I ordered a 20ft dumpster to be delivered Monday September 18, 2023. I paid $403.00 on August 25, 2023.
A man in a ******* truck with a dumpster (not sure how to spell it), sit out in front of my house maybe 5 minutes but never called or knocked on my door and I never went to talk to him because I ordered from Budget Dumpster and since this information was no where on the truck and the man wasn't getting out to come to the door, I thought it wasn't for me. After that I receive an email saying that he couldn't drop the dumpster and it will cost me $150.00. I do know that contract said if they can't drop the dumpster it would cost me $150.00, but he didn't try to drop it because he never even knocked on my door or called me to do this. If there was a problem that I was unaware of then he should have knocked on the door and said something I would have told him to put it in the yard. I know that this dumpster will fit in the driveway 3 different ways because me and and an UPS man measured it, not to mention my yard was available(all I had to do was move my car). I am 53 years old with bad knees and had to work overtime to get this dumpster and scheduled a vacation to use it and because this man wouldn't knock on my door or call me he got $150.00 from me. I did not know that he was Budget Dumpster he drove a ******* truck(or however it is spelled). I would like my $150.00 back because I trusted these folks to drop a dumpster and instead they stole $150.00 from me. Budget Dumpster is in the process of refunding $403.00 dollars back to my account which they say will take 2-5 business days but, they took $150.00 more out of my account. I did not approve the 150.00 extra to come out of my account. If I thought that a 20ft dumpster wouldn't have fit I would have not ordered one because I would not have wanted to give $150.00 away for free.

Additionally, yard placement was not possible, in order to protect the customer's property, due to the presence of a water meter, which would risk bursting the water lines. Same day delivery requests are more difficult given the last minute nature of the order. We work to fulfill every request as promised, but on occasion run into fulfillment issues with this tight turnaround. Dumpster was scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday September 5th 2023.
I'm asking to be fully refunded money's paid including the failed drop fee.
This is an excuse used due to the inability or skill set to navigate the the vehicle and drop the dumpster. I have had other dumpsters dropped in my driveway near the garage when I first moved to my home without an issue the same size.
The dumpster driver noted that there was an obstruction which is false the driveway is flat there was nothing in it as a requested if he's referring to the wires connected to the house there is a v shape gap that will allow vehicles to move back towards the garage.
The previous day I had a pod dropped to the rear of the house near the garage without an issue.

dumpster was delivered on tuesday aug. 29 it was placed in an empty driveway crooked and the doors are unable to open as they are jammed into hedges for me to fill . i called twice to have to moved and sent pictures and was told they can't !!!! I have had other dumpsters placed before without difficulty I explained i can't use it where it is placed. i asked them to pick it up and refund and they told me that i will lose 200$ I don't think i should have to pay 200 for a empty dumpster that was placed in an unusable position.

I ordered a 10 yard dumpster from Budget Dumpster and it was delivered for $449. On 6/23 they got a call from a random phone number not associated with the account and an unverified person saying the dumpster wasn't big enough and they needed a swap for a 20 yard dumpster. Budget Dumpster without verifying who they spoke to from the random phone number not on file with the account went ahead and approved the dumpster swap for an additional $529 and charged it to the credit card on file used to rent the original dumpster without verifying any credit card details. I listened to the phone call and have no idea who the person is and do not recognize the number the person called from. Now Budget Dumpster is refusing to reimburse me for the full $529 they charged me, that I never authorized, they fraudulently charged my credit card without verifying any information on who was calling or even a cvc on the card or zip code. They did offer a half refund, but I shouldn't have to pay anything for a dumpster I never requested.

We apologize that the customer is unhappy with the purchase of an additional dumpster. On 6/21 we received a call from the phone ending in **** inquiring about pricing for dumpsters for this service address. The next day, 6/22, an online order for a 10 yd dumpster was placed for this service address. After the dumpster arrived on the property, we received a follow-up call from the **** phone number stating that the dumpster delivered to the address was not large enough and that he would like to order a larger dumpster. The card details were verified and the caller instructed the representative to use his son's card, which was the card on file. in our industry, multiple contractors, workers, and family members often work on projects together to coordinate logistics of a clean up. Therefore, the 10 yd dumpster was removed 6/23, with a final weight of .75 tons, and a 20 yd dumpster was subsequently delivered. Our team verified the address of the second dumpster and the payment information at the time of the order. Both dumpsters were used and the charges for the rentals remain valid.Customer Answer

The number Budget referenced ending in **** is not associated with my account in anyway which I told them from the beginning. I don't even know who the number belongs and it definitely wasn't my dad on the other end of the call. The card details were also never verified as Budget Dumpster says. The only thing Budget Dumpster asked was to charge the card on file. Budget Dumpster sent me the audio and they CLEARLY never verified anything. I attempted to attach the file to the complaint but it was too large. I can do so in an email with BBB if requested. According to Budget Dumpster anyone can drive around and find a budget dumpster and call in from random number requesting dumpster swaps without them verifying ANYTHING and they will happily approve it. I will never rent from them again and will make sure all the contractors I work with in this area and friends never rent from them as well.

