  ZERO STARS! Every single person when I said I went with roto-rooter had pure dread on their faces. My story is nearly IDENTICAL to this customer's: "Our main sewer line backed up. Roto-rooter came right out. Snaked the drain and said they couldn't penetrate a root ball in the line and it would need to be trenched. It was going to cost 10k. We luckily got a second opinion. They were able to snake the drain and clear it for less than 1k. Roto-rooter had another cleanup guy come out and he was a fast talker wanting us to file an insurance claim and how we needed to spend all this money cleaning up a small overflow."- They got to 10ft, stopped and said they can't get past. (this is the first time I've used this company and in the past, a DIFFERENT COMPANY was ALWAYS able to clear to the street. So I disputed the $467 charge and asked them to come back and get through this or I'm not paying. Then they spent more time on it, got to 20ft, saw roots again, and STOPPED AGAIN...Then they sent me a new proposal to have all of this replaced!!! So I maintained the disputed charge for my cc company to investigate. Now they are saying they will sue ME for payment!!!

  I hired roto rooter in October or 2021 Work was supposed to be done on my sewage pump I bought the pump. Roto rooter was to install the sewage pump I purchased. I had no issues for a year and some. Then the sewage pump started backing up again. I paid roto rooter over 775 and paid water restoration also through roto rooter so I’m well over 1000$ not wanting to spend so much the second time around I reached out to my realtor who put me in contact with someone who put me in contract with another plumber. When this plumber pulled out what I thought was a sewage pump it was infact a sump pump!!! No one has touched my sewage pump since the tech at roto rooter in Baltimore md the audacity of him to come in my home and steal my part and put in a sump pump. I have been going back and forth with a manager at roto rooter to get my money back No luck ! It’s bad enough they tried to charge me 1000$ for a 400$ sewage pump I had to pay 775 for the work done and they are saying they can’t give me my money back it been to long well statue of limitations is 7 years and it only been two I want my money back and the money spent to get a new part and the money is cost to get it put back in roto rooter cost my thousand in damages and they need to be held accountable for their thieving employees! Don’t let them work alone in your home watch over them like a hawk! if they leave out check what they bring back in your house check what they leave out with they left with my brand new sewage pump in a black bags he tried to take the box but I wanted to keep it cause it said I had a 3 year warranty but come to find out I can’t use it because he STOLE MY PART!!!! I have been suffering in silence for too long I going to be heard and ROTO ROOTER I WANT ALL MY MONEY plus DAMAGE PAID BACK !

  No Stars! They came out scammed my family out of our hard working money on a job they never properly finished. Only to turn around 3 days later to tell me to call the City of ********* to fix a job they was paid to fix, however the worker said to get it done for fee on the taxpayers dime because they are to lazy and incompetent to do it the right way. I responded with I am one of those taxpayers!! Save yourself and your money!!!

We luckily got a second opinion. They were able to snake the drain and clear it for less than 1k. Roto-rooter had another cleanup guy come out and he was a fast talker wanting us to file an insurance claim and how we needed to spend all this money cleaning up a small overflow. He said our furnace was blowing p*** in our ducts. After he left we removed the furnace filters to inspect the bottom of the furnace and it was bone dry with years of duct. Just a mir scare tactic. Get a 2nd opinion!

  I had called roto-rooter in an emergency because my bathroom was flooding. They had came to fix the issue four times in total the first time all he did was take apart the toilet and vacuum then when he put the toilet back on, and never put a new seal on or even put the old one back on. Even though there website says they replace and supply everything. So then everything started flooding again, then afterwards everything got backed up and a pipe burst underneath my house, which flooded everything under there I had to make a claim with my insurance, because everything was ruined from them. Then they came back again because they said it was a tree root issue, they had cut the tree root but when they did that because it was connected to a pipe, they never put the pipe back on that they disconnected to fix the tree root problem and because of that now every time you flush everything goes under the house and everything under there is ruined. I had to file a claim with my insurance I had to report them to BBB And they also charge me an extreme amount of money for something that was their fault. Then when I called customer service for an issue that I had about them trying to have someone come out to fix their issue that they created even worse all I did was get yelled at by a lady who told me that it’s not their fault and kept repeating the same words and wouldn’t even let me get a word in . Don’t go here. They’re a bunch of amateur plumbers that don’t know anything about what they’re doing and when the first guy named Brian came to begin with I told him the issue was underneath the house in the very beginning and all he said was, I don’t want to go under the house and plus it will cost even more money than what I was already paying and I was already paying over $1000 just for him to vacuum the toilet and put a snake in.

  The service techs worked hard and diligently for 3 hours to open my drains. They clean up and were very respectful. I would use Roto Rooter in the future and recommend this company.

  Jon was amazing! He was able to replace our garbage disposal quickly. He noticed that not only had the disposal been leaking but the faucet. He replaced that as well and no more leaks. He was patient, kind and professional. I give him the highest recommendation!!!!

  Here is the timeline of events and if needed I can forward pictures TIMELINE for roto rooter Placed call at 8:29am Received text at 8:38am (30-45)Placed call to ask about the $200 off at 9:04 Placed call at 9:43 which he arrived at 9:45 Came in at 9:50 saw and explained the issue. Left at 10:25 with a quote for $2900 without ANY breakdown returned to start replacement at 11:35am Finished at 12:35ish Left around 12:45 My neighbors have had theirs done and was around $1400 over the summer and another neighbor last month was $1700. Our concern is theres no true accountability in the billing just a random number to rip us off.
