      On 25 September, I called Budget to arrange for a dumpster at my home on 6 October. After viewing photos on google maps, they agreed and I paid them $488.00. The representative stated that they had a 3 day delivery window and he would set it from the 4th to the 6th with a note that the dumpster should be dropped off on the 6th. I asked if that meant the dumpster would arrive on the 6th and he stated that they were "very good" about dropoff times, which I took to mean yes.

      When I got off work on the 4th, I had a voicemail asking me to contact Budget. They informed me that the dumpster was not able to be dropped off but could not explain why. Afterwards, they provided me four different explanations why the dumpster was not dropped off but agreed (after more photos) that it could be placed. Then they told me they couldn't try again until the 10th, which did not work for my project), so I asked for a refund, which they agreed to and sent me an invoice for.

      Meanwhile, I was receiving automated texts informing me that I would be fined by the day if I did not return the dumpster (which I did not have) on time, so I froze my debit card to prevent unauthorized charges. Following my request for a refund, Budget called and informed me that they intended to charge me an additional $150 "trip fee" for the unsuccessful first attempt. I note that I have no proof delivery was ever attempted.

      I informed Budget that I did not agree with an additional charge since nothing had changed on my property since the first attempt and they couldn't articulate why it wasn't dropped off the first time, at which point they stated that they would not refund my $488.00 unless I agreed to pay them the trip charge. As of this writing, they are threatening to send that charge to collections and have not issued a refund. I am pursuing a chargeback with my bank and want Budget to agree that the trip charge is not appropriate, and I want no further dealings with them.

      We apologize that the customer's dumpster was not delivered to the driveway as requested, as there was debris in the driveway and an inadequate amount of space for the truck to safely maneuver. The driver then advised of potential street placement, and one of our representatives attempted to call the customer to get the alternative placement approved, but was unable to get ahold of the customer while the driver was still on site. Our team relayed we could not reattempt the delivery until Monday, which did not work for the customer, and we waited to be provided a better delivery date at a later time. We ultimately did not deliver this dumpster as the customer elected to cancel, and was refunded in full. This trip fee has been waived, and the invoice has been voided so the customer should not receive any further emails regarding this fee. We sincerely apologize for any frustration and regret we could not provide a more positive experience.
