    We have had a horrible experience. They started us up on a meal plan. We were on a plan that was paid for on Saturday, delivered on the following Thursday. First set of meals came, they were really good. But before the following week was delivered, on Tuesday, the ones we had smelled and tasted off with some packages visibly swollen. I then noticed that those had an expiration date that had passed a few days before.?? So, we decided that it was more our own fault to expect that a weekly meal delivery service each meal would survive the week, and we should have looked for expiration dates. We decided most meals were amenable to freezing in the ensuing week to help them to last the week. That went well for a couple of weeks. This week, we were charged on Saturday, as per plan for next Thursday's delivery. Got an email early Monday morning that a new option for Sunday delivery was coming to our area. Paid it little attention, as we were set with our plan. Today, Tuesday, they attempted to charge our card for a delivery for Sunday, an unplanned date, so they randomly picked meals for it. **************** was absolutely no help, saying we should have understood that the email meant they were changing our plan. We canceled the service, which was no easy feat.

    I am a retired former teacher with serious health issues. After seeing the advertisement of the food company online, I selected and ordered 8 meals and I paid the cost using the same credit card. After about a week the company dropped the food at my door. The taste of the food was terrible and had to throw away the entire food.

    I placed my first order to be delivered on August 3rd, 2025. The system's recommended first delivery date is August 7th, 2025 but I went with my selection anyway. My first order arrived as expected on August 3rd. CookUnity then processed another order to be delivered on August 7th despite me not selecting it, essentially overriding my selection without my consent. **************** was utterly helpless and couldn't and wasn't willing to offer any type of resolution. Saying "We're sorry for the inconvenience and confusion" only goes so far. Even the representative himself admitted it was confusing.

    I cancelled my order for this week and the week before since I will not be home to take delivery of the food. I noticed a charge on my account an hour ago for the meal plan that I skipped. I have been on a chat box with ******* ******** for about 20+ min now trying to reverse and cancel the order I had skipped and I have gotten nowhere with our interaction. So far just a lot of pushing blame onto me vs doing what is right and helping the customer. I am highly disappointed with the service and now am considering a full cancelation of my meal plan.

    I had placed an order with cook unity. When they charged me I noticed the address was incorrect. I contacted support to and they didn't care. Of course I never received the order. They refused to refund me despite knowing I paid for nothing but said they could donate my order to someone else. Like is this an actual business practice? I want my refund or I'll have no choice but to move forward with a small claims court hearing. Account email is ******************

    I am filing a complaint against CookUnity for what I believe is a deceptive and unfair business practice related to their subscription and refund policy.I believed my CookUnity account was frozen or inactive, but I was unexpectedly charged for a meal I did not select or authorize. The meal included random items I never ordered. The user interface for canceling or freezing the subscription is unclear, and at no point was I alerted that my account would be reactivated or charged.The moment I saw the charge on my credit card, I contacted CookUnity to request a refund. Despite reaching out immediately, I was told they could not refund my money only apply credit to my CookUnity account. This is not acceptable to me, as I have no intention of continuing service with them and do not want to be locked into using credit for a service I do not trust or want.Additionally, the company has no accessible phone number to speak with a real human. All communication is via email or chat, making it even harder to get timely support.CookUnity eventually agreed to cancel the shipment and stop the order which means they clearly could have reversed the charge yet they still refused to issue a refund. This feels like a predatory tactic: make cancellation difficult, auto-charge users, and then refuse to return money even when service is not delivered.I am requesting a full refund to my original payment method, not a credit I didnt ask for.This experience has made me feel misled and taken advantage of. I hope the BBB can help hold CookUnity accountable for these practices.

    Date of transaction: 6/9/25 Amount of transaction: $43.28 Product to be provided: 4 meals Nautre of dispute: The company is lying and ****** told me a couple of times my meals had shipped and assured me my account had been cancelled for any further meals. I called *** and they told me they do not have the product yet and asked me to check back on Thursday, 6/12/25. I get another email from ****** changing the story again that the meals haven't been shipped. I advised them to cancel everything, refund my money and don't ship anything. I see a lot of others on their website stating their food is being delivered to incorrect address and when they try to contact Cook Unity they are not doing anything about this. I was posting on their ******** page and they blocked me from doing so. The business has done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in trying to resolve this! Ignoring my request to cancel & refund and then LYING saying it has been. I advised I will dispute the charge but I am getting ignored. I am contacting my bank to let them know this company is scamming people and sends orders to wrong addresses.

    I used to get food delivered from cookunity but back in January I no longer wanted it. I deactivated my account and since since then i have received 3 orders. One in January that i was forced to keep and pay for, one in March that i had to pay for and yesterday. Yesterday O was home and sent it back to them but they are saying I cant get a refund. I have not placed an actual order since ********************************************** January and March. I receive emails from them all the time so I did not pay attention to the emails saying my meals were coming yesterday. On Friday when i received an email saying my order was placed. Not shipped but just placed, I immediately emailed them to cancel it. No one returned my email so I emailed Friday night and threatened to call my bank. They emailed me back on Saturday the 24th saying it was too late. When the food was arriving yesterday 5/27 i sent it back to sender. In emailed from CookUnity last night they said that they were not refunding me. In my customer service chats from January and March i expressed wanting to end my account. Each time they said it was deactivated. Now theyre saying it was delayed. You can see that i reached out to them twice saying I no longer wanted the food so not sure why they would send again. I have had to get a new debit card as of yesterday so that they stop charging me. Its crazy.

    My card was charged with an order I did not place. I tried contacting the company immediately and my only options was a chat bot and email. I have not had a response after several days and I have followed up daily. They will not answer a phone call and do not send responses to your chat complaints or emails.
