      I was blown away by the price some; however, I needed the service so paid.The service person, Mang, was very impolite and inpatient with me when I stopped to read the contract before signing it. I was told that certain details could not be written on the contract, I asked why. Im a very impolite way, so was told that this could not happen until the job was completed.Seems that there was something to hide. At any rate, when I checked in the progress in my basement, I found that Mang was using my shop vac as a bucket to drain the tank and was standing on my table that was in the basement. The table was old; however that gave Mang no right to stand on it to do the work without asking me first.Very disappointed overall.

      They arrived on Thanksgiving and were professional kind and solved the messy problem. I can’t say enough kind words about our technicians Luke and Joe. Thanks for saving the day.

      The correct rating would be zero stars. Call the plumbers who will give you their prices on the phone or before they get there after you have stated the exact problem. If they can't give you an exact price, they can give you a price range. Anyone who charges $600.00 to clear a bathroom sink drain in my opinion is a thief. They waited until they got to the house to tell me the price and would not tell it to me over the phone when I told them the exact problem and that it was a 20-minute job to snake the drain. I was too sick to go do it. After I complained to the Better Business Bureau about it, they had the gall to bother me by calling me from a number **********. I will never deal with Roto Rooter or anyone that works with them again. I recommend you stay away from Roto Rooter unless you want your money to go down the drain.

      I DO NOT RECOMMEND!I called Roto-Rooter to unclog the drain leading from house. A plumber and another guy came out. The plumber fixed problem, overcharging me by $500. The other guy consulted with the plumber, to bring the costs down $300 (only $200 overcharge).Now the other guy with Roto-Rooter said I have a drain problem that would cost $17,000! He showed me pictures which were supposed to be the problem in the lip of the drain and told me they would have to dig up the concrete to fix it. He said my insurance company would pay for it and produced a contract for the proposed work. I did not sign and told him Id get other estimates. I was skeptical and called my insurance company, and of course they would not pay for it. The guy continued to call for several days over Memorial Day weekend as if he had gained my confidence and wanted to make it work. I talked with my contractor who had previously cleaned the drain, and he said there was no such problem when he cleaned and took pictures of that drain.After three days of the guy calling, I told him not to call me again, that I did not trust him or Roto-Rooter.

      Not sure what I received for what I paid. Guess I got a sink faucet installed and was told what your tech felt was problem with tub leak. Have no received a copy of my bill as yet, was not very impressed with the service and lack of bill copy.

      The men that came to the house were great. They did their jobs, were respectful and worked hard. The accounting person was a real pain to deal with. She didnt return my calls or the insurance agency calls and was rude and demanding. The only reason she responded was I called to speak to a manager and she answered that call. The insurance company is very unhappy with her too. She is the reason I left one less star not the people that worked on the plumbing.

      More like rip-off rooter in ********* **. I will NEVER use this service again. I DO NOT recommend it unless they are your only option. I was charged $500 for my main line being cleared. It was explained to me that it was a flat rate for the time that they were there and anything else done there additionally was $30. Well that was not the case, my bathroom sink was snaked and I was charged another $500 ON TOP of the $500 for the main line, not $30. When I questioned it, I was given a verbal run around about the pricing changing and was told that I had to pay it. So obviously the service person was trying to make a commission off of what was being charged to me. On top of that they charged me for some kind of purple drain cleaner that I didnt ask for. RIP OFF!

      I had a sewer back up in my basement. Roto-Rooter came out to fix the problem. They "snaked" the line. They also told me I had to replace the damaged line and would cost me 20,000. After leaving, my basement smelled like sewer gas. I wanted a second opinion anyway, so I called another company. They came out and said that roto rooter broke a cap allowing sewer gas into my basement. They never informed me of this. They also never removed the house trap clean out as well. Meaning they never cleaned it out properly. I called the company several times to complain, and they never responded. I left two voicemails. Texted an associate with pictures and broke everything down. Whenever I call during the 8:00-9:00 they are not in yet. I call between 11:00-1:00 they are on lunch. I call at 3:30 they left early for the day.

      They helped me with a drain backup. Said they couldn't access the drain without pulling the toilet. Almost doubled my expense and it was not necessary to pull the toilet. They gave a free camera inspection of the main line. Quoted over 10,000 dollar in repairs and said it was urgent. Had another company come out for a second opinion and no issues were found in the main line. Tried to scam us for over 10k.
