1 starI regret not having read the BBB reviews of this company before hiring them. In early August 2023 I contacted Shamrock and requested an estimate to repair an apparent leak in my chimney. I received an estimate and description of work to be performed, at a cost of $1,800.00, with the assurance that the problem would be resolved upon completion of work. Included in the estimate were 5 and 10 year warranties on Masonry and Waterproofing respectively. I contracted for the work which was performed on August 9, 2023. A few days later, following a rain storm, the leak continued. The technician returned and applied a "fix". This also proved to be unsuccessful, and the technician returned, and then again for the third time to resolve the issue. The leaking continued. Shamrock has not replied to subsequent calls for resolution, to include my request for the return of $1,000.00 in compliance with the terms of the warranties. I have since had the problem resolved by a competent company who described the previous work by Shamrock to be shoddy at best and counter productive, simply a bandaid to coverup the cause rather than fix it. I would strongly recommend against doing business with Shamrock.Shamrock Chimney

1 starWe had work done on 12/13/23 for a leak in the Chimney which was noticed after a huge storm here in **. They did their inspection and came up with a price of $3,300 we agreed. On Thursday the work was completed, apart from the Masonry work we ended up doing a new liner and cap as well, Lo and Behold 3 days later it rained again and the Chimney was still leaking and that's where the problems started. I called the main office on Monday and was told that a tech will get back to me. On Tuesday I called back, and the phone was answered by ***** who was more upset that I called to file a complaint that no one has called me, and the chimney was still leaking. He HUNG UP on me. Who does that to a customer that just spent **** for work that was not done correctly? Avoid this company at all costs it is worth paying extra to someone who stands by their work and does not need Training on customer service.Shamrock Chimney

1 starOn 6/14/2023 Shamrock Chimney of ******* repaired the top of my chimney because of cracks, motor breaking off, water leakes, ****. Son asked about covering it because of rain. ****** said,don't have to with this mortor. OK. It did rain the next day again and again. Trusted him. In sept. my son cleaned the chimney and found cracks big time. TOOK PICTURES. Water bleeding with motor running down the red bricks. Called 5 times. each time will take care of it. On the 6th time talk to ***** and said he was the one to talk to. Told him the problem about the rain the next day. O it cracked. I said now your on my page. Easy to fix. No call. Their bill of sale says licensed. bonded, insured. If I have some one fix it it's void. Found another in *********,**. Called them thy said, Nov 1st, will see. This is Oct.,winter will cause water to freeze and melt, **** *** said, I have to go after them. Back to square one. I'm 82 yrs old. all electric, heat with wood. ****** you can sill use wood, REALLY? Did not talk about water in house. How do I trust this co? Where do I go from here? Cost-$1900, Discover card. Don't use them. Thy were right on time to do the work. Ihere is a headquarters in ************. Customers contact. ******************************, President. Hope this works. 1 starAs all the reviewers have already stated, BEWARE!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They scammed us too and we're not at all pleased. We just had a well know, professional company come and inspect Shamrock's work because we questioned it was satisfactory for us to install a wood stove. This company (who's owner is apparently a state inspector) inspected the work Shamrock did and confirmed our suspicions. Everything they did was wrong and not per code, especially the most important part of prepping for a wood stove inside our home. Now we are going to have to have all or at least most of Shamrock's work undone and then redone correctly, per code.Shamrock Chimney

1 starAVOID THIS COMPANY!! They engage in VERY SHADY business practices and do ABSOLUTELY LOUSY work. I'm embarrassed to say I got scammed by them to the tuned of $4,500. I dont want others to suffer the same, especially elderly in ***** and NH who live on fixed incomes and can ill afford to be scammed in the way I was. Their work was lousy and they refused throughout to fix or even acknowledge the painfully obvious issues I raised with them. When I finally threatened to withhold payment until they did what I was asking of them, one of the two-man crew stated, very ***********************-like, something very close to, "You really don't know who you're dealing with. You don't want to mess with these people." "These people"? In the end, the job was done not in the least to my satisfaction. The crew leader, ***** from ********, **, said to text him the following week, and he'd see if they might be able to come out to address some of the issues I had with their work. I texted him four times over the ensuing three weeks and got zero replies. I was originally promised a 20-year warranty on the work. When ***** wrote the revised work order up, he included a 10-year warranty. When I said I was promised 20 years, he simply crossed out the 10 and inserted 20, saying, "There. Are you happy?" Ten years or 20 doesn't matter, as I knew fully well, at that point, that their warranty is absolutely worthless. While setting the job up, I had no problem calling their office. Now that the work is done, every time I call, I get voice mail and my calls have never been returned. PLEASE LEARN FROM MY EXPERIENCE AND AVOID SHAMROCK C & C AND GETTING SCAMMED BY THEM THE WAY I DID!Shamrock Chimney

