1 starcarsheild is a complete ripoff. bad head gasket, you have to pay the mechanic first to see if it is the head gasket. this can cost over 1k to determine. they can still deny the claim. stay far away from this companyReview fromReginald m

5 starsI have used CarShield for 2 issues on our 2016 Silverado and both times they paid and paid the dealership in a timely manner. I have read reviews here and on other sites that they don't pay and slow to pay the repair facility. I have not found that to be true in our case. We traded the truck in on another vehicle and I went with CarShield again for coverage.

1 starIt is not worth it. Due to my car breaking down they denied the saying it was my fault. I called roadside service 2different times and no answer. My car broke down on the turnpike I paid to have my car towed sent it to a mechanic they determined the motor had to be replaced. My car had set at a airport parking lot in zero temperature and when it warmed up is when it died. Car shield said due to the water leak and me driving it hot with the cause of the motor and they would not cover it that is with the Platinum plan that I was on so no I would not recommend car show for anyoneCarShield

1 starI wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing this useless warranty with car shield. I had it for about four months and I went to file a claim because I needed some AC work done, after going to three different repair shops that denied me because they did not accept course your warranty because they said they like to use aftermarket parts, they make it extremely hard to receive payments on the claims, and I was told this through different times, and I finally found someone that would accept it, once I finally filed the claim they denied it. Do yourself a favor and just save your own money because the money that I have wasted paying for this warranty for four months, I couldve used and put towards my own repairs.CarShield

2 starsNo mechanic I encountered wanted to work with CarShield. They say the Company takes their sweet time paying the mechanic, furthermore, CarShield insists on providing all needed parts for repair which often are inferior and/or used parts and they do not arrive same day, making the customer wait at least a few days whereas in most cases the mechanic is able to get needed parts immediately. CarShield would not reimburse us for the money we paid to the mechanic to repair our car so we ended our contract with no money in return. We will NEVER use CarShield again and do not recommend then..!!!CarShield

1 starCar shield refuses to stop Spam emails even after I requested to be removed from email list several times. Also, subscribing and blocking does not work. I have spoken with supervisor **** twice and she assured me that she would have my email removed. Most recently on Wednesday January 31, ****. I was told to allow 24 hours. Well, today is Friday February 2, and I'm still getting the annoying soliciting emails. It has been going on for well over a month. HELP!!CarShield

1 starWe purchased Car Shield contract on 02/22/2022 for our 2012 **** F350 Diesel Pickup. Cost of it was $109.99 per month. We had to take it to the service shop because the DEF light came on, The mechanic found that the *** Cooler Core, *** Valve, EGE Cooler Bypass needed to be replaced! This is a $6,266.68 Bill and Car Shield does NOT cover ANY OF IT! Why do they even sell contracts for Diesel Trucks if they do not cover one of the most important parts of the truck! It takes a mechanic to even diagnose the problem! If the light coms on, the owner can add DEF if needed, other than than, if the DEF is good, it has to go to mechanic! Needless to say I called and discontinued payments to CARSHIELD and Will never refer anyone to pay for a CarShield Contract! They do not even deserve the One Star in my opinion!CarShield

1 starThey tell you that they are the best warranty till you got to put in a clam and nothing is cover they just take your money and tell you all thing you want to hear tell you try to clam i have 2 truck with them and never could get anything covered so if you want to get warranty stay away from car shield also no shops want anything do with them i asked a shop about them they said if it ever cover truck have to stay here tell they pay the bill so who needs that s***CarShield
