      IF I COULD LEAVE 0 STARS I WOULD. I HAD 2 HOUSES SCHEDULED. THEY CANCELED LAST MINUTE SEVERAL TIMES. FINALLY THEY SHOWED UP AND TOLD ME I HAD A SQUIRREL NEST AND IT WOULD BE $1600 TO REMOVE IT AND IT HAD TO BE REMOVED BEFORE THEY COULF CLEAN MY CHIMNEY. i DID NOT CHOOSE FOR THEM TO DO IT. BOY AM I GLAD I DID'NT !!!! I HAD IT CLEANED BY SOMEONE ELSE AND THERE WAS NO SQUIRREL NEST. IN FACT IT WAS NOT EVEN THAT DIRTY!!!!! VERY MINIMAL DEBRIS CAME OUT. I HAVE PICTURES TO TOPROVE THERE WAS NO NEST!!!! VERY SAD THAT IT IS VETERAIN OWNED AND THEY SCAM PEOPLE OUT OF MONEY!!!!!

      My chimney had not been swept in over ****************************************** my area. I knew it was bad. Shamrock tech showed up and immediately (as suspected) advised that my chimney was very dangerous and was full of stage 3 creosote. I took pics of the build up and sent to ChatGPT which verified it was a "chimney fire waiting to happen. The charge for complete clean out, removal of the old cast iron flue, replacement with a stainless flue/cap and parging of the smokebox and lining with Smoketite was $3,300. The techs came back 2 days later to do the job. It took two techs about 5 hours to complete the job. Overall I feel they did a good job and charged a fair price.

      Oct.3 2024 they installed a new chimney liner and did crown repair. Sept. 2025 had a local company come to inspect for upcoming season.They told us the liner installed only a year ago was deteriorating. Shamrock said the liner is lifetime warranty. The local company actually called Shamrock to inform them the liner was pitting and deteriorating. Shamrock contacted me to remedy this. Had an appointment scheduled in sept. And they never showed up. We had 3 appointments scheduled since and they never showed up. This is very disappointing and frustrating. The final straw was when they were supposed to send their best technician on Nov. 3 2025 to remedy this problem. Today 11/02/25 I received a text message saying they cant come tomorrow 11/03/25. Highly recommend not using this company for chimney cleaning or any other chimney services.

      This is a bad company. Would not give them any stars. Two guys came out. when they arrived, they walked in with boots on, no slipon covers. My husband asked them, and they replied our shoes are clean. I should of stopped them at that point, but I'm sorry you don't enter a home and just walk over some one's clean carpet. Very unprofessional attitude. They were here checking out why our gas fireplace was not turning on. They got soot all over our carpet and brick. The cleanup was a bang-up job. They did not even have proper equipment to do the cleanup. We provided shop ***. This was the worst $75.00 paid. I would stay away from this business. They lack professionalism and they don't know what they are doing. ****

      I may as well add my voice to the chorus of dissatisfied customers. I did not start out this way, but have gotten there quickly. In a nutshell....we had them repoint our chimney and drop a 6" flue liner down to a new wood burning insert that I was installing. Technician was great, took the time to clean up, would not install the first cap since it was not quite sized correctly. All good. Burned kiln dried wood in insert for single season. Went to light a fire couple of weeks ago on a chilly night....chimney would not draw, fire would not light. Called Shamrock to come out and check it out....guy showed up to my house without a ladder long enough to reach roof despite them knowing who I was and where I lived from my phone number. Technician looked in behind the insert and could not see any issue...mainly because all he could see was flue liner attached to top of insert with insulation between liner and inside of chimney. Told my wife and me on the phone that "we had a blockage"....rocket science there. I asked what his visual evidence was and he had none since he had not been on roof and could not see anything in the house. Quoted $800 to clear a blockage...only $75 for cleaning....hmmm. Told me i needed to call office and reschedule another appt. Before I could even get around to that, I got an estimate via e-mail for clearing of blockage for $1000. Called and told them i was not paying $1000 or even $800 for anything that there was evidence of. Scheduled another visit from technician for a Monday that I happened to have off from work. (1-4 pm window) At 4:15 pm they called to say they would not be coming and needed to reschedule....fine...2 weeks later on this coming Saturday....shocker, they called to cancel for this Saturday and the next available appt is in 2 weeks. I am willing to bet that they do not come in 2 weeks...stay tuned!

      They scheduled me 3 times and never showed up. I missed 3 days of work waiting all day. They called at the end of each day and said they had emergencies and could not make it. I told them 3 strikes, your out! Would never recommend them to anyone!

      They scheduled FIVE TIMES before they came - I lost 5 days of work waiting all day with nothing to show for it, and there was no communication. When the tech did come, he was 3 hours late and didn't clean my chimney properly. He never took off the face of the fireplace to clean, pushed soot down onto the baffle and blocked the chimney so my living room filled with smoke and all the alarms went off when I lit a fire. They didn't care when I called to get help. Their "manager" somehow told me it was my fault for not proceeding with some suggested "work" when the tech told me I was safe and fine until spring and I had that estimate in my hand less than 24 hours. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. THEY ARE RIP OFF ARTISTS.

      Don't waste your time. They canceled my first appointment the morning of the appointment. So made another appointment for a week later. My appointment was between 2 and 5, so I took off work early. 5 ******* came and nobody showed up or called. Finally at 5:30 they called to say the tech was busy on another job , and wanted me to reschedule another appointment. I lost a half day of pay for this.

      I cannot even give this company one star. We were scheduled for a cleaning of our chimney, and I was quoted $75. When the tech arrived, he went to the roof (with my husband watching the whole time) and told my husband we needed a new chimney cap. He then went to the other side of the roof and looked at that chimney, and then came down off the roof. He came in to the house and "vacuumed" around our already spotless fireplace (my husband had just cleaned it). The tech told my husband he cleaned the chimney, but then changed his story that due to the shape of our chimney, he was unable to clean it, yet still charged us $75. My husband paid the $75 via check. I called Shamrock the next day, questioning the $75 and asking for a refund. I was told that the $75 was for an inspection, which I never asked for. When I said the cleaning wasn't performed and I wanted my money back, I was told the tech still needed to be paid for his time to come out to my house. I did finally speak with a manager who was supposed to talk with the tech and call me back -- this was six days ago. Everytime I email the company asking for a call back, they tell me either the manager is out of the office, helping other customers, or that someone will get back to me, and I am still waiting. I will never recommend this company to anyone. Their customer service is horrendous, they say they have performed a service, but then change the story to say they were unable to perform it... it's been a very frustrating process. AND... the check has been cashed and sadly we have no recourse. Stay away from this company!!

      Do not hire this company whatsoever. They are nothing but crooks. I paid them $3,900 and didnt realize until after they left there was SOOT all over my basement floor, walls, and personal items that have been stored. They wanted pictures for proof oh and I had them. I cant believe all they offered me was a free chimney cleaning on October of 2026 of next year. This happened last Tuesday and I have been disputing non stop with an unprofessional so called service.oh let me add that the tech named **** asked if I had a broom? Yes a broom they had no cleaning equipment just their van a ladder. Im sure in time this so called business will be shut down.
