Power installed siding on my home in September 2021. Last August I noticed that siding on the back of the house was loose and I called Power to schedule a service apartment. I was then told the first available appointment was in December with no exact date. About a month later some siding fell off the house and I once again called Power. They again said December was the first available appointment. I told them that was unacceptable and that I would file a compliant with the BBB if an accommodation was not made. I did get a call back and was told the would be here on Tuesday Nov 18, On Monday I got a call saying that due to rain there could not come on Monday, the appointment was apparently switched with my knowledge. They then said it would be March 2023 when they would come. Another call and a reschedule for today (21st). We got a call this morning that the could not come, but rescheduled for March 14. When their siding is actually falling off the house this is unacceptable customer service. I need help from you to get them to live up to there "promises" and get this matter resolved. I might add that their original salesperson quoted a price, then a another person came a redid the measurements and the price strangely increased, once again during the installation the suddenly found another problem which also increase the price by several thousand dollars over their original estimate. I am sorry I ever did any business with Power and you need to warn people of the manner in which Power does business and how they treat customers. I expect that my 50 year warranty may well expire before they actually do the repairs that I have now waited over 3 month for them to do and expect that I will need to give them another 5 months to do the service. This company is unacceptable.

Had siding installed incorrectly and rodents are getting in the house as well as bugs . Called them up several times and they are telling me that it's not there problem. They are saying that my foundation walls aren't straight. There is an easy fix for it that I can simply do but after paying them $27000.00 for the siding they should fix the salutation. Instead they came out two years ago and put expansion foam where rodents now have eaten threw and back in the house .

      Good morning,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us about your remodeling experience. We take feedback from homeowners like you very seriously. I apologize for any frustration or aggravation this issue may have caused. I have reviewed your complaint and personally looked into the matter.

Power Project Production Managers and a Power installation team were on-site in 2019 to review the siding installation.  Firring strips were used to even out the exterior wall with the cement foundation and siding was installed as low to the ground as it can be installed.  Finish trim, expanding insulating foam and wooden firring strips were all used to secure the siding and to enclose the exterior wall of the home.  However, the foundation is not level, nor is the foundation wall a flat surface anymore.  There is no way to install the siding tight to the foundation without creating waves in the siding, which is why firring strings and expanding insulating foam were used.  Neither Power nor the siding Power installed can prevent wildlife from chewing on the product and entering the home.  Power is also not an extermination service.

Unfortunately, Power will not be able to assist in the matter you have brought to attention.  Please seek the assistance of a local exterminator to remove any pests from the home and to close off any points of entry to prevent the pests from re-entering in the future.

Like I had explain to the tech in 2019 . That needed to be done and got yes to death . I'm a contractor in NY.  This is a problem that I deleted with my own customers and it was an easy fix . But I think for what I paid I shouldn't be the one to correct this especially knowing that field mice and chipmunk chew threw expansion foam and use it for nesting.  Unless you use a pest repellent one. You are more then welcome to come and see how problem can get corrected.  I will also be posting it all over social media

      Good morning,

You contracted Power to install siding on your home, which was done and done correctly.  Power nor the manufacturer of the siding materials make any claims that the siding material will prevent or otherwise discourage pests or rodents from trying to enter the home in any form or fashion, even when installed correctly.  If the siding installation had been performed incorrectly, allowing rodents to enter your home, Power would take full responsibility for the correction of the siding installation and the removal of the rodents.  That is not the case.  The removal of the pests and the prevention of them re-entering is part of typical home maintenance and upkeep and is not a service that Power provides.  Power has no liability in the events transpiring at your home as described and while Power would love to be able to assist you in the matter Power representatives are not licensed, insured or trained to perform the kind of work you are requesting.  Power does not sell or provide pest removal or extermination services as a business.

We hired Power House to install siding and a new sliding door. The first day of installation they destroyed my front beds and damaged brand new landscaping in the yard. They were supposed to come back and rectify some small items and never showed up. Now i have a piece of siding that fell off the house on Tuesday 10/19/22 and when i called to request repairs they scheduled me for 5 month out. We were given March 21st, 2023!!This is unacceptable- reading about this company and the complaints all over social media- this seems to be a standard practice. We paid what they wanted and when they wanted- never did they explain if you need service it will be a 6 month wait. The winter is on the way and what about additional damage that will occur with the piece missing from the top of my house. If i end up getting water in my house because the siding fell off, Power Home will be getting that repair bill. I have pictures and all sorts of additional documentation about the awful experience we are still having with Power Home. I am hopeful that BBB will be able to resolve and get me a sooner appointment.

At the present time, Power has you scheduled for the first available date and time for the siding service at your home.  In the event that an earlier date and time become available, a representative will be in contact with you to make alternative arrangements.

There should be no concern of water infiltration from the siding into the home.  While the siding itself is a weather barrier, the house wrap that is installed behind the siding is the true moisture barrier protecting the home. The house wrap is the main line of defense against water intrusion and provided that it is not disturbed the house will be well protected.

I am rejecting this response because: I want to be assured if a couple of things:

!. That we won't be charged for anything when they do come out in March 2023.

      2. Will this wait time extend my warranty? The delay is due to the installer/servicer. Not our inability to be home for them.