It was clear in our communications with these customers that both parties were explicitly involved in the clean-up project. Both parties requested pricing for this address, called in about needing a larger dumpster as the smaller one on the property was not large enough, and gave word of mouth accounts of details at the delivery site. Given the information, the subsequent dumpster was charged to card on file as instructed by the customer. We understand that this customer would like to maintain that he has no relation to the phone number that called in requesting the larger dumpster, however, we now know that it was his tenant at this address that requested the swap out for a dumpster. We apologize that we could not make this connection sooner. Should the container have been delivered in error, our team would have instructed them to leave the container empty for removal, had the customer addressed this issue at the time of delivery. Rather, two dumpsters were requested, used, and disposed of from this address. Therefore, the charges remain valid since our organization has to cover the disposal fees associated with hauling away this debris. Once again Budget Dumpster is lying regarding the circumstances to cover theirs since they illegally charged my credit card. That number that called Budget Dumpster has ZERO affiliation with me and I have no idea who it is. It was never clear in any communication with Budget Dumpster from an authorized phone number or person that this phone number was involved with the clean up project. I never called or Budget Dumpster NEVER received a phone call from an authorized number or even KNOWN person requesting a dumpster swap. The only details given of the delivery site was the address so I can drive around and find any budget dumpster and request swaps as long as I can provide the address since Budget Dumpster does not verify who they are speaking to or any credit card information before charging someone over $500. EVERY company I have ever worked with in construction has always done their due diligence when it comes to verifying who they are talking to and charging accounts.**** *******

I placed the order for a dumpster online through their website. It was a pretty easy process and they were reasonably priced, so I selected a delivery date and paid. It was supposed to be delivered on Monday, so I took the week off work so I could fill it as well as complete the remodel project. At 3 pm on Friday I received a call saying the provider was going to be closed on Monday but will deliver Wednesday. At that point it was too late to reschedule my vacation so I used a day for no reason. Wednesday came and went, so I called that afternoon and was assured that it would be delivered that day, but it could be as late as 8 pm. Second vacation day used for no reason. Now it’s day three and I still do not have a dumpster and my project will be rescheduled due to lack of space to put debris until a dumpster finally shows up. I contacted them again today and was assured it would be here in the next 2 hours, but it’s been 3 now and it’s not here. I would NOT recommend using this company if you have a deadline of any kind. I should have done more research and known they are not reliable.

This place is a scam. My husband ordered a total of 3 dumpsters from this place one large one and then when it was filled we asked for a smaller one once they picked up the larger one. They are a third party vendor so they work with several dumpster companies. They sent the wrong company to pick up the first dumpster which was through a different company. Then they had the audacity to try to charge US a $150 trip fee! Even tho it was THEIR MISTAKE! Luckily for us we had ring cameras all around the property so we had proof that they sent the wrong company out so they had no choice but to credit us. Then for some reason unbeknownst to me my husband ordered another dumpster after the small one was was picked up. Now mind you this was the last of the 3 dumpsters. The other two times we scheduled the pick up simply bc we were replacing the full dumpster with an empty dumpster to fill. Keep that in mind. The final dumpster however was just to be picked up when filled and we were done. The sales person that my husband spoke with never advised him that it was our responsibility to schedule a pick up. He thought that being that we didn’t need another one after we filled this one that they would just pick it up in a set amount of days like any other dumpster company. That wasn’t the case however. Keep in mind prior pick ups took well over a week they left their dumpster in our driveway blocking access to it until it was convenient for them. The dumpster sat on our property for 13 days when we decided to call them to find out why they haven’t picked it up yet and we were told we had to call them to schedule the pick up and that we would be charged for each day that it sat. $345. They sent me a recording of the call and not once did the rep advise my husband that he must call to schedule the pick up. When I spoke to the manager he said “well it’s in the email we sent”. We scheduled this via phone call not via email. Scam company buyer beware!

We are sorry the customer is frustrated with their experience. The trip fee was refunded to the customer and our team was in contact to communicate this refund. As the customer ordered three dumpsters, a Service Agreement was provided to the customer each time. Within each Agreement it is clearly notated that the customer "Remember to schedule the pickup. Please contact us using the information below before the last day of your service period to avoid late fees. Visit our website and fill out the schedule a pick-up form." Additionally, in the initial sales call, our representative did inform the customer that it would be a ten day rental period and they would have to schedule the pickup of their dumpster. Just as the customer scheduled the dumpster swaps, they were required to schedule the final pickup, and were properly informed to do so by phone and email. april 12th 2023 i paid $547 for a 20 yard dumpster to be deilvered on april 17th. The dumpster didnt make it to the location until the 19th. I loaded the dumpster and scheduled the pickup that same afternoon. I received an email the following day stating that the dumpster would be picked up on april 21st. I received an email april 26th stating the dumpster had been moved and they couldnt pick it up which resulted in me being charged $150. There were other crews working at the location on the weekend of april 22nd that had to move it to gain access to the back of the property. If the dumpster would have been picked up on the day it was scheduled instead of 5 days later, then it would have never been moved.

