WIX IS A SCAM FOR CHARGING CUSTOMERS WITHOUT NOTICE and then REFUSING REFUNDS. Firstly, they raised annual premiums OVER ONE HUNDRED PERCENT. The plan I had went from $ 168 to $ 348, a 107% INCREASE. Secondly, they charged me the $348 renewal fee on Sept. 28th, using an old credit card number, when the current subscription only ends October 17, 2025. When I tried to cancel it, they stated that because its already paid, I can't be refunded, which is absurd and ILLEGAL in *****************, so do not accept this extortion. They are based in ********, EXTREMELY dishonest, difficult, and aggressive in their business tactics. They try everything trick in the book to avoid giving refunds to customers who wish to cancel. As a small business consultant I have had numerous clients use Wix and all of them are now leaving Wix as a direct result of my experience. Please also note that Wix have not answered EVEN ONE of the reviews left on the BBB site, as they have no defense for their tactics. DO NOT USE WIX. File a dispute with your credit card company. File a complaint with the ************************************, your state attorney general's office, and the ***. Wix needs to be stopped, and only by taking a few minutes to publish what they are doing, and filing complaints with the proper state, federal and consumer agencies can we help others to avoid this fate, AND get our legally-due refunds.

Wix.com is one of the most dishonest, predatory companies I have ever dealt with. Their billing practices are downright unfair, and their entire system seems designed to trap customers and squeeze money out of them with no accountability.First, there is no direct way to contact Wix support unless you are logged into the website you created through them. That means if youve lost access to those credentials, or if the site is no longer active, you have absolutely no way to reach them. They hide behind this system so customers cannot get help, cannot cancel services, and cannot even ask questions.Second, Wix forces you to pay a full year in advance for services, even if you immediately try to cancel. They refuse to refund you for unused serviceseven if you cancel the very same day the charge posts. This is money for services they have not provided and will never provide, yet they unapologetically keep it. That is not just bad customer service; it is unethical. When I finally managed to reach them (after jumping through hoops), they flat-out refused to issue a refund. Their policy is clear: once they have your money, they will not return it. They rely on the fact that most customers wont fight back and will just give up.A company that makes itself deliberately unreachable, traps customers into auto-renewals, bills for a full year upfront, and then refuses refunds when you dont use the service is not just untrustworthy it is abusive. Wix should not be allowed to operate this way. I urge anyone considering Wix to stay far away. They are a horrible company with predatory billing practices, zero accountability, and absolutely no respect for their customers.

Consumers, beware of selecting Wix for your website development services. Their customer support can only be accessed through email, and once theyve got your credit card, cancelling a subscription and getting appropriate refunds is next to impossible. Also, if you loose access due to inactivity and not setting up 2factor authentication, you are in a bind as you will not be able to get in until .? I have been trying for four months to gain back access to my account unsuccessfully. Virtually no access to customer support, service, help or assistance. Disappointing is an understatement.

Asked for a refund on an email connected to a domain name already transferred out of WIX. This was an automatic renewal, but the reminder email subject line was "Updates to account" not automatic renewal. I canceled the automatic renewal and asked for a refund via chat with a person. The date of start is over two weeks in the future, and still they said I could not have a refund, that it is against policy. So to recap, I already removed all products (I thought) from WIX four months ago. I didn't see there was an email account I was paying for. Two weeks ago, I received an email with the subject line, "Updates to account," which I didn't open. It was actually the renewal email, instead. I was billed 30 days before the product renewal, and contacted a customer *** twenty days before the product service starts, and was told I could not have a refund. And **** told me that everyone who could give me a refund worked "offline." I asked to speak to someone over the phone about it and he said they wouldn't be able to help me and refused my request for a callback. 1. Misleading email line for an auto-renewal.2. Refusal to refund a product that starts over 20 days in the future.3. Refusal for adequate customer service. This might be illegal after the Sept 2, 2025 autorenewal law.

Bad business practices!! Been there yrs, suddenly they start emailing me constantly about issues ... issues that require one of their "recommended experts". Currently holding my domain hostage, refusing to provide proper transfer instructions while sending me to "expert" that wants $400 just to give those proper instructions not to physically do it him/herself. A new domain (NOT WITH WIX) is less than $50 why would I pay $400 for instructions?. There is no support because everything sent to support comes back saying user needs to contact "insert recommended expert name here". Last time I used their expert I ended up over $700 in fees and he didn't even fix issues. He wanted to add a landing page and change the design and I had to have a logo. Landing page was left with repeating phrases; there was very little design change and ultimately, I had to go back in and fix the problems he left.

VERY SHADY! I had a paid business WIX.com account since ********************* $149 per year. At the time, I put everything on autorenewal. However, I was never told they would keep increasing the price without ANY call or paper notification. They emailed me (which went to my spam) and said by not responding that is an agreement to saying yes. In 2018 they increased the price to $168, but on September 2024 they more doubled the price to $348 without any consent by me. No phone call, no text message, no paper notification, only an email that went to my spam folder. This seems like a VERY shady way to conduct business and I hope someone has the ability to sue them for this so they are forced to change their shady business dealings. I even called them on the same day (September 1) that it hit my account to get them to reverse the charge. They refused and said I should have checked my spam email folder, sorry.

We have been a Wix.com user since 2011. I run a small nonprofit organization that is entirely volunteer-run and dedicated to assisting ********** families with their pets. Recently, we encountered our first issue with Wix.com, and I am quite disappointed. I had noted in our calendar that our renewal was not due until September 13, which meant we were paid up until that date. However, our renewal unexpectedly took place on August 30 for a two-year pricing plan costing $624.00, an amount we cannot afford. Unfortunately, there is no phone number to speak to someone directly, so all I could do was use the chat feature. I have chatted with three different representatives, all of whom told me that there was nothing that could be done. I requested a refund so that we could renew at the monthly rate instead, as that would be more affordable for us during this time. The representatives showed a lack of compassion and refused to help, stating that an email was sent a month prior, which we missed among the hundreds of promotional emails they send. While I acknowledge that it was my mistake for not seeing it, it was still before our renewal date, and we felt dismissed. Due to this experience, we will no longer use Wix in the future. I can dispute this matter with our bank instead.

This place is a SCAM!! Do not use this company. They lock you in and make it IMPOSSIBLE to cancel your subscription and then when you find a way to cancel it they make you pay them full price for no service. This should be a class action law suit against this company. There is no way to call them or contact them to cancel then they just keep taking money from you for years.

Wix.com is engaged in deceptive business practices! They do not make canceling your subscription easy and refuse to do it over the phone when you call. Do not use Wix!
