    Upon reviewing my credit report last few weeks ago, I discovered that I have been a victim of identity theft. I found accounts that I have not opened, tons of unknown addresses that I never resided, and inquiries I never made. Now I am dealing with creditors who want me to file a fraud packet even though proofs has been given already. I also found this account that I believe not mine:Acct name: DEBT REC *** (Original Creditor: ******** ***** ******* ***acct no. ****************date opened 05/05/2022 balance $653.00 I am not liable for this debt and I do not have a contract with:Company: DEBT RECOVERY SOLUTIONS Address: *************************************************************************** Tel No: ************** Police Report and FTC Affidavit are attached with this complaint together with dispute letter sent to *********** and the authorization for release of information. I also filed complaints thru CFPB. Please delete this account from my credit report at once.     DRS committed several violations to the ***** under ************** General Statutes *********, in the pursuit of collecting an alleged debt The date of first delinquency of this alleged debt was 12/2018, DRS opened a collections account on 08/2022 (after the statute of limitations had passed) and started attempts to collect on this alleged debt. Furthermore, ***************************************** debt collection attempts by debt buyers after 3 years (***). See ** General Statutes 58 Article 70, Part 3. Prohibited Practices by ******************* Engaged in the Collection of Debts from Consumers. DRS is attempting to collect on this alleged debt under clear violation of point 4, among others. *********. Unfair practices. No collection agency shall collect or attempt to collect any debt by use of any unfair practices.Such practices include, but are not limited to, the following: (1) Seeking or obtaining any written statement or acknowledgment in any form containing an affirmation of any debt by a consumer who has been declared bankrupt, an acknowledgment of any debt barred by the statute of limitations, or a waiver of any legal rights of the debtor without disclosing the nature and consequences of such affirmation or waiver and the fact that the consumer is not legally obligated to make such affirmation or waiver. (4) When the collection agency is a debt buyer or is acting on behalf of a debt buyer, bringing suit or initiating an arbitration proceeding against the debtor or otherwise attempting to collect on a debt when the collection agency knows, or reasonably should know, that such collection is barred by the applicable statute of limitations.

They have not provided me with the original application for Advance America nor Simple Fast Loans for the alleged debt. I demand that these collection accounts from Debt Recovery Solutions be removed from my credit report.

    As of October 2022, I noticed this company DRS is reporting incomplete and inaccurate information on my credit report. Along with that I have never given this company permission to furnish my consumer report. *** **** TRUTH IN LENDING ACT *** **** It defines me as the original creditor I have never given this agency consent to view or report any information. This is an unlawful act, and my credit has been damaged as a result. This company has invaded my privacy and this information needs to be deleted from my consumer report

    In accordance with the State and Federal Laws that govern your industry, DRS LLC has failed to validate this account and provided me with an insufficient response. Sending me a 1 page document with another company's name at the top does not explain 1) How DRS obtained my information 2) When I opened this alleged account with them 3) Documentation that shows I agreed to pay DRS this alleged debt 4) The agreement that grants them authority to collect on this alleged debt 5) Their state license, including a copy of their license number This erroneous account is negatively impacting my livelihood, and they have failed to prove it is mine in the first place. If the cannot swear under penalty of purjury that an account executive was there when I allegedly opened this debt, this account needs to be deleted. Remove this account from my credit report and cease all collection activity immediately.

    I have never received any correspondence from this company to begin with, nor am I sure how they have avoided my disputes with the credit reporting agencies. I am not familiar with this agency, have no contract with them, and am unclear who they even represent as they have not provided me with any proof that this account is valid or that it belongs to me. I have no idea how companies are allowed to operate this way. I request this fraudulent account be removed immediately from my credit report as this company has failed to provide ANY evidence that this account even exists, even after several disputes requesting I be provided ANY proof of this account, who they "bought" they debt from, and how it could possibly belong to me!There are a number of FCRA violations at play here and I'm beyond frustrated that it is considered acceptable business practice to play with my credit over fraudulent accounts. Get better.