This was a rather unusual circumstance. When our driver arrived to remove the dumpster, the dumpster had already been moved by crews on site to make the placement more convenient for them (Budget Dumpster strongly prohibits this in our service agreement). The third-party crews placed the dumpster between two houses and because of the angle, there was not enough room to remove the dumpster without the blatant risk of hitting one of the houses. Therefore, the removal of the dumpster was delayed until the dumpster was relocated to the original placement, where our large trucks could safely access and remove it. Budget Dumpster acknowledges that there were delays in the delivery of the dumpster. Our confirmation details warn the customer this is an inherent possibility when renting a dumpster, however, we make every effort to avoid service delays; they do happen. We communicated with the customer as best as possible and extended their rental period at no charge to ensure they got full use of their rental period. We are certainly sympathetic to the customer's concerns, as there were some unusual and unnecessary additional logistics involved. However, we believe we did our best to deliver on our service promises while navigating these issues. The trip fee charge remains valid.Customer Answer

Our driver maintains the fact that he was there on the scheduled pickup date to remove the dumpster. When he arrived the dumpster had already been moved by the work crews and, therefore, he was unable to remove the dumpster. He took the photo that is attached. Please know this driver is extremely reputable and the most skilled driver we use in this particular area. Therefore, we have a strong reason as to why our outcome remains the same on the matter. Additionally, our terms and conditions support this outcome. There will be no further compensation.

That picture doesn’t have a date attached. The other crew didn’t start work on the property until Saturday. If he would have came that Friday then I would have received a text that day stating it couldn’t be picked up. Instead I didn’t hear anything until the following Wednesday.

Called to order a dumpster from budget dumpsters on phone said I can put all waste in it 2-3 tons but when I got a email after the phone call about terms that was not discussed on phone and delivery was already set up. It said different that only 1 ton it was delivered with debris in dumpster from a 3rd party (***********) told budget dumpster. I filled the dumpster up with yard debris and called for pick up. It was picked up march 14, 2023.
The driver did not arrive till it was dark out. Which caused him to load it incorrectly because he did not line up the track. Which causes the dumpster to get stuck. As for it getting stuck the driver used the hydraulics to try to get it unstuck off of the dumpster tracks to the truck causing it to repeatedly hit the driveway with all the weight like a hammer drill on concrete. (Chips and cracks) on driveway. I emailed them with before and after photos trying to resolve it but said my claim was denied even with before and after photos with time stamps. The 3rd party driver when I talked him on the phone he said he did not want to pay for it so he lied about geting the track on the hydraulic stuck which caused the damage. I just wanted what was damaged fixed . With no luck even with pictures before and after. They even charge me an overage fee $278. This is a really shady company that when on phone says one thing then when it’s delivered then they send you terms different than what is said over the phone.

We take claims like this seriously, as it’s always our intention to provide great customer service and transparent practices. A thorough review of this customer's experience has been conducted. After reviewing the original sales call, the weight limit and overage pricing for the dumpster were properly communicated to the customer. This matched the 2000lb weight limit that was emailed to the customer in their rental agreement. There should be no confusion on this detail. When the service was completed, the documentation from the state-regulated weighing process indicated that the customer exceeded this pre-purchased limit. Therefore, the customer was billed to cover the amount of overage. That documentation was provided to the customer.
We have reviewed this damage claim and spoken to all parties involved in the determination. The dispatch placed a courtesy call to see if the customer would like the dumpster to be removed in the evening, or the following morning, as it was getting late in the day. On this call, the customer indicated that they wanted the same-day, night time pickup. In regards to the removal of the dumpster, Dispatch confirmed there was no error or damage. Our investigation determined that this damage was not caused by negligence, as placement instructions for the dumpster were followed, but that the property was not able to support the weight of the dumpster, truck and materials. We are saddened to hear this customer remains dissatisfied, however, all proper protocols were followed.Customer Answer

Attach before picture with no chips to concrete before delivery. And after photos with chips. As far as scheduling it was scheduled to be pick up that day, so I don’t know why they would come at night. The option to come the next day was not told to me. That’s news to me need to work on there communication skills because I was not given a option. The neglect happen when the driver got the track stuck which caused the crack and chirping. I sent over email with pictures and emails regarding fees if not picked up on date that was scheduled. Picture of before and after. Also with debris in dumpster when arriving and sent a email.

The outcome of the courtesy call placed by dispatch to the customer was to remove the dumpster that same evening, rather than wait until the next morning. The removal was completed without error that night as approved by the customer. Our team has thoroughly investigated this claim and determined these markings as consistent with scuffs that may occur with the invitation of heavy machinery onto property. While we are sympathetic to the customer's concerns, per our mutually agreed upon terms of service, we are not liable for any damage that is a result of the structural integrity of the customer's property. We apologize this is not the customer's desired outcome, however, this is our final determination on the matter. In regards to the small amount of debris present at the time of delivery, our team provided a credit of 35$ to account for any weight that could result from this debris.
