emerge from dormancy by May 30th, we will guarantee it outside of the five-day notification period. Contact us by May 30th so we can review and assist with your order. Keep in mind that we may ask for photos- this helps us assist you in saving your tree and plant, which may just be stressed from transit."My Order #********** Photos are from the website, upon arrival 4/11/22, and 14 months later 6/6/23

In 2022, I made a significant investment and ordered over $1400 worth of trees and plants from their website. Regrettably, most of these plants did not survive. Despite my attempts to rectify the situation, the company's resolution was unsatisfactory. They offered replacements for the dead plants, but these replacements were smaller and lacked the standard one-year warranty. They provided a gift card for my plants, so I ordered 'fresh' ones.I have contacted the company three times since receiving the latest shipment and have heard nothing back. This lack of communication adds to my frustration and disappointment. Moreover, I still have yet to report all the plants that have died due to their poor quality. The plants I received from FastGrowingTrees.com are consistently subpar and bear no resemblance to the lush, healthy plants displayed on the company's website. Mere days after planting the replacement pear and peach trees, they appear to be suffering. The pear tree already shows signs of blight, and the peach tree's condition is rapidly deteriorating. In addition to product quality issues, the delivery service provided by ***** has been far from satisfactory. My shipment was delayed by two days, and, incredibly, it was delivered upside down and damaged. For comparison, I've found that trees and bushes from my local ******* and ********** stores are superior quality, similarly priced, and resilient, unlike those from FastGrowingTrees.com.Considering the persistent issues and continuous disappointments, I request a full refund from FastGrowingTrees.com. I no longer wish to receive store credits or inferior replacement plants. Instead, I intend to purchase quality plants from reliable local stores.
