    We purchased Car Shield contract on 02/22/2022 for our 2012 **** F350 Diesel Pickup. Cost of it was $109.99 per month. We had to take it to the service shop because the DEF light came on, The mechanic found that the *** Cooler Core, *** Valve, EGE Cooler Bypass needed to be replaced! This is a $6,266.68 Bill and Car Shield does NOT cover ANY OF IT! Why do they even sell contracts for Diesel Trucks if they do not cover one of the most important parts of the truck! It takes a mechanic to even diagnose the problem! If the light coms on, the owner can add DEF if needed, other than than, if the DEF is good, it has to go to mechanic! Needless to say I called and discontinued payments to CARSHIELD and Will never refer anyone to pay for a CarShield Contract! They do not even deserve the One Star in my opinion!

    They tell you that they are the best warranty till you got to put in a clam and nothing is cover they just take your money and tell you all thing you want to hear tell you try to clam i have 2 truck with them and never could get anything covered so if you want to get warranty stay away from car shield also no shops want anything do with them i asked a shop about them they said if it ever cover truck have to stay here tell they pay the bill so who needs that s***

    This company is like a bunch of crooks. They tell you what they want you to hear to get you to sign up with them and deny every possible claim. Beware, save your money and stay away from CarShield.

    Had our 2013 ****** Sentra towed to a mechanic on 12/12/23. Mechanic reached out to CarShield on 12/22/23 to open the claim. After speaking with the mechanic several times and he said he didnt know what was going on with our claim because they wanted photos of the odometer and vin number and he couldnt get the photos to upload, we called claims on 1/13/24. ****** said that my claim was denied due to the vehicle being an r-title and that there should have been a surcharge added when we opened my policy. Claims transferred me to customer ********************** where the representative reviewed the call from when we opened the policy and said that in the call there was no mention of the title or the surcharge and since we were not at fault it would have to go into further review to get the claim approved and get the ball moving to fix our car and someone would call us back. We waited a week and didnt get a call back so we called claims and was told that it was still under review. We waited another week and called claims again and was told the same and then we were transferred to customer ********************** again where the representative said that it was being escalated and someone would get back to us. I asked how long that would take because weve been without a vehicle for awhile and he said could take 24,48,72 hours. Its been another week and still no word. We Missed a lot of work due to this situation and its getting very frustrating.

    I have tried multiple times to activate an account with the app so I can cancel my policy and it's impossible!! I've been a client since March of 23 and never used it, lost my job recently I can no longer afford the policy.

    If I could put a negative star I would. This company is a complete joke. My truck broke down while I was out of town this past Saturday. Because it was Saturday afternoon I couldnt get a hold of anybody. Monday morning the auto repair shop I got the truck towed to doesnt except carsheild. The dealership told me I could call them with my estimate for reimbursement. I called and they told me they still want the shop to call them. The dealership says they dont do that. The vehicle is at a dealership out of town and I cant get it moved to another shop. ** ***** **** * ** ******* ******* *** ** ****** ** **** ***** ********* ** **** **** ****** *** ***** ** ** ***** *****

    I give this company a poor rating because I entered into a contract in August, 2022 with Car Shield for automobile repair service acquiring Platinum Automotive Repair Service on my 2006 Cadillac GTS. In July of 2023, I experienced mechanical failure; which was determined to be motor related. After *********************** (a reputable automotive repair company within my local area (*****, **)) diagnosed the motor to be non-functional, Car Shield refused to accept this diagnostic and subsequently had the car towed to Precision Automotive (*********, **) because all the local automotive shops in the area refused to complete any work under the Car Shield contract because of unsuccessful relationships and Car Shields tendency to avoid payment. Precision Automotive attempted to rebuild the motor but was unsuccessful as the car never started afterwards. In addition, Precision Automotive refused to do any additional work, December 1, 2023, because Car Shield advised they would only pay approximately $1000 towards any further cost of repairing the motor and as a customer I would be required to pay the balance. At this point, as a customer, I was only to pay a $200 deductible towards the car repair per my contract. As of January 14, **** Car Shield refused to replace the motor and thus I had the car towed home without the motor being intact.

    Didn't cover a repair for me because they said we should have checked all over to see who accepts them. We went to our Buick dealership and they would not send in paperwork because they've had issues with payments from Carshield. They gave us all the invoices and repair details and I called in spoke to representative and was told then to go ahead and send it in. Didn't hear anything back for almost a month. Called to followup and was informed they called to discuss but no one answered. What happened to email or writing. It was denied because of that and should have checked around to see who would take it and they send in the invoice etc. Then I was offered a lower price to stay with them. Why pay a cheaper price every month to get no service. Thus latest commercial proves they use stronghold tactics to get you to switch. Will not recommend them