1 starIf I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. I scheduled them to clean my wood stove and chimney on Sept 7. On the 6th, I received a call asking if I could reschedule, which was fine. We reschedule to 9/11 and I was told someone would be here within a given 3-hour timeframe. No one showed and no one called. I had to call. They were "running" late. I was promised that someone would be at my house by a given time. Again. no show. I called again and reschedule to 9/13. AGAIN, no show within the promised time. I reschedule to 9/14, but then they called me back shortly after to say it was going to rain that day and could they reschedule to the 15th, so I agreed, providing that someone would, in fact, be at my house between 9 and 11 that morning. This was confirmed. (BTW, 9/14 was an absolutely gorgeous day; best in 10 days!) Anyway, today is 9/15. I waited until 12:15 and still no show. I called. Again, I was told they're "running late." NOT ACCEPTABLE!!! I cancelled all service because I am convinced that I'll never see anyone, and I don't have time to play these games!! I feel sorry for the customer service reps on their phones who have to listen to irate customers. I'm sure, based on reading others' feedback, that I'm not the only one completely dissatisfied with this company. DON'T USE THEM!Shamrock Chimney

1 starI'm new in the area and couldn't get anyone in my town to help me with chimney remediation because everyone was booked out or maybe because I'm not from around here. The Shamrock technician left stain and sealant pour marks all over the roof. It is a horrible eye sore and mess. He will not return calls or texts to come back and clean up. I also called the main number and the woman there acted annoyed that I was asking for assistance. I'm reasonably certain that the remediation on the chimney won't stand the test of time based on other comments here. It cost $2700 for a c*** job and a big mess. I consider this a dummy tax that I'm paying for hiring this group. I'll research more carefully, find someone here to clean up for me, and warn everyone about the very low quality of work and assistance that Shamrock provides.Shamrock Chimney

1 starBEWARE!!! I was looking thru **** to get a chimney quote, run sleeves down the chimney and cap. I had Shamrock Chimney show up and the man was nice and seemed informative. He went out to his truck and came in with an estimate. $3300 was the job, their price $3000 but if we did it that day or next day $2700. I told him I needed to call my husband as this is my office building. He said he would be out in his truck while I called. I felt pressured. I went out and said ok, how bout a day when my husband was there. He said they would go and get materials at ********** and left my office. I called my husband and he said he would call them and put a hold on the job. He contacted the man 14 minutes after they left my office and was told they already bought stuff and were heading back. They wouldn't have maybe just arrived at the *** no way they got there shopped and checked out and it felt weird that they are a chimney company and had to go to *********** He told my husband we can't cancel as they paid for stuff. My husband said to return it but there is no way they already purchased. My husband was told he would get a call from the boss looking for a credit card. The two men showed up about a half hour back at my office and my husband called and told them to leave the property. He had pressured my husband for that day, next day or following which clearly means they are not busy and have several days open. They were in a ***** beat up van and clearly the pressure/cheaper price would make you think you are saving. He never had me sign anything on the estimate prior to running to ********** and I would clearly avoid this company. I reached out online to a different local roofing company and this company called me immediately. I am not very confident in ****'s list and these guys seem like scammers with a tail light warranty. I am an insurance agent and they also provided no certificate when I asked out licensed/insured.Shamrock Chimney

1 starI needed my chimney cleaned and I had an excess amount of creosote in my pipes Based on ***** inspection, he stated that the cleaning and the repairs that I needed was $1600 but if I paid him today at the time of repairs, he would take off $100 making it $1500 and make three additional payments of 375 for the next three months to cover the $1500. Unfortunately, I agreed because I was in a desperate situation, and I had made the point clear that I was out on FMLA. My insurance was just canceled and I havent received a salary in about a month. But I did have some money, put aside in savings, even though it wasnt enough to cover my mortgage Thats neither here nor there (just stating my current situation at the time.). ****, the technician try to explain to me how his mother was in my same situation lost Her insurance and had no income and was in the same boat as myself I expected to pay $400 or maybe a little bit more not $1500 Unfortunately I did sign his receipt agreeing to pay the amount agreed-upon before starting the work and I will pay this savage,, **** My advice to anyone dealing with this company dont be pressured by the false confidence of how good they are listen to what they have to say and get a second third and fourth quoteShamrock Chimney
