Everything was running smoothly for months until I got a larger $3258 order. I got the customer his parts then suddenly ********************** requested that I email them as follows:1.A clear image of the credit card(s) used to pay for your Wix Premium plan. For security reasons, show only the last 4 digits of the card number, cardholder name and expiration date. 2.Government-issued ID of the cardholder(s) who purchased the Premium plan.3. A description of your business.4.If you have a Wix Payments Business account: a government-issued document showing your business is registered (e.g. company/corporate registration, official tax document, articles of incorporation).5. Proof of delivery of a product/service youve provided (proof of shipping or an email with a download link). 6. Government-issued ID of the business owner(s).Which seemed kind of odd and unprofessional but I did it. Then after that they sent more emails requesting more info each email is not consistent info and the last one that I will not do is as follows:A high-quality selfie holding your Driving License;A new photo of your Credit Card, making sure that all 4 corners visible;A detailed description of how your business acquired these products and how your orders are fulfilled;Copies of your fulfillment agreements with suppliers, if there are non?, please provide us with invoices;Pictures of storage of your goods;Any reviews or feedbacks from customers;Explain how you are advertising your website or otherwise how your customers get to know about your services/products;Tracking delivery numbers (or links) of the last 5-7 fulfilled orders;I have talked to them on the phone many times and at times told I was all good and should see my money soon. But now will not pay me $5999.23 that I am owed. What they are doing is hurting my business because I don't have that money to re-buy inventory. It has been 7 weeks now. I'm pretty sure what they are doing is illegal.Review fromBlake T

They steadily, sneakily increased the price of my subscription to over $600 and refused to cancel. Definitely a crooked business; taking it up with my credit card issuer rather than Wix due to nonexistent customer service. Look elsewhere for help with your websites!Review fromNick C

I haven't been this offended in a long time. I am a long term customer of **********************, because it's just so easy for some of my clients. So I host a bunch of sites with them, and as I was reconciling some bills I noticed for 1 account instead of the typical $168 per year, they charged me $348. So clearly there must be some billing error. So I contact WIX and after 1 hour or waiting and/or being transferred, short version of the story... they discontinued that plan, sent a notification and upgraded me without my permission. I told them I need a refund, I was then told I had 14 days to cancel it and they cant do anything for me. After explaining how wrong this is and asking again for a refund, I was told they need to escalate and get me to another person who can do it. Basically, kick the can down the road so I can waste more of my time, go over all the info and probably get the same result. So my options now... wait and hopefully someone gets back to me... or do a chargeback. Regardless, I'm moving all my clients OFF the WIX platform.Review fromJonathan F

Ive used Wix for years, and while it started as a decent website builder, the cost has skyrocketed, and their customer service has gone downhill. The platform is still easy to use, but the pricing is now outrageously high compared to competitors. And if youre unhappy? Too badWix wont give you a refund, even if the service doesnt meet your expectations.Over time, Ive also noticed increasing limitations, sluggish performance, and a lack of real improvements to justify the price hikes. Customer support is unhelpful, especially regarding billing issues. It feels like they care more about locking users in than actually providing value. If youre considering Wix, be warned: its expensive, inflexible, and not customer-friendly. There are better and more affordable options out there!Review fromChase R

I am extremely dissatisfied with Wix and their handling of payments through Wix Payments. As a business owner, I rely on timely disbursement of funds to operate efficiently. Wix claims that their payment verification process takes "up to 7 business days," yet I have been waiting for over two weeks with no resolution. I have provided all requested information and met every requirement, yet my funds are still being withheld without justification.Whats worse is the lack of communication and transparency from Wix support. I have reached out multiple times with minimal response, and no clear answers have been provided. This is not just a delay it is a serious disruption to my business, and it is completely unacceptable.Withholding client payments beyond a clearly stated timeline without cause is, in my opinion, unethical and possibly illegal. If this matter is not resolved immediately, I will be escalating the situation through regulatory complaints (including the ****), legal channels, and by warning other small business owners to think twice before trusting Wix with their payments.I expected more from a company of this size and reputation. This experience has damaged my trust completely.Review fromAyca A

Wix will continue to charge you for services even after you cancel. I used to be a Wix customer. Each year that my subscription was being auto-renewed, Wix would send me an email a month prior, warning that they were about to renew my account for the following year. When I cancelled my Wix subscription service in 2022, they continued to bill me in secret, without those "head up" emails, for three years. I've lost nearly $800 by the time I figured out they were doing this. They refuse to explain how this happened and will not refund me a *****. They are a scam company and you should use *********** or any other service other than them. Just ****** it, they are scamming people every day.Review fromJennifer W

Ive been using WIX platform for probably about 4 years. If you wouldve asked me 4 years ago, what I thought I wouldve told you ;its excellent. That time to maintain a site was $246 . And of course theres a domain renewal that I pay about 18 bucks for. Fine no problem. All I ever got was compliments on my website and how easy it was to navigate.Fast-forward 4 years later, & now theyre not giving me an option of which plan I want to choose. I am just gonna be forced to pay $348 a year. Wow my price went up 50% in four years? I bet youre wondering :well I bet they are having some really cool new features and thats what explains the price. HA!Nope!!!For starters, the amount of spam that gets through is incredible. half of my inquiries are garbage. 2., one of the best features was ability to manipulate /build the site/ amend your site right there from your phone -cant do that anymore. after raising my price at least $25-$40 every year now they want me to pay more for less options? interesting business model. Hey guys, Im busy. I dont have time to run back to my desktop, open it up and hope your site is working @Saves my changes. .So not sure why my price keeps going up a good $30-$50 each year if this is the case.3,, so many convoluted apps none of them make any sense. At last count theres 3 apps, none of which allow you to edit your website. So exactly what are these apps supposed to be for?4-, even though Im being charged upwards of $400 a year now, I have no option to talk to a real person . Huh???I mean, I pay $200 a year for prime, I get all kinds of stuff/service/apps with them and within three minutes if I want, I can speak to a person who will actually help me .You know, Ill be starting another business here this year . several months ago I wouldnt have thought twice about continuing to use WIX to develop that website. Unfortunately, I think were at a point now where Ill definitely be going elsewhere.Review fromDiane D

It USED to be a good company but no longer. I was on annual auto-renewal they sent me no notice of renewal. No invoice after renewal. I received a fraud alert from bank the day it went thru and though their site says you have 14 days after payment to cancel. There was no where online to do so. Went thru every step on their customer care site and none of what they told me to click was ever where they showed it should be. It is impossible to talk to a person. They have no customer care number except one that states to go to website. AND why does the BBB accredidation show an A+???? Do I have to give them 1 star?Review fromKristen D

Wix made me think I had to purchase a domain. I did not. When I wanted to reverse my purchase minutes later, they made it nearly impossible to reach an actual person (not an AI bot). I reached out in multiple ways and on many occasions---and received either no help or no response at all. When I finally got in touch with a person, they told me my purchase was nonrefundable, which was never made clear at the time of purchase. I found the business practices (lack of clarity around what I was being told to purchase, difficulty finding clearly stated refund policies, and customer service help) to be highly deceptive. I would not recommend this company to anyone.Review fromAbdul M

They have taken money from my account without my knowledge. I have never used their services and I have earned any *****. I purchased for one time, but I didn't know they have taken money form my credit card without my knowledge and wish. It looks like scam. They turned on auto renew by themselves. Now they not refunding my money. They didn't have to charge my at all. Or after two years they had to charge me first getting my approval. but they didn't that.2nd thing that they charged me more than double price.
