    If there was anyway I could rate Car Shield/American Auto Shield lower than 1 star I would. Car Shield/******************** has failed to uphold the terms of my vehicle protection plan. I purchased 2 vehicle service contracts from Car Shield on November 20, 2018 under contract MRF1150814. Not to mention I have never had a claim with them on my car in the 7 years i have been a client with Car Shield. All this time I was led to believe that the plan would cover major repairs and provide reliable customer support. However, my experience has been extremely. On Thursday 10/10/2025 I took my car to ****** Dealership for diagnostic testing which I paid out of my pocket. ****** informed me of their finding. I asked the *** of ****** did they take Car Shield his reply was yes. Despite following ALL required procedures Car Shield shifted a great deal of the charges to me.According to Car Shield, ****** was overcharging by so many hundreds of dollars. Which I felt if there was an issue it was for ****** & Car Shield to settle not push the overage to the consumer. Needless, to say Car Shield wanted to put used or refurbished parts on my car, they also wanted to ship the parts to ****** which was not acceptable by ******. I had no control over ****** ******************* as to how they regulate/receive their parts or cost charges for that matter. In the end Car Shield was very accusatory towards ****** which left me with no justice from Car Shield. Finally, I have canceled Car Shield effective 10/20/25. I spoke with agent ****** from Car Shield and it has been like pulling teeth to get them to send me something in writing about the cancelation. Not to mention they put on a facade about they don't want to loose such a loyal customer and the whole nine yards is pure b**s%^t.Car Shield needs to be investigated and a Class Action Lawsuit filed against them immediately.

    Hi, I was iffy about car shield and almost cancelled my contract because I read lots of negative reviews but a *** talked me back into their service and it turned out pretty good. I thought it was gonna be a major pain with my tundra 2010, it needed a transmission, it took about 2 months because my truck had other issues with a wire in reverse with one of the sensors in the engine, that threw a lot things off with codes, if it weren't for that it would have took a lot faster and that was at a very awesome dealership in ******** called reliable ******, they have a great *** and customer service was really helpful. ********************** helped me with the transmission and I was the third owner withthis truck. I had the silver package warranty. Carshield gave me a choice, either dealership orders the the transmission or carshield. It was lower in price from carshield. I just wish the towing had longer miles to tow to service.I recommend car shield and I hope this review settles some worrying.

    THE WORST COMPANY EVER!!! If I could leave no stars I would.Whatever you do stay away from these people. I have been paying for this warranty service for almost two years!! I needed a new radiator in my jeep in Jan 2025, carshield covered a portion of the bill when the machine heads was what I had to pay out of pocket for on top of deductible, after 2600 bucks later and 2 months of waiting I received my jeep back. Only to find that the leak that was discovered while the radiator was being fix was still going on. Carshield said that it was not an issue and refused to fix it cause my engine block to become cracked. Now any person can understand that seepage and leak are the SAME thing. These employees they have working in this business have ZERO CAR knowledge... HOW is it POSSIBLE?????? Fast forward I waited and KEEP arguing the fact that Carshield failed to help me when a REBUILT engine is in fact part of the contract. Here is my problem. Carshield refused to cover the cost of the crack engine when this issue has been present since JAN!!! I am now out 9300 for a new engine that WAS NOT SUPPOSE TO BE On my tab. When speaking to customer service they say someone will call you back but no one does. They want no responsibility in this situation at all. My contract will be canceled and I will be finding someone else.

    I've had car seal for 4 years now and every I've used them about six times and it's been anywhere from $500 to $3,000 to fix my car they paid every bit of it but $100 that they expect you to pay they paid for my rental cars every time if they didn't pay for it they reimbursed me even for a day they paid $125 in my tow bills which made me have to cut pay 40 but if you had it all up you might pay $150 but they paid $2000 I think they're great know how anybody could complain about them I've never had no hangups or bickering with them or anything have you used different mechanic as far as that goes and that still goes the same way thank you Miss ********

    I had Carshield for a few years, over time I kept running into repair shops that refused to accept the coverage by carshield due to their extensive process of proving a claim. After a few years of owing a policy, I decided to cancel. Now at least two years later after canceling I'm still getting calls and letters even though I've requested numerous times to be removed from their mail and call list. They always call from new random numbers so I sometimes end up answering their calls. To add insult to injury, I'm also transitioning and they're still using my old legal name which is causing and undue burden and psychological harm. I hope to be able to figure out to send Carshield a cease and desist letter because this is now well out of hand after receiving yet another letter in the mail today with my old legal name on it. Word of advice, avoid Carshield at all costs. It's not worth it. With what they charge per month that can be saved and pay for your own repairs. All I did was waste my money with Carshield and now have an endless headache of calls and letters.

    I give this Company Carshield an NO STARS, this Company I have been with at least 3 years. My Security remote that controls the locks on my truck for my tailgate, went out. It would cost about a *****, I was at the dealership, calling carshield, they told me that's NOT covered but I have the Best Coverage with them, they said. So I was VERY DISAPPOINTED, my truck is a 2020, at that time, I'm still paying them to a total of 3,000-4,000 at 99.00/Month. As of 10/17/2025 I finally realized that I was getting duped, and I called them Yelling at them, And FINALLY MY COVERAGE!!!!! I'VE HAD ENOUGH, AND WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!
