I do not have an account with Debt Recovery Solutions they are on my credit report. I never signed any contracts and I do not have a financial agreement lease or obligation to this company. They say I owe $513. This is erroneous.Business Response

Today Feb 10, 2023 I received a credit alert of a major derogatory account was detected on my credit file. I saw information that is on the attached document. I have no idea who DRS is and have no debt with them. This report is false and needs to be removed from my credit file.Business Response

Received a letter from Debt Recovery Services DRS dated December 30, 2022, stating that I owe $7549.88 to a company called *********** I have received no documented proof from them validating this debt. Collections have been placed on my credit report as the account was opened in November 2023. This is not true. Debt Recovery Services. I understand this company is notorious for not abiding by the rules concerning debt collection. This needs to be removed from my credit report ASAP.Business Response

This company is a collection agency, trying to collect money on a pay day loan. My husband ***************** or I ***************** did not take. This is fraudulent and a case of identity theft. We already filed a dispute with all three credit bureau agency and with the ************************ **************** ************************** regarding this matter. I received a phone call from *********************** at ************ I tried to talk to him to explain this is identity theft, but he kept yelling at me and said my husband took out a loan and paid them ****** but it's untrue, the bank account that the payment was made from is not our account. He kept yelling at me and I was trying to explain to him, but he just didn't want to communicate and I asked him to send me all the document that he says my husband took out a loan. He yelled and then hung up on me. Not how a business conversation should go. He keeps harassing us, keeps calling and leaving argumentative messages.Business Response

On Dec. 29, 2022, I checked my credit report and noticed that I had an account in collections from DRS. I have not received any correspondence or communication in regard to the debt which is violating the ****** 809 Validation of debts. As of December 2022, I noticed this company DRS is reporting incomplete and inaccurate information on my credit report. Along with that I have never given this company permission to furnish my consumer report. *** **** TRUTH IN LENDING ACT *** **** It defines me as the original creditor I have never given this agency consent to view or report any information. On October 19, 2022, and again on November 7, 2022 Debt Recovery Solutions, LLC received my dispute letters requesting verification of the debt they are reporting to the credit bureaus. I do did recall having any obligation to any creditor in the amount they claim I owe. As of today, I have not received a reply to my request for verification of the account the debt collector is reporting to ***********. The debt collector violated 392.301(a)(3) of the ***** Finance Code when they continued collection activity on an account they failed to validate after they were notified in writing within the specified 30 days. I am respectfully requesting the prompt removal of the account from my credit report. I am making every effort to resolve this matter without presenting my case before a courtroom jury in my community. I look for **** to your cooperation in this matter.Business Response

I checked my credit report this year and there is a loan showing on the report for $3,960. It shows the loan was open on 8/25/2022. It has very derogatory remarks on my report saying that the loan is 3 months past due, but I never opened a loan for this amount. This is false information and needs to be corrected. I have not taken out a loan in 2022. If this is an incorrect date my report needs to be updated to reflect correctly. I've tried calling debt recovery solutions to get them to update the record but they are saying that they cannot change the record. When I disputed this with Transunion, Experian, and Equifax and all three stated that this meets FCRA requirements. They also shared that the loan wasn't opened 8/25/2022, but it went into collections back in 12/2018. The problem for me is that on my credit report, it is being displayed like this is a brand-new loan, when in actuality this loan is extremely old. The dates should reflect that on my credit report and it is not. I don't know what more to do about this issue. The confusion came about when it was put on my credit like it was opened this year. I thought I had encountered identity theft, and the confusion could have been avoided if Debt Recovery Solutions had put accurate information on my credit report. I don't feel comfortable with discussing payment arrangements because based off of the reviews about this company, there are multiple people stating that they have paid and it hasn't gotten removed from their credit report. I am asking for help to resolve this matter. Attached are the screenshots from Transunion, Experian, and Equifax where it is being advertised that this loan was opened 8/25/2022. As you can see, 12/2018 is no where on my credit report. They are making it seem like this is a brand new loan.Business Response
