  Repeatedly called me ***** times in one day, little minutes or seconds after each other. Left 4-5 messages in one day to confirm my appointment which I never set and didnt ask for. When o told them I didnt have an appointment they asked me to set one. When I told them to take me off their list they called literally 2 seconds later again. I blocked all numbers they were calling from.

  I would like to say that after six months of solar production, I'm EXTREMELY happy with my solar installation and Momentum. I received *******************, a stellar installation, a great price, and easy financing. As I mentioned, for the BEST experience, PLEASE do your homework and learn about solar. Specifically, what it can and can't do, the many parameters unique to each installation, and how much you're currently paying. It's been 1 year since signing, and my electricity provider has increased their rates 4 times during that period making my Momentum purchase a no-brainer. Trust me, electricity rates will only go up, but the fixed energy cost from your solar panels will not!

  ******** Trying to get my solar up and running has been a monumental nightmare. The panels were installed in August 222, with a completion at the end of January this year. Today, 16 March, was the inspection from the city, and to no one's surprise, the check failed. I am going to spare the company the details. So after almost seven months, the system still needs to be operational. Momentum Solar gives new meaning to "******** Law."Regarding business practices, it should be in the graveyard of "how not to operate a business." And believe me, I am being very kind to Momentum Solar. A few reasons individuals within the company did genuinely attempt to assist me as I encountered obstacle after obstacle.

  I made two mistakes:I purchased a system from Momentum and decided to work as a salesman representing the company. The installation of the system was arduous. Customer service horrible. Dozens of calls for 6 months to correct errors and demand promises kept etc. in the end Momentum did not live up to promises made. I know because I was selling systems based on these promises. Multiple employees I worked with from various disciplines are aware of the lack of professionalism and honesty and are fleeing the company. Customers I sold systems to continue to call me with issues months after I left the company. Do not under any circumstances deal with this organization.

  Even in the midst of a downpour, the installation crew was successful and comprehensive with our solar power system yesterday. They were both efficient and polite throughout the job, providing me with an inside look at how it all worked. I highly recommend having solar panels installed through them.

  I started a journey with them back in July of 2022 called and emailed to get updates after all my permits were done in November 4th and got told I would get an installation date in 2 to 4 weeks. I tried to call again and never got a response in December about what was talking so long. I sent an email got no response. When i finally said I was canceling at the end of January they magically said they had a installation date for February 20th. And now they are wanting to *** me for things they had to do. I have heard other companies getting the same job finished in 3 months or less. I would seriously stay away from this place there is a reason it has such a low score. I would give zero stars if I could.

  Momentum Solar through home solicitation sold a 10k watt whole house solar system to my parents, ages 90 and 92. Several problems occurred with this sale indicating deceptive selling practices.
  1. They were told they had to finance the system, but they did not understand the terms of the loan, interest rate, etc. The loan is for $57,933 with a $208 monthly payment, meaning the loan will be impossible to ever pay off with only the monthly payment. They did not understand the lump sum payments required to keep the monthly payments flat.
  2. They were told they qualify for a tax rebate equal to 26% of the cost of the system. With their retired status and fixed income, it is doubtful they qualify. If they do, it will take several years to collect due to their low tax liability.
  3. They understood that they will no longer have a power bill from ************ ******** ********* (***), which is false as the system does not cover the metering fee and is only set up to cover 80% of use.
  4. The system, at 10k watts is oversized for their needs with only two people in a 1550 square foot house. The 20% buyback rate used by *** means selling back extra power will not erase the monthly bill. They also have started paying for a system that was to be installed months ago, but it is not yet functional.
  This system was sold by using fear tactics of skyrocketing power costs to provide a fixed bill for power each month, but the terms of the contract, size of the loan, and size of the system are wrong for this consumer. The annual cost for power over the next 8 years will actually be higher than it is now, which is not what the consumer was told when they purchased the system. 'Free' power in 25 years as indicated by the salesman will not benefit this consumer.

  Our experience with Momentum was excellent. We have a 55 panel system installed late Spring 2021. Our system was designed to replace our electric costs (minus the small monthly fee) while remaining on the grid. With the addition of ****'s we realized savings of $30.00 monthly (prior to recent rate hikes) which was the estimated savings presented to us by the sales ******** are now saving much more than that due to those recent rate hikes. Great timing!! The service center was very helpful in assisting us with the setting up of ****S, a somewhat complex process. In the past 2 years we had service calls, one related to conduit and another regarding an overall solar outage. Both calls were handled promptly even though our home is several hours from the Momentum office. I have two suggestions for improvement - #1). The approach taken for our initial installation hit a snag when the installers determined they could not access the attic through the roof overhang. A hole was cut open before the installers realized they could not access the attic. They resorted to plan B by covering the hole and drilling up through the overhang and through the roof. It works well but there is an 'S' curve in the conduit and a patched hole under the overhang. I would suggest that the installers be sure they can access such areas before they start cutting holes and installing conduit. #2). The **** set up process is complicated. I received great help from the customer support rep but did not fully understand the manual process vs. an automated process using an additional meter which is not part of our system. In hind sight some of these choices could be made more clear to the customer. These two suggestions are rather minor compared to the overall excellent job done by the installers and the performance of the finished product. The solar panels produce as originally promised to us and has met out expectations.
