  I filed a return last year and never got any of it. I had a tax pro do my taxes. I coukd never get any help from hnr block to as why I wasn't getting my return. Always saying she had no idea what was wrong and letters from the IRS sayijg we need this much time one after another. So, I had to go to tax advocate to figure out the reason. Finding out this tax pro entered my w2s from 21 and 22 together on the same line instead of listing the amounts separately. Now I have to file an amendment and ive asked if they could help me do this and have ignored me. I've been ignored multiple times regarding this issue over the past year. It is now the next tax season and I still have not received anything from my last years years return.

  The company customer support is horrible. I have called at least 15x with no resolution or help. I couldn’t access my account so they told me make another instead of fixing the problem and then my documents didn’t transfer and they wouldn’t give me access to there or a way to get them. I would never use them again or have anyone use them. They lied, never called back and tell me something different every time I call

  I was charged more than my paperwork stated for tax preparation fees.
  My tax preparation took over 2 hours and he didn't even file the state I lived in, instead he filed the state I work in as the state I live in. Had to have my taxes r done for both the state I live in and work in.
  Cannot get a direct answer from anyone, each time I call the tax office I get a different answer. Been lied to about getting my tax preparation fees reimbursed. Was told I'd have a check in 10 days that never came, called today and I'm being told the fees were not excepted for reimbursement and they can re file the claim and it will be minimum of 6 weeks to get my money back. Are you kidding me! Office manager will not even speak to me directly anymore, receptionist was suppose to call me back in 5 minutes with a number to call corporate. That never happened.

  We will NEVER use HR Block again, and will advise everyone we know not to use them. We scheduled an appointment with a tax professional and filed on January 31, 2024. The tax Professional was given ALL documentation as evidence for our taxes. The HR Block professional intentionally filed a partial return and didn't give the IRS any of the evidence. The IRS in turn has given us issues because the evidence we provided to HR Block never got submitted. When we reached out to the HR professional her attitude was "o-well we don't submit the documents you'll have to figure it out on your own". We paid for the full and complete tax filing AND peace of mind. Our HR Block representative took a careless approach and is now causing us grief with our return. do NOT use HR Block, they are crooks and clueless. They are reactive and not proactive and they steal your money for services they intentionally screw up.

  I am a nobody. I make no money HRBlock discussed my taxes and income among themselves. HIPPA Violation. When confronted they hung up on me.

  This company has begun receiving payments from the irs and decided to hold funds of millions of customers from them using banks that’s not accredited by the BBB itself banks known as Pathward N.A. that then tells customers there not releasing any funds to the day of this leaving it sitting in accounts that the bank then loan out to private investors neither returning principals back to customers this is a scam Ponzi scheme also charge hidden fees after application process and has already been approved. Emrald card is the card they use

  After almost completing my self-employment tax is in ***., the preparer states it is going to be just over $600. Im in shock, and never had to pay that much to have taxes done. I have an appointment to finish taxes today. But, cannot afford those kind of hidden fees. Their fee ***************** are a lot different than in person.Too much ambiguity with H&R Block and I feel like Ive been robbed!Going to make some phone calls for advice.

  HR Block charges an arm and a leg, we know that. However to be charged an excessive amount of money and not get the specific service you go for even offered to you, that is absurd. Then they had the nerve to say I should have asked for the service and offered nothing in return. I will never do business with this place again. This has inspired me to learn how to do my own taxes so I can avoid being scammed by this company again.

  Application glitch and horrible customer service!
  On Feb. 10th 2024, I decided to filed with H and R block just to give it a try as for the past few years I had filed with Turbo Tax. I paid H and R $75 to filed which it was slightly cheaper than Turbo Tax but for some reason a noticed when I entered my dependents last names (which it’s 2 last names) it’s wouldn’t let me because it’s too many characters too enter. It would simply cut it off. So, I just entered one last name thinking one last name and e-filing like that would be enough for the IRS. I was wrong. It got rejected by the IRS, stating my dependents info did not matched what it was supposed to be. I opened a live chat with H&R Block and explained that they have a glitch in their system they have to fix because it would not let me enter more then “X amount of characters “ in the box of last names and I needed to be able enter 2 last names. The rep in the chat kept referring me to call IRS for them to tell me what’s the problem. I knew what was the problem but the idiot kept telling me I was wrong and was rude to me and ended the conversation online. I decided to file with Turbo Tax and pay again the fee $79 to e-file, which with them I never had a problem entering 2 last names and my taxes got excepted by the IRS without any issues. I call H and T Block to get my fee refunded and they said no because I originally submitted my taxes even though it got rejected. So, I was like “it got rejected because of your fault on your side of the stupid glitch and I tried to explain this to your ppl ( which o spoke to 4 different ppl) kept giving me the run around and for you to keep my money. I don’t think this company should be out there run like this and keeps ppl money like that especially if they know they are wrong. If you want to keep your customers be responsible, return the money and apologize for the error of your product.
