  Didn’t file my taxes in 2022 file the other day and was rejected getting the run around for days now who did my taxes will now return my phone calls at all been dealing with HR block for years this by far completing terrible will never use HR Block again

  If I could post a zero star review I would. The first time I take my taxes to someone to do besides myself I go with the intent of the emerald card cash advance. They denied me and while I was doing the taxes interview process I had to teach their EMPLOYEE how to add my own deductions with the h and r block description. So I went and didn’t get the advance and had to pay 300 just to file with them after a max refund guarantee when they tried to give me less in state than I was owed due to having deductions. All the employee knew how to do was input the standard information but y’all are suppose to be tax experts?

  I filed with HR Block to receive a refund advance. HR Block did not disclose my advance until after I could no longer back out of the service. As they charge 100s of dollars more than other companies that also offer the same service, I feel this is a dishonest practice, and has left me in a bad financial situation. They deposited my money immediately, so I could not back out and gave a much smaller amount than any other company offered. When I made a complaint with them, they did not respond. My refunds are always around 8000 and they offered 750. I would not have paid the extra 400 for such a small loan. That is criminal on my opinion. Avoid this company.

  I attempted to e-file with H&R Block using their online services on 2/01/24. The system did not catch an error regarding the requirement for a 1095-A form. I was never asked to enter the information required for this form (for marketplace healthcare) and proceeded to submit my taxes. Then, I was notified that the IRS rejected my taxes and it was here I discovered that somehow, the box for the marketplace healthcare was erroneously checked. Following the prompts to fix it, I tried to correct the issue, but was rejected over and over. I opened a chat to get assistance but the agent was not helpful and abruptly ended the chat instead of transferring me to "the next level." Filed using an approved IRS e-file provider. Will consider this in future filings.

  Worst experience ever with this company. I will not recommend using H& R Block.
  Company uses misleading advertising. Unethical business practices. Predatory and deceitful marketing. To targett specific population of clientele.
  I went to use this company for the first time to do my taxes because it offered refund advance up to 3500. I figured great instead of waiting for refund I would benefit from this service because I needed money for rent and bills. The tax preparer Lori D*** a CPA seemed to have difficulty with the software being used. She was not informed and could not provide information when I asked questions about the advance. Seems like company doesn’t offer a detailed training. Company charges a large fee for every additional document they have to complete. They push you to get your refund money on a card which they charge for. Here is the kicker they do not tell you that the advance loan can be denied. So ended up getting denied. Very misleading. I was extremely frustrated to walk in expecting a service to be provided and getting nothing but being charge a lot for nothing.
  IRS rejected my return the following day. I have since filed my own return saving all the fees I would have been charged by H & R Block. Very bad company. I will not recommend. I was able to get a higher refund by eliminating the fees and doing the work myself.

  Its very unfortunate that a company of this size has a Glitch in there system this year that will not allow you to file your taxes till the Glitch is fixed, But they do not let you know of this issue till after you have paid H R Block in FULL very disappointed and I am a long time HR Block customer and fan Not a good year for them this year. The Glitch has to do the EIN for Mass Health Care coverage Looks like Feb 10th they will have the glitch fixed ?

  I went to file taxes in Camilla Ga. and she refused to give social security card and w-2s back until i pay 70 dollars. I took my papers back now I have charges. Don't go to h&r block they scamming she didn't even have my computer on.. I am writing bad reports everyday until justice is served. H&R BLOCK SCAM.   Ive been trying to file the same return for 2 weeks with hr block, i have filed for last 5 years with them. When i called to see if i could come in and try for refund advance i was told they could get it done that day, four and half hours later she told me nothing she could do because she entered something that i told her not to and couldn't get it removed, 1 week later i finally went to another office and got it done only to be sent a msg saying my was rejected. I was charged 500 this year for hr block to prepare my taxes and when i called the south kirkwood MO office was hung up on with no answers. Someone at this office intentionally messed up my tax return, i trusted them with all my documentation and paid 500$ why am i being treated this way simply for wanting to try for a refund advance, they first told me i couldn't try until jan 29th because that when irs accepts returns which i knew was a lie. So right now ive paid $ 500 for my tax return to be rejected. What can i do???

  Do not purchase the "Peace of mind guarentee ". Entirely worthless. I got audited for 2017 and had to pay back roughly $8000. Its 2024 now and after many years of back and forth and unreturned calls, I've learned their peace of mind is no guarantee.
