    Attempted to file for a passport online. Waited email confirmation that has never come. ****** search leads me to believe I've been scammed. The incident took place on January 6, **** on website passport-assist.com

    Passport assist.com posed as a company that could help with passport, made it seem if you paid $60, the standard fee for expediting passports, that everything would be ready to go. They take sensitive information and charge you. I did not receive the product I was promised and they have sensitive information which is concerning because they are not affiliated with the government. They say that in their website but nothing you his a link to fill out the form. Extremely misleading.

    Used passportassist.com to renew my passport and passport card and paid 88! And heard nothing back!! Constantly emailing and no response !

    This business is a scam. They lead you to believe you are the government website for passport renewal. They are really a third party filling out the form for you. They charged me a fee and took all my personal information.

    Date of transaction 1/12/2024 Amount $85.83 I was supposed to travel today and ended up having a problem with my passport so I went online and thought I was with a reputable compant only to find that they charged me $85.83 just to tell me a website to file for a lost passport which I already knew, and a new .com that sent me to a place that asked for over $800.00 more which I then realized was a scam, I called the phone number right away and the number was a non working number. They made it sound like they can help you get a passport asap, I dont need a company to file a passport for me I can do that myself at the post office. I thought they were going to help me not miss my plane.

    I needed to file an application for my passport I went to this website believing it was a government website they took all of my information including social security number credit card address and phone number and email the credit card went through when I realized I got a text from my credit card company asking if it was me it was a fraud alert and I said yes not realizing this was not a government website I then went back to realize the website I was on was not a government website which is why I got the text from my credit card company I tried reaching out and asking them to remove the charge but I've had no success now reading all of the BBB reviews I see that this company is a scam I am extremely concerned because they now have all of my information very sensitive and personal information please help

    How is it possible to say the company os no longer in business when I just used them yesterday and they took all my personal info and credit card info?

    On December 13th, I erroneously used the website of this business for passport renewal. I became suspicious when my credit card company refused payment. It was then that I realized that this company is not connected to the U.S. Government. Although I did not lose any money, much of my personal and sensitive information was given to this company. It is a scam and I am now worried about possible access to my personal information by other nefarious individuals. I have tried to reach out tho the company but only get a recorded message - please help!

    Website: www.passportassist.com. On 11/1/23 I was attempting to renew my ** passport online. I admit I did not pay close enough attention to the website. This website took all my personal information. I entered my bank card number and received an error message that said my payment did not go through. I thought I made a mistake, so I reentered the info and tried again, and again I received an error message. This is the point I realized this is not a valid website to actually renew my passport. I immediately went to my banking app and disputed the 2 transactions.

    Website looks like an official government website, and uses a Url that suggests it is as well, then buries disclaimers that suggest otherwise. I was fully through the process, including submitting payment, before I realized it wasn't a government site. I'm especially concerned because they collect sensitive data. Now, I'll also be out additional money paying for identity theft and fraud protection on top of the fees they collected.

    Date of transaction: 10/24/23 Amount: $67.88 Business committed to you: Passport assistance Issue: I was in a rush to complete my passport but did not realize this is not the official *** website. This looks like a scam. I would like all my information deleted from the website and refunded my money. This service is free on the *** website, I thought this website was to help file my passport online.
