1 starI was directed to Govplus via Instagram. I answered questions and when I was up to paying government fees, I realized that Im paying two fees for a US passport. Govplus was not forthcoming on the charges and conveniently placed government charges after charging their fees. I think they were intentionally confusing. When I used their live chat to cancel they charged me $33 for using their software as per ****. There should be upfront clear directions of Govplus services and what hidden or total costs there are afterwards. I would like my $33 refunded.GovPlus

Just because you made an assumption and opted not to carefully read our website does not we are not being forthcoming. We clearly state we are a private company and we offer services beyond what the government sites currently offer such as one click form filing, customized application packages that contain government standard requirements all done delivered to you in the comfort of your own home. All you have to do for this type of application is follow the simple instructions and mail the application out. We pride ourselves in simplifying government interactions through the use of technology.
Our homepage includes several disclaimers clearly stating that we are 'NOT THE GOVERNMENT, JUST A FRIENDLY PRIVATE COMPANY.' Additionally, our domain suffix '.com' clearly identifies us as a private entity. In contrast, official government websites display official seals and the statement 'An official website of ***************** Government,' and use the domain suffix '.gov,' indicating their government status.
The payment process requires applicants to manually enter payment information, with the disclaimer under the software fee amount which states that 'GOVERNMENT FEES ARE NOT INCLUDED.' agree to the terms and conditions by ticking a box, and then click the submit button. These steps necessitate a conscious and informed decision by the applicant.

1 starI applied and paid for my passport renewal online. They not only withdrew the $130 fee from my account, they also took an additional $67. I have received nothing from these people, and it's been almost a month.GovPlus

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We would like to address your review as well, now that we have responded to the complaint you filed.
Please know that this $67 fee is for use of our software, materials, boxes, the forms printed for you to sign as the passport agency requires a wet signature, your passport photo that we approved by our experts according to the specifications set by the passport agency, and printed for you, prepaid postage, with tracking that you can track on your GovPlus dashboard as well as fully executed checks from our company on your behalf written according to passport specifications. You would be surprised how many people do not write the check properly and it is rejected by the ***************. In addition, use of our checks helps you protect your bank accounts security and more but you get our point.
We first collect this $67 dollar fee, carefully review your application for errors, inspect the photo you provide and provide assistance as necessary, verify that there are no glares on the photo, certain clothing worn, no glasses permitted and the list goes on. After our experts finish verifying and approving your application, it is only then we collect the government fees as this is the last step. We clearly state on our payment page when you pay the initial $67 Government fees are NOT included.
You submitted your passport renewal application on September 22nd, 2024. and the following day, September 23rd, we promptly reviewed and completed your application. According to **** tracking, your application package was delivered to your doorstep , October 1st. Please note that we are not responsible for the delivery process handled by ****.
When you reached out to our Live Chat support on October 11th about not receiving your package, we actively worked to resolve your issue. We have escalated your case to our team for further investigation and we verified your mailing address with you to confirm it matched the one provided in your application to make sure it was initially delivered to the address you provided on your application. Additionally, we have requested a replacement package to be sent to you the following day, October 12th. On October 22nd, the status of your package delivery stated that it had been delivered to the same address we sent the package to the first time. We even attempted to reach out to you via phone call on October 23rd to check if you already have it and offer more assistance, but the call was declined.If you would like to proceed with a refund, we understand your request. However, please also consider your dissatisfaction with the inconvenience our company did not cause. According to our terms and conditions, which all customers are required to agree to before manually clicking submit for the payment:
10. Refunds?
GovPlus grants you a seven (7) day period to evaluate the Services. If no Services were rendered, you may receive a refund within such seven (7) day period. No refunds will be issued after such period or if Services were rendered. Services are considered rendered if:(a) an application has been completed and submitted for reviewPlease understand that your application was reviewed, completed, prepared for shipment and has been delivered twice. (October ****** - 3:13 PM; **** Tracking number ********************** and October 22, 2024 4:21 PM **** Tracking number : ******** **************) This means that our services were completely rendered.
As explained in our email on October 21st, since the application was submitted over 7 days ago and two packages have been shipped, we are unable to offer a full refund. As a gesture of goodwill, we have processed a partial refund of $34 from the $67 one-time application fee. You can still use the materials, just follow the instructions to continue your passport application.
Should you choose to initiate a refund for the government fee, we kindly ask that you provide a photo of the physical check included in your package. Please send one photo showing the check as a whole and another showing it torn into four pieces, ensuring that the check's details are still recognizable. You can send these images to ******************************** with the subject being the check number. Once we receive them, we will promptly issue a full refund of $130 for the government fee.

1 starI changed my phone number, and could not access my account. It kept sending a verification code to my old number. I talked to several different agents, and no one knew how to rectify this. I kept getting different solutions. I waited on a OTP (one time passcode) 4 different times. I never received an email with the **** Actually I did receive an email with a OTP for someone else. I had to wait 24 hrs for this email before contacting them again. I was in communication the entire time, and finally I gave up and asked for a refund after not being able to access my account for nearly 2 weeks, only to be told I only qualified for a partial refund bc it had been 7 days. This is theft plain and simple.GovPlus