We had one of their reps come out named *****. She told us she needed to run a credit check to see if we would be able to get the windows done. She took my fathers SSN number as well as credit card numbers. We told her we were looking for someone else. She said we should schedule a appointment now for them to come out and look at the windows to decide what needed to be done. She said we could cancel any time before the appointment. I saw the contract said we had 3 days to cancel and she said dont worry about that you have untill the first appointment. The whole time she was flirting with my dad and promising to come over and visit and that she would hang out at his b day party. (i included a pic of her signature on the box showing her mentioning the bday party.) After that she ignored all his calls. She also promised to come back and look at our attic. She never showed. I called the company to cancel the appointment today and they said they refused to let us cancel it. I told them about the conversation and they said they dont care. We can not cancel without scheduling someone to come out here. I have seen this before its a tactic to waste time so they can say we waited too long.

I’ve tried to cancel my project since July. I told the company I could no longer afford the project. They never cancelled the project and showed up at my house anyway in September. I told them I couldn’t afford it and they just kept stating they don’t have room in their warehouse but I literally cancelled two months before the project was to be completed. I called again this October cause they rescheduled me to November. Once again they told me they would cancel my project and still it’s not cancelled. These people just don’t listen and I’m not going bankrupt for this corrupt business that harasses people. They’ve already messed up my roof and now I can’t open my windows. I do not and cannot afford them doing my windows when they’ve been so unprofessional and stressful. I have a medically complex child as well!

Thank you for taking the time to contact us about your remodeling experience. We take feedback from homeowners like you very seriously. I apologize for any frustration or aggravation this issue may have caused. I have reviewed your complaint and personally looked into the matter.

The terms of the contract signed 6/29/2022 state that there is a 3 day rescission period in which you, the buyer, retain the right to cancel the project.  After the 3 day rescission period passes, you waive your right to cancel the project.  When you contacted Power Home Remodeling on 7/21/2022 about your project the rescission period had already expired.  Despite the terms of the contract also outlining that the project is to be completed in 10-12 weeks and that you would provide Power access to the property to complete the work, Power has been very flexible with rescheduling the installation several times at your request.  Custom made product for your home has been ordered, manufactured, delivered and paid for and Power continues to store it in an effort to accommodate a later installation date for you.  Your window installation is currently scheduled to be performed on 12/10/2022.

If you still wish to cancel the project there will be a penalty for doing so, as outlined by the contract you signed on 6/29/2022.  For the time being, since Power has come to an agreement with you on an installation date in December, Power will move forward as though you wish to continue with the project.  If that is no longer the case, Power will be able to provide you with the monetary cost of canceling the project.

We recently bought a house and within the first week Power Home Remodeling came by and pitched their product. I felt bad for the associate and was curious to see what the quote would be so agreed to have them do a quote. They came and did the quote and we decided it was to much to move forward with at the time. After the sales person left we received a call and reiterated we were not interested. After receiving multiple calls (around 5) within a month and stating every time I wasn't interested and to not call again I had to block their number. While blocking their number solves that issue I have also had multiple people show up at my house as well to continue to try and sell the product. The second one I explained the situation and they seemed to understand but since then another 3 people form power home remodeling have shown up and tried to sell their products. I have tried to resolve it in person with the people who visited as well as over the phone but they persist in trying to contact and sell to me even though I have made it clear I don't want to work with their company. The camera pictures are only from when I installed a camera and there are still 3 visits in 2 months after asking them to not come by.

We contracted Power Home Remodeling to replace our gutters and completely reside our home. The job was completed (with some minor complaints) and signed off by the Shelton Building Inspector on July 8, 2022. We had called and dates scheduled for Power to correct the complaints. None of the appointments were kept by Power and no phone call were received from them either as explanations on why. Just prior to Sept. 26, 2022, ** subcontracted ****** Tree Service to cut trees to clear power lines. While working on trees on our property a cut limb hit our phone/cable feed lines near the ** pole and partially pulled the lines from the side of our home, pulling a 3-4 foot section of siding away and a vent cover off the house. ****** Tree was contacted and a rep came out to see and verify the damaged siding. They stated they would pay for the repairs. Power has been contacted several additional times to correct the minor complaints and dates have been set for those and to pick up some unused materials. All have been NO SHOWS. The latest was Oct. 11, 2022. Another NO SHOW or even a phone call like the others. When Power was contacted at 3pm that afternoon (their arrival time was to be 8am to 12 noon) they told us to contact another siding company to do the repairs. Both the gutter installers and the vinyl siding installers were apparently sub-contractors. There were no Power logo's on their vehicles and we have no information on how to contact the siders for the repairs and/or any additional material that may be required. It has been over 3 months and we still cannot get Power to correct our complaints. One of them is a safety issue where the pouch railings are not properly secured to the home.

Power installed a large bay window and new gutters for my husband and I approximately 7 years ago. We noticed a leak in a bedroom ceiling and upon observation also noted our gutters have detached from the exterior of the house. I called the warranty service number to have a technician come out and the first available appointment was December 29th 2022, over 2 months from now. I was re-assured if I had a local roofer/gutter guy assess the roof and determine the leak was in fact caused was the gutter issue and not a separate problem that the scheduled December appt could be escalated. I called yesterday to relay that information and have been told there are no sooner appointments as of now. Totally unacceptable to claim to provide a warranty on product and labor that doesn't take into account a timeframe for further damage caused by not fixing the problem in a timely manner.

They installed a door at our home and failed to properly install. The door handle nor dead bolt will latch shut, leaving the door easily accessible by anyone from the inside or outside without a key. They’ve been out twice already to “fix” and it’s still not resolved. It’s been a year since it’s been replaced and they refuse to send anyone out until March of 2023 to attempt to fix the door for a 3rd time.
