  How ***** Block has stayed in business since '55 is a mystery! ******************* professionalism, accuracy, communication...NO!!!! - Website...non functioning. Help desk...tells me to send my info via email....really?? - Response from accountant to my questions....I am still waiting (it's now May).- *********** minimal at best. Without going into detail, I was penalized twice, in 2020 & 2022 taxes, by the *** due to their lack of knowledge regarding deadlines and Estimated taxes. Please reader, do yourself a favor....DO NOT USE ***** BLOCK TO FILE YOUR TAX RETURNS.

  H&R BLOCK had my fund transferred to their account and claims they aren't able to locate it. I contacted the *** whom stated, it was deposited, and to which account information it was deposited into. H&R BLOCK ARE CROOKS!!! I would highly recommend to stay clear. I spoke with a ***************** who was useless in her ability to do her job , when I called for help.

  Awful Service. I filed my taxes using there website. My E file was rejected because of a previous year AGI issue so I then f Printed and mailed my return like HR Block told me to. The *** then accepted and sent my refund out in a Refund Transfer. During the Refund Transfer, HR Block then decided to send my refund back to the ***....... YES THIS IS CORRECT, HR BLOCK( MY TAX PREPARERS SENT MY REFUND IN WHICH I MAILED IN USING THERE SERVICE...BACK TO THE ***...Then they claim there was an issue with MY BANK and took no accountability for there actions..

  On April 11th, I dropped off all my paperwork in the office for them to file. A man told me someone would be calling me the next day to file my taxes. 3 days went by, no one had called. Friday the 14th, I called to make sure they had received my paperwork. I was told again, that they were busy and someone would call me within 24hrs. Yet again, no one calls me for another 2-3days. On Monday afternoon, ******** calls and tells me she had started on my taxes but that wifes W2 was missing. (I know for a fact that it was in there) anyway, she insists its not in there. Luckily we took pictures so I had a picture of it. she tells me that she is going to text me with her info so I could text the picture of the W2 to her. Hours went by and I got nothing from her. Around 7pm, I called and left a message with *******. No one called me back, on Tuesday the 18th (due date for filing) I called basically 20times and left several messages and voicemails and nothing. At this point I am stressing and very nervous about whats going on. I called on Wednesday 19th and finally got to speak with ******* again (I think) she tells me they are extremely busy thats why no one has gotten back to me (I understand the busy part but dont justify no one, especially a manager taking 1min to call and simply acknowledge the issue) to summarize everything I have said, today is MAY 1st and I still have NOT heard from anyone from that office. I called the 1800-hrblock number to make a complaint last week, (my case # is xxxxxx) they told me here that a headquarter manager would look into my case and give me a call within 24hrs, well guess what? 2 days went by and No one has called me either. I called back couple days later and they set me a phone call with the taxt preparer on Saturday April 29th at 10am. No one called me againI dont even know if my taxes were every filed or if they asked for a filing extension since they were clearly late on them.

  On April 17th I went into my local H&R Block office to have my wife and I taxes prepared which they were and we were satisfied with the preparations. However, when I paid the $484 I also paid $220 for the individual that paid in front of me. I understand the Verifone credit card machine messed up but I have my bank statement showing both withdrawals on the same day. I returned to the branch and the branch manager said yes we see the mistake and your money will be deposited within 3 business days. So I waited 6 business days, returned to the branch and the receptionist at the desk no longer worked there and the manger no longer worked there either. I was able to get the email address for the District Manager ************ I emailed her on April 25th with absolutely no response, not even an acknowledgement of my email and today is May 1 and still nothing. This is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable and I will NEVER, EVER get my taxes prepared by this company again.

  I started my taxes online with help from a virtual assistant, a tax advisor, and a tax pro, on 2-6-23. I had a HR Block advisor call me on the phone and advise me on what i needed to file. He instructed me on what I needed to upload for the tax pro, and assured me that if it was incorrect or if she needed further information she would message me in myblock and email me. I paid for all the services possible out of my refund for help because I'm not a tax professional and I thought that I was getting what the company promises. The taxpro did my taxes incorrectly after filing them electronically to the *** and taking out $251.00 for fees and depositing the rest in my account. My state I was told had to be mailed in, but since was told was done electronically but there was no status on the state website, so there is no way to know for sure except to amend and if the state rejects the return we will know. I was told the taxpro i was assigned that prepared did not put in any of my sales on the return so now my federal has to be amended and I may owe. I have called, I have went in to offices, I have been told something different by every hr block person I have spoken to. I have even been told by one hrblock employee to write his preparer information in and hrblock information he would give it to me and to mail the copy that i had printed for state in to the department of revenue. Who does that? I told him absolutely not. This is all documented and on paper. I don't know what to do because now my personal information is everywhere and I feel so violated. I still have no answers about my state. This has been a nightmare and I will never go through this again.

  Very bad experience and unprofessional. I met with ************ 2 times spending 2 hours and still not done after being told it would be ready to sign the second time. Then the office closed end of season my taxes still werent done and no one returning my email or calls. Finally tracked them down they had been moved to a different office and no one told me. I was freaking out never did get them finished just picked them up to do somewhere else. Many wasted weeks!!!! Thanks a lot!!

  The service from this office now is a negative 10. I worked with a tax pro here for a few years and he was wonderful. But this year they assigned me someone new without explaining to me and it's been nothing but a hassle. At the time I submitted documents I sent in everything. But the tax pro still missed information that I CAUGHT upon review and I AM NOT a tax professional.Then my filing got lost somehow and was never actually filed. I only discovered this when I went to check my status at irs.gov by myself and it couldn't be found. It took over 10 days to get any response from the office. My tax pro was out, which I understand happens, but NO ONE was covering for her?? During tax filing season!? It appears to have been filed but they can't seem to get me a copy of my tax returns. I need a copy for my records and to ensure the correct filing was actually submitted. I keep calling and sending secure messages but you can't get a person when you call and every single voicemailbox is full. Don't call yourself a business if you aren't going to provide a way for your customers to contact you and actually be able to speak with you, or get a copy of their tax returns which you claim to have filed.

  The experience with H&R Block was horrible, stressful, and regretful.The tax advisor could not be bothered to explain a simple calculation and omitted a significant calculation, which she passively denied, but which I have in writing. I filed complaints on three occasions and have yet to received any responses to my simple questions, only hearing each time that my complaint would get escalated. The filing deadline has come and gone, my taxes were not completed correctly, and nobody has yet to respond.Considering their horrible customer service, their bumbling of calculations, I would never trust them to represent their work in an audit situation. I have since had to file an extension, sought the assistance of a CPA and am still hoping to get a refund from H&R Block. Please give me my money back.

  These people can't even read the year on a W2 before they start typing numbers into their program. I wound up owing an additional $2144.00 in taxes to the federal government. I trusted them to do quality control on the return. Their due diligence is having the customer sign the return absolving them of all responsibility. I'll be going back to doing my own taxes next year. ZI won't be snookered again.
