    I have my 2008 Escalade in the shop again for another engine because the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT has been on for almost 2 years after the engine had been replaced a few months before. I was due for the emissions test to renew my registration in February and failed. Called CarShield, took the car to their recommended shop Triton Auto Car, was told I had to change the fuel injectors. Changed them. Left the shop, CEL LIGHT came on before I got home. Went right back to the shop and was told I had to replace the catalytic converter for $2,100 that is not covered by CarShield. I left the end of May for ************, got to ************************** and had to have ****************** replace all 8 spark plugs for almost $900.00, got to PA stopped driving the car, had to replace 1 spark plug. Car shuts down in middle of the highway, the stabilitrak shuts off, over and over again and on my way back had to have all 8 spark plugs replaced again by the Chevrolet dealer in ************, ******** and they recommend I not drive the car because the engine is mis-firing. But I couldn't sit in ******** for weeks. I put 1 - 2 quarts of oil every 1/2 tank of gas or 250 miles since the new engine went in. ******** told me nothing wrong with the car. I got back to ********* driving ***** miles round trip, brought it right to ****** on September 10, and CarShield told me I had to take the car to a GMC dealer to replace the engine since the new engine is under GM's 3 year, ******* warranty. It is October 16th and no one can tell me the status of my car. ********** ***** GMC here in ********* hasn't returned my calls, CarShield doesn't call me. The last time my engine was replace by CarShield, ******** of ********* took almost 3 months to get the car back to **** spent more on repairs not covered to keep the car running with a bad engine than if I paid $5,000 2 years ago to put in another new engine myself. But, maybe it would have been another bad GM engine.

    I have had CarShield for a few years. They do not pay fairly for work done at a car dealership. I sold my 2016 **** F150 as a trade in as I don't own the vehicle anymore. I called CasShield to cancel my coverage on October 17, 2025. I asked for a pro-rated refund for the remainder of the month. I was told they don't refund any money. I could not get an explanation why. I asked for a manager and was refused by customer service agent. I am going to cancel my other car coverage with them at the end of the month and go to a different extended service company. I feel this is an unfair business practice.

    I got a policy with them. 6 months later, my transmission went out. They denied my claim because they said they pulled a carfax on my car and the mileage was different from what they had on record. Why would they pull a carfax? What does mileage have to do with being covered by them. I had to pay $5500 out of pocket to have my car repaired. Do not trust this company, read their reviews, they have terrible reviews. They are thieves.

    This company is involved in deceptive advertising. I received a letter stating that there will be a price increase for a warranty, which further stated that they will ", not be able to honor the service contract designated specifically for your vehicle." Believing I would be subject to a price increase, I called the number on the letter and a sales **** tried to get me to sign up for Carshield without even telling me that I do not have the coverage currently. This is a very deceptive business practice and I'm sure others have been taken advantage of due to the confusing nature of the letter and the sales strategy.

    Buyer be ware!! Theft of service. They take your money and dont help fix your car. My mechanic supplied them with video and photo and part evidence of the lifter failure and they refused to pay for what they claim they covered. They drag your claim out so it becomes a month without your car for a stupid fix. Also they elude to parts being covered than claim that they are not covered. Im out 2400 on payments plus all the money I paid my mechanic for the fixes car shield was supposed to cover. Buyer be ware!!!

    They did everything they could to not pay my claim and to blame every tiny insignificant thing on the mechanic. I called several times from the beginning to the end of this call. I was told they would be covering the diagnostic and also my rental car. Somehow they are telling me the diagnostic is not covered and neither is my rental car, only one of the 6 days it was in the shop. And just blame blame blame on the mechanic for submitting a 1 day claim supposedly, I called them and they said thats absolutely not true. They paid for 240 and I paid for 1300. I have already paid for 8 months so far with them. A complete scam and liars.
