      Ionos is an unprofessional organization that will lock your domain without any rhyme or reason. This organization is meant to take your money and swindle. Not at all recommended.

      I received an email on November 11th 2023 stating that my domain was up for renewal. I immediately went on to the website and canceled the auto renewal. On November 13th, $17 was taken out of my account for the domain renewal. I accidentally clicked where it said "renewal " thinking that information would be available there but instead it signed me back up for a renewal. When I tried to cancel contract again I got a message that I neded to "confirm" cancelation within 14 days by calling. I called and waited on hold for more than 1 hour even though the number says it's 24/7. I just want my $17 back and for my domain to be canceled. I emailed customer service and have not recieved a response.

I appreciate the time spent to provide your feedback.  Direct feedback from the customer is an important resource as it helps us focus on the aspects of our products and service that need the most attention. 



      It's important to note that, in line with our terms and conditions, our services are set to automatically renew as initially described during the order process and in the order/contract confirmation emails sent to your registered email address. We send renewal notifications 30 days in advance through the notification center in the control panel. To manage your services, it's the customer's responsibility to monitor their accounts and cancel any unwanted services. Termination of services can be initiated by turning off automatic renewal within the control panel at least 5 days before the renewal date. You can find step-by-step instructions on how to do this *********************************************************************************** Alternatively, you can contact our cancellations team by email at [email protected] or by phone at ************, Monday through Friday from 8am to 8pm EST. 



      According to our records your request was processed with an effective termination date of Nov 14, 2023 and a refund was processed to the payment method on file on Nov 15, 2023.

      I purchased Design Service M back in May. It is now almost November and I still do not have a website. It was supposed to take two weeks to get a first draft, three months later I received that draft. It was awful, they didn't use the content I sent them, the verbiage was nonsensical and the stock photos they used ,in large, did not represent the trade, i.e. pictures of carpenters for an HVAC website. Just a generic template with random words generated by AI. I had to go through the whole website one element at a time and generate ALL of the content myself. What a waste, and yes they continue to bill me each month. Can't wait to dump this "service", unfortunately they have me under contract for a year.

      This review is regarding IONOS, a company with which I entered into an agreement for website hosting services. I have experienced a significant failure on their part to perform the services that I paid for, which has resulted in a breach of our agreement. As a result, I am left with no other recourse but to seek legal action to discontinue our agreement immediately. NOT in 12 months, but IMMEDIATELY!

      Otherwise, my lawsuit will be for reasons as follows:

      Delayed Service: Despite the clear terms of our agreement, IONOS has failed to meet the agreed-upon deadline for getting my business website up and running.

      Lack of Communication: Throughout this period, I have made numerous attempts to communicate with IONOS and seek information regarding the delay. However, the design team has consistently failed to respond adequately or provide any concrete information regarding the status of my website or why after a month and a half my website has not been published, even though I have submitted the supposedly "final review" for approval to publish.

      Unfulfilled Agreement: IONOS's inability to meet the agreed-upon timeline for website deployment has directly breached our agreement, which is causing severe disruption to my business operations and financial stability.

      To avoid litigation, I kindly request the Better Business Bureau's assistance in mediating this matter and facilitating a prompt resolution. I would like to see IONOS facilitate the termination of the agreement for breach of contract and failure to perform the services within the time promised. I request that IONOS cease all actions of trying to receive payment for services that have been promised, but have not been fulfilled. Last, I request that IONOS release my domain name which was created and legally filed with the IRS and the State of Maryland prior to any contact, communication, and agreement with IONOS. IONOS did not create nor provide me with my business domain name.

      They are REFUSING to cancel an account I have no idea about of what this account is. I told them 12 times now to cancel the order and gave them this order # and they are refusing to cancel and telling me to call'em at 8 6 6 2 5 8 5 6 1 6 but I don't have a phone. They are threatening me stating, "This email serves as the final reminder of the outstanding debt of $32.00 for your contract 9 2 2 9 0 6 6 2. We have now locked your contract. If payment is not made, we will forward the case to a collection agency within the next 7 days. Please note that this may incur additional charges." This order needs to be cancelled and this was not even used as I don't even KNOW what this is ? I need this whatever this is to be cancelled. I don't know anything about Ionos and there was a charge I disputed because I don't use IONOS.

      IONOS Customer Service dared to contact me when I had cancelled on "Jun 30" and is hassling me I did not have any contract with this company, I do not need their services and the services were immediately cancelled on June 30th are threatening me with services they did not provide because I cancelled the payment as I don't even know what this company is IONOS emailed the following "Hello ------ -------,
      This email serves as the final reminder of the outstanding debt of $32.00 for your contract 92290662.
      We have now locked your contract.
      If payment is not made, we will forward the case to a collection agency within the next 7 days. Please note that this may incur additional charges.
      In addition, your contract will be flagged for cancellation and will not be recoverable once cancelled.
      Solution: Please log in to your IONOS account as soon as possible using the login button below. You can find more details about the failed payment there and simply follow the instructions.
      As soon as we have received the payment, you will be able to use your package to its full extent again.

      IONOS takes NO responsibility for their mistake!!
      The credit card we had on autopay for our domain expired which triggered a 30-day redemption period followed by a 5-day deletion phase before it would be released to the public.
      The "missed payment notification" emails went to an obsolete email of ours so by the time we realized this was happening our domain was in the 5-day deletion phase, so I called IONOS and the customer service agent never mentioned that it was in the 5-day deletion phase, she instead told us we needed to wait 14 days and then call back to customer service to get our domain reinstated. On the 14th day we called them back only to find out our domain was sold 10 days ago to a domain reseller that now wants $3295.00 for our domain!!!
      After multiple calls to IONOS customer service over a 7-day period and finally working my way up to the Executive Solutions Team, they listened to the recording of my original call with the agent that said I needed to wait 14 days and they admitted that was inaccurate information on how to reinstate/repurchase our domain, he then proceeded to tell me how they would address it with that agent and offered me $50 towards future services with IONOS!!!! (ya....no joke) They need to purchase our domain name back!
      We have boxes full of invoices, business cards and other company forms all with that domain already printed on them, not to mention all the customers, contractors and stores that currently use this domain address for our business, plus we are losing money daily with our website down while waiting for IONOS to return calls/emails etc!
      My advice to all potential customers of IONOS is to find a different company for your domain or hosting services if you value your time and money!

      When you ask them to cancel your service, they pretend to cancel it and then keep charging you. I am battling them now. Trying to get them to cancel my service.

      These guys are a bunch of bastards. They keep your financial information on file and charge you even when you’ve canceled service and have sent confirmation that they’ve done so. I currently have a PayPal dispute. It’s impossible to manage your account online and they won’t give you any information on your account if you can’t verify what credit card you used last wth them. You get the run around via email because you aren’t talking to a live person. So done with this. There are better companies out there.
