    This company overcharged me for hundreds of dollars because of a system glitch. I had tried them, but then deactivated my account with them. The company will then email out deals to you to try to get you to come back. First was 50 percent off, then it jumped to 70 percent during a holiday. I accepted an offer for 70 percent off. Apparently the offer was over when I was confirming my next order with them, but it was still showing a discounted price when I confirmed my selections. It showed a cost of about $122 total, but then I was billed for almost $400. When I reported this error and told them I wanted to cancel and a refund for the error, they were unhelpful and refused to acknowledge their mistake. Be very careful when confirming your orders with them, they will not correct any mistakes and will try to blame you for using their service. I never would've agreed to a $376.55 bill with them. I feel robbed.

    Not only did the food look terrible, it was terrible. Our dogs got most of it. The meals arrived wet from the ice packs leaking. Then when I tried to cancel my second order, having learned how bad the food was, they said they had a "no cancellation" policy that I'd agreed to by clicking one of those "agree" buttons at the end of a long list of conditions and policies. I had to fight and fight and threaten in order to cancel and get a refund. I believe I only received the refund after I told them I'd spoken to my credit card company and that they had agreed to cancel the charge once it was posted. My card company also noted that the charge went through as I was trying to cancel the order and suggested that I block CookUnity from using my card. This company really does feel like a scam.

    This company does not have good customer service. They will not give you your money back only a "credit" on your account. The meal seal that they have has not been fixed. I gave them a second chance after trying them out last year 2023 and I got burned again. Please save your ******************'t fall for the coupons that they offer you and avoid this company. I really don't recommend purchasing meals from this company.

    I purchased a $200 gift card for my friend who just experienced the sudden death of her husband. I thought that it would help her so that she would not have to shop and cook while grieving. My friend told me that she was unable to order meals against the gift card without providing HER credit card information. I assumed this was a mistake and contacted Cook Unity customer service. The rep confirmed that they do indeed require her credit card information in the event that her order exceeds the amount of the gift card. This is not a valid reason because it's standard practice for ecommerce sites to track purchases against gift cards and not allow purchases in excess of the gift card amount. I was told that gift card purchases are non refundable and that I could use the card or give it to someone else. I bought the card for the specific reason and circumstances that my friend was going through and not for my own use. I am very skeptical of this company's practices after receiving that explanation.

    This company has terrible customer service. They make it difficult to cancel your subscription with many pop *** and only offers a credit if you cancel. I told the company that I did not want to place the order that went through and I would like to be refunded. They only gave me a store credit. This is minutes after the charge. This is thievery. They only continued to send me their terms and conditions as if this justified them stealing my money after me telling them that I did not place a second order. They have no customer service phone number and only texts or emails you back. I do not recommend this company. There are many other food prep services that has integrity and cares about their customers. This is not it. Dont use them.

    I received a week's worth of pre-made meals on my front door step this week. I know NOTHING about this company and did not sign up with them. They have information about me that I did not give them, and are saying that they are charging my account. I chose not to click on any links or pursue "cancelling" anything with them. At this time I do not believe that I have been charged. At this point , they say that they have cancelled my subscription. I don't know who they are and I will not be eating the *********** very suspicious.

    Food was meh but expensive. Then they charged me $200 for some 'credits' without confirming with me and refused to refund it. SCAMMERS. Beware.

    As reviewer, **************, also stated - this company charged my credit card without a subscription or order. Not sure how they obtained my info. Interesting enough, I had already reported the suspicious charge to my credit card company on 3/15/2024. They charged my newly replaced card (that I haven't even received yet) so I called as I had previously had other fraudulent charges on this same account (likely tied to **** payment per credit card representative's feedback). So today, 3/19/2034, I received two text msgs from this company stating my order is on its way and then that it had been delivered. I thought these were scam texts since they had links and I didn't recognize the CookUnity name (despite recently reporting them). When I walked up to my front door there was a delivery pkg from them with a delivery slip with meals listed - MEALS THAT I DIDN'T ORDER! I did not sign up for any subscription service from this company and even reviewed all my online activity for past month on social media, ******* and ******* and this company did not come up once. So somehow they received my info and are processing charges for food deliveries that I didn't order nor will eat. I did call the listed number online for company but this isn't a valid number. Thankfully my credit card company is not allowing these suspicious charges. Hoping it will be easily resolved. If it is I will provide an update.

    This company uses deceptive tactics to order ****** from them. Received a flyer to get meals at 40%. I order 8 meals . Received the first meals okay. Then I started receiving multiple meals at least three boxes the next week. I called to cancel but phone number wasn't active. I canceled everything on website and emailed them. Meals kept arriving and because I called my bank after finding out they were taking automatic payments from my PayPal account. Now my Pay Pal account is not working because of this. This company owes me over $550.00

    Cancelling my subscription was an ordeal and not yet confirmed - a horrible process!They refer you to a website that doesnt provide access. While the food was good, the costs were high and cancelling was frustrating. I still dont know if Ive successfully cancelled.
