I applied for a new passport through travel.state.gov. It appeared to be legit, but I never got a receipt or email. I was informed that the ** passport office does not accept any payments online and that the website that popped up was a scam. They have my social, mine and my parents names and birthdates. It appeared to be legit but it is a fraud. Now they have all my information and parents info. This website should be taken down and they should be charged with a criminal offense.Initial Complaint

on 4.3.2024, I thought I was at a website run by the government to renew my passport, however, it was a company that collects your information and fills in the application.At the final stage, they say they will email you the completed form, which they did not. I've checked my spam and inbox, and I have received no documents from them with the "service".I've attached an email chain where I continually point to the fact that I have not received the work that I paid for and continually request a full refund. They started with a 25% discount, and moved it to 50%. They never address the fact that they have failed to provide me the service that I paid for.This site is classic bait & switch. The format and feel makes you think you are on a official US government site. I kindly ask for a full refund.Initial Complaint

I have heard back from the business, but by email only. The telephone number, ************, goes to a voicemail. No call back, but only an answer from email. I was offered 25% refund. I refused with this response...I have been informed by U.S. Passports, **************, that this website is a scam/fraud. Please cancel this order completely and delete all of my information and refund the full amount of $85.83 billed to my credit card. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and I will file with the *** and whoever else if all of my information is not deleted and I am not refunded my full amount.
Your website is misleading and appears to be from the US ********** of ****** but is not..
Then I was offered a 50% refund. My reply....This is not acceptable. I was only trying to get a passport. I do not need whatever service you are providing. I still have to pay when I go to the post office to apply to get my passport! PLEASE CANCEL EVERYTHING, DELETE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION AND REFUND THE FULL AMOUNT OF $85.83!

I do not plan on responding back to this business ever, but will take action if my identity is breached. If the full refund is not received in 5-7 business days, I will be filing a dispute with my credit card company, in which they have already been informed. This business does claim that they have deleted my very personal information about myself and parents. But how do I know this is true? I have already issued a review of this business and it corresponds with the reviews of many others that went through this misleading website from this business from 2023 and 2024, not one positive review. I am hurt to hear that they *** have filed bankruptcy or have gone out of business from the BBB. Can their web page be deleted or flagged? How many other consumers are being scammed and do not to follow-up with the process for a refund/cancellation for a misleading website that appears to be associated with the US ********** of ***** for a passport? Once again, the telephone number is ************. This number was provided to me by my credit card company. Please call the number. I hope you get an answer to question their legitimacy or a call back from somebody to question their business practices. How many consumers were scammed but never bothered to file a complaint and lost their money? I assume that they feel some will not complain and that is free money to them. I am going proceed to cancel my credit card after the refund, but the main concern is the amount of information that was provided...all of my personal information, including my ssn, my parents name, where they was born, their birthdates, the birthdate of my ex-spouse, where he was born. Even though, per their email, they claim they will not sell my information to any one...how do I really know?

This website is designed to look like a government website. When I went to the post office to get my picture, they told me I didnt have to do that. That service that they are charging $88 for is free. Very misleading they are clearly targeting people who Click on some thing and thinking its a US government link.Initial Complaint

I use a scam website unknowingly. Passport-Assit.com. I inputed lots of confidential information and I am very concerned about future challenges. I got all the identify theft protection and called my bank. This is crazy that so many complaints out there on social media and still it continues. I was trying to print off the form for applying for a passport for my husband. In doing so, I typed into google.com, ** passport form... and this website came up to fill it out online. (usstate-apply.com) I honestly did not check the extension of the file so that is my fault. BUT, I guess I would hope that since this website has been identified as a "scam", that ****** would have done something to NOT ALLOW it to come up when you type into their search window? Maybe I am expecting too much? The people behind the website have my husband's SSN, place of birth, mother's maiden name ALL of which is what you are required to give when purchasing a birth certificate. They have our Credit card info including the 3 digit security code, etc... I don't care about the money that was stolen, it is the information that is probably now on the dark web.
