Paid for a warranty for 18 months to be denied coverage due to a previous repair that was never entertained or brought up till I needed the repair done. They think its cool to just refund the money because the repair was too much? Unbelievable It's why I relied on their false advertising peace of mind.No peace of mind with CarShield.Nightmare and my $20,000 truck parked

I have been trying to stop their robo calls. They call me multiple times a day using different numbers. I know it is them because I received a paper offer in the mail for a 2017 **** Escape. I have never owned a **** Escape. One of the robo callers mentioned my **** Escape so I know it is CarShield. I asked this caller to stop calling me. These calls have been going on since I purchased my new car back in July 2023 - 6 months! I cant block the number because they keep using random numbers from my area code. STOP! This is harassment! I am not and never will be interested.

Scam. Misleading advertisement. I was told everything under the hood will be covered, you'll only pay $100 out of pocket deductible. LIES. When my car was in the shop everything was deemed wear and tear. NOT covered. They were slow to respond to the manager of the garage. To say what would be covered. They ended up paying $500. I paid $1,000. Then I was told 3 times the rental car I needed while the car was in the shop would be covered, I received an email saying none of the $664.50 would be covered because the work on the car was under 4 hours. No matter that my car was in the shop 1 1/2 weeks. Now that's some fakery if I ever heard it. So why aren't they being penalized for this practice... please pass this on. Let's put them out of business. I gave them a 1 because there is no zero ro select.

I have been paying ***** each month faithfully. I needed to service my car because the front two axles needed repair. I got a quote for ******** for replace C.V. Joints for both the left and right side. This included labor and parts but not like the commercial advertises, like take it were you want and save thousands on repairs. They were giving the technician issues with a million questions and then they did not want to pay the quote amount and told him to negotiate the price with the vendor for the parts at a fraction of what they said they would pay and the hourly labor too. They only wanted to pay half of the quote, so this means that they false advertise about saving money because I pay my dues, pay my deductible and still have to pay out of pocket. I do not know what world this company lives in but the amount they said the parts should cost, not even Discount Auto Parts sells parts that cheap. If I would just open a account for car *********************** that put the monthly dues from CarShield, I would have had for three thousands saved and would just had pay for that repair and also the repair for changing the struts which I cant afford right now. I am going to seek legal advice and suggest a class action suit or write to all media outlets to at least expose their true colors.

They didn't honor my policy meaning that they have ************ vehicle and they only cover your vehicle according to those tiers. The customer gets screwed while they get money monthly. I cancelled them and went to Endurance and got the same treatment. It's bogus, a scam and fraud.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. CarShield as well as ******************** are more willing to work with any ASE certified mechanic. It is up to the shop to decide if they want to honor coverage on your behalf. If the shop chooses not to honor your coverage we can not force them. We do have a specific department that is happy to help find you a shop. If this is something you would find helpful please call customer ********************** at ************.Customer Relations.

Your company is an absolute ripe off. I followed the contract rules and according to communications your adjustor had with the mechanic shop which again was within the contract rules to use them, all the parts that needed to be replaced were to be covered. After multiple times of your company saying you didnt it receive the paperwork from the repair shop in which it was emailed and faxed multiple times just to delay approving the claim you finally made a decision to deny because your adjustor who is no *****************, I assume since you wouldnt respond to that question when asked, and which is why you require it to be bought to an approved shop, came back and said its in there opinion that its a pre-existing condition. This was a newly purchased vehicle and proved that by sending over that paperwork that you asked for and per the contract it was past the number of days and miles needed for the policy to be active and now since there was an issue you are saying it wasnt long enough past the date. Over ***** miles were put on the vehicle and per the contract only require 500 miles. BIG SCAMReally should be no stars.

i consider Carshield a major scam company. After paying premiums of $89 a month for over two years I contacted Carshield about an incident that should have been covered by my policy .I followed the procedures in my contract. my car was delivered to local local ****** dealer who refused to repairs necessary and due to the fact this dealer was still trying to collect monies for services rendered would not to the repairs. I then went to two other repair shops to complete the repairs and both would not do repairs associated with Carshield. i contacted Carshield and was told I would have to arrange my car to a dealer in the Chicago suburbs. It would have cost me over $650 to the car delivered. I immediately cancelled my contract with Carshield and paid for the repairs locally. Be aware of this companies tactics.

had a similar experience and dumped them after they screwed me. wish I had seen your article before i purchased a policy and i would have not signed up at all. I live in ******, I have 1 vehicle and it's winter. I lost my right front drive on my 4 wheel drive dodge ram p.u. and it took out everything including bearings and rotor, cv joint assembly. I had the car towed to my garage of choice, which was certified per car shield standards. the garage went to work and picked up the repair parts at the local auto zone and I was back on the road a day later. then began the nightmare. the bill was submitted to car shield and immediately they denied a portion of the cost of the repair parts because they could have supplied them cheaper by mailing them to ****** which could have taken weeks. they denied a portion of the labor charges, because the cost exceeded what was in their lower 48 lower labor cost book. they only approved 700 dollars of my 1400$ repair bill. and to top it off they only approved 125 dollars of 140 dollar tow bill. that's their **** I'm glad I only live 15 miles from the garage. I've broken down before 100 miles from home during the winter in another vehicle and the tow bill was 700$. I recommend you skip car shield and set aside what they would charge you for coverage in a separate account each month and be your own insurance. they offer no value unless you enjoy getting the shaft with bad service and poor policy that doesn't match their advertising! it's a scam!
