1 starFo the second time this week, Astound Broadband has had a significant internet service interruption in my area. We lost internet service at 8:00 am this morning and their best estimate is that service will be restored at midnight tonight. Repairing fiber is a very delicate and time intensive process, and our techs are working as safely and quickly as possible to restore service to all affected customers. ******************** were restored around 7pm Pacific Time last evening. 1 starI move from zip code ***** and turned my equipment in on August 6 to the business store in *****, Astound is still charging me for the entire month of August. Does not seem legal when they have all the equipment in hand. How can they charge when I have turn all the devices and equipment to the business. DO NOT get any internet or wifi from this company. 1 starAbsolute thieves. Avoid this cancerous company at all costs. Your bill will increase without any notice and they will cut service off even if you are setup with autopay. Refuse to give support email or let you speak to a supervisor. I will encourage all 400+ of my tenants to go with satellite if they can.Astound Broadband powered by RCN

1 starSince the Astound stuck its greedy fist into RCN service has been terrible! I have had multiple drops and at one point a full day of lost service that I never saw credit for. Literally what everyone here says, they increase pricing every other month, adding a dollar here and there until you look at a bill from a few months ago and you barely recognize it. Just called to ask for a reduction and after 20 min hold and an unsympathetic service rep, the call concluded with me terminating business with them. Luckily another service just got fiber at a fraction of the cost so **** it astound CYAAAAAAstound Broadband powered by RCN

1 starIts a scam:1: 20$ offer is actually 110$ after fees 2: "free unlimited mobile service" is actually 40$ a month and 20GB 3: esim transfer doesnt work, so now im stuck without a phone number and cant contact customer service 4: since i cant call customer service, my only option is the chatbot. The chat waitlist was an hour, and when an agent finally responded, we wasted 30 min going though security questions. They said let me look into it, then I got an automated message saying I havent responded (even though I wasnt prompted to respond), and now im at the back of the waitlist 5: the whole onboarding process takes days, and I still cant figure this outAstound Broadband powered by RCN

1 starHorrible service. Ripping people off raising their prices constantly within only months apart, then saying you still owe money after you already paid them early or on time. Excuses for outages. 1 star5X I have called billing to review my account. Each time, I am given a great low price. Within a month or two, the monthly *** goes up. No email/letter informing me of the increase. I document the cust service rep name, time, date, new rate, AND how long the 'locked in' monthly *** will last. Each time, I'm told the price is good for the dates they just gave me. 5X monthly *** increases. I call back to ask for Astound to make good of those guaranteed offers and refund me the higher *** I was charged. Nope. Either they have no notes from my calls and/or they can't control the increases/promotions and I can't talk to no one else but that person. "We cannot accommodate your old agreement." Every time, the same script is read to me. Why can't my pricing stay as agreed?!! And the speed is not consistent. And no one can tell me what G I am paying for. Its not on my online act or on my printed stmt. I wrote down years ago that I had Ter 4 but no one can tell me who knows. Astound is a lousy company!! I rate them F-. Absolutely no stars. (look at each of these BBB complaints, Astound's reply is exactly the same for each issue!)Astound Broadband powered by RCN

1 starAstound is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. Up charged me to the fastest speeds without telling me, ask to decrease speed to pay less and they said if I wanted to increase it again it would cost double as they would not honor the promotion I was given (without my knowledge). Spoke on the phone and said I would get a call back from a supervisor and it took a week before I heard anything. Then, when I spoke to the supervisor they said they couldn't do anything about the scam. I am very happy to see a 1.13 rating on here but it should really be 0. If you wrong a customer you should be doing everything in your power to keep them/right your wrong and I did not feel that at all. What they do is highly illegal and I hope the BBB takes some action.Astound Broadband powered by RCN

1 starThe service has been getting worse and worse. They have increased my bill by $20 every other month since last summer. Everyone in my neighborhood is charged a different amount for the same service! I called to get my bill reduced and they went back to what I was paying a month ago -- which was a 75% increase from last summer! I got a different provider today and when I called Astound to cancel they told me they can't shut my service down for a month so I have to pay for a month when I am not using the service. That they are no longer offering "prorated service," meaning this is a policy choice of theirs to steal my money.
