  So sick and tired of them forcing the paid options on ** with no way to remove them. I really do not understands how it is ethical or legal for them to do this to consumers. They make it IMPOSSILBE to get it removed and this should not be the case. If, as they claim, the issue is software not being able to roll back then just STOP forcing the expensive versions without a confirmation step, it really is that simple. The fact that they choose not to after all of these years speaks to the money grubbing and sneaky nature of these vultures. They went so far as to lobby against making taxes easier for **, they are NOT here to help **.

  The most horrible service I've ever received. I had my taxes done April of 2022 there is been so many mistakes I am still waiting on my return I filed 3 years I have paid almost $500. H&r block in *********** Bel Air and ************************* do not know how to do their jobs and try to cover their mistakes. I want a full refund of my money for the mistakes that were made I've been there at least five times and for the questions I wasn't asked that would have helped me out more money I should have gotten didn't I have called the corporate office and cannot reach anybody I wouldn't give them one star

  Went into their branch office to have a Tax Pro (joke) prepare for a tax year. Brought all required information and documents to have them prepare it At the end was told they would submit the tax for that specific year.Payed them out of my checking account $155.00 to have them prepare my taxes.5 days later the money was pulled out of my checking account.After checking my status through the *** I realized something was wrong.Exactly a month to the day they prepared the taxes I physically went back down to their office in which they told me the taxes never got submitted.The reason I was told was because they did not receive money.After showing them the receipt off my checking account they were baffled.This company obviously has a lot of issues they need to work out.I demanded a refund through their customer service and still waiting for a response.I would not recommend H&R to anyone even if you are desperate.Just like any other big corporations they just want your money up front and don't give two chits about the service.

  when I filed my taxes in 2019, I thought H&R knew their s**t apparently, they do not. it 2023 and I'm still dealing with them. I been to their office multiple times to help me but, all I get is "we don't know'' or "we'll call when we find anything.' I don't what else to do, I am so confused on how they don't what to do. So, I asked for a refund since my 2019 taxes were never filed and of course they respond we have to give your request to the owner of H&R. So, I'm fed up now and trying to ********* to get this straighten out.

  They do not even deserve one star. For almost 10 years my taxes were completed by HR Block in **********. I moved in Dec 2021 to ********** to be near family (pandemic). I had to use the "My Block" account this year. with my ** tax pro. It was a nightmare. 1. a W2 was left out and the tax pro never asked me what the document was. This resulted in an amendment (their mistake but my time and money), 2. I then went to an HR Block location in ************* just to have my taxes reviewed not amended. They amended them and left out another item but also told me I was supposed to get more money back from ** (they would not sit with me). 3. I told them DO NOT FILE the amendment. I picked up the paperwork and went to another location in ************* in hope to sit down with someone to review my taxes (not one person would sit down with me and I was not going to upload the docs again to My Block). They would not sit with me hear either. I went back to my original ** office tax pro, who made the mistake and asked him to fix it and to GO OVER IT WITH ME. He did fix it but did not go over it with me. Plus, he could not show me the finished documents online. We had to call tech support but it never went up online. I want the ****** I paid for this terrible service back. I ended up contacting the headquarters. They did not review the documents I sent them, did not listen and would not assist me. Furthermore the manager of ********* Center location in ************* was rude and unhelpful. When I could not see my documents online and I asked for her assistance she refused. How is this company still in business? Please beware they made mistakes, were unable to use the digital format and were unhelpful. I want my money back.

  H&R Block ****** ***** lost my paperwork and did not file my taxes as promised. I only found out after contacting them to find out why my refund has not been received. After reporting the issue to the local manager, she promised to call me back by 5/15 after searching for my records. I have not received a call and now their office is closed again until Thursday. We contacted the main office to file a complaint, received a case number and a promise that we would have an update no later than 5/15. No one called ** back. I called them again today, the ******************** messed up and disconnected my call. The 2nd I talked to could only send a note to have someone call me. This is ridiculous! I should have had my refund weeks ago, and now I can't even get them to call me back to resolve the issue. Of course, they've already received their money for my tax prep - so there is no urgency to resolve my issue. Very disappointing!

  ************* location was probably the worse and most expensive experience when it comes to filing taxes. Accountant was rude and their advertising of upfront pricing is non existent.

  In 2021 I had H&R Block file my taxes. **************************************************************************************************. I paid my taxes and all seemed well. Now I find out they made a mistake on my tax form regarding the advanced child tax break credit. This mistake resulted in me still owing over $1,000 after fees and interests. They have pushed the blame on me. I paid them extra for accuracy and protection and they haven continuously blamed me. Their sole purpose is to know the rules and regulations regarding taxes which is why I went there. I have logged several complaints and I have received no aid. They blame me and they send me on wild goose hunts for made up forms with the **** This is unacceptable. My resolution is them covering the amount owed to the **** If this is completed I will remove this post and additional posts on social media.

  0 stars. This review is for the *************************** location (****************************************************************************). H&R Block was unable to complete my 2022 tax return due to a known software issue. I did not find out about this software issue until I was in the final review phase of my return process, and I was the one who caught the error on my return (not my tax advisor!!). In order to review my return, I had to pay the tax preparation fees ($550) first. Then I found out about the software issue. The team leader at the location (***************************) escalated the software issue to corporate, and they said that the issue could not be resolved by the federal & state tax filing deadline, so my options were to file for an extension and wait on the software fix, or go somewhere else to file my taxes. On 4/5/23, *************************** recommended via text message that I file elsewhere (to hit the filing deadline) and said he started the process for a refund. As I sit here today on 5/10/23, I have not received the refund, the branch will not answer their phone at all times of ********************** will not reply to texts or calls, and I have hit every dead end with the national call centers at H&R Block (after calling more than 5 times over the past 2 weeks). This has been an awful experience and I would not recommend utilizing H&R Block to any consumer. Horrible customer service and did not deliver the service that I paid for.

  Ill make it short. My tax pro entered my wire transfer number instead of my account number (even though I clearly labeled everything on the spreadsheet I gave her) and the *** and state couldnt access my account to debit my taxes. I was absolutely on my own in trying to contact *** and state to deal with my tax pros error. While theyve offered to reimburse late fees and penalties, H&R still feels entitled to keep the $680 prep fees I paid for the security of having them file my taxes and the assistance they provide if their tax pros make an error.
