The following describes a pending government action that has been formally brought by a government agency but has not yet been resolved. We are providing a summary of the governments allegations, which have not yet been proven.
On December 21, 2018, the Attorney General for the State of Minnesota filed a lawsuit against Comcast Corporation and its subsidiary Xfinity. The lawsuit alleges that the business is in violation of Minnesota’s Consumer Fraud Act and Uniform Deceptive Trade Practices Act. Specifically, the complaint claims that Comcast has overcharged consumers, charged consumers for unordered products, and failed to deliver promotional Visa gift cards promised in exchange for signing up. The matter is pending.
