      The worst experience I have ever had filling my taxes and I will NEVER file my returns with you again.

      Unforuatnely this is not a once in occurance issue - this dates back even as far as 2021.

      In 2021 I filled a formal complaint with one of your in office agents based in Dallas, Texas who was extremely racist and unprofessional. That lead to your regional GM and area GM getting involved to calm the situation.

      Unfortunately this year would be just as bad. I decided to file my returns online using one of your 'tax pros'. For starters the returns were filled incorrectly at first, then you charged my personal credit card the amount for the fee, and once my returns were approved you deducted an additional preparation fee again. Collectively you withdrew $410 from me which forced me file a dispute charge with my credit card company to get back the $205 you double charged me (thank you chase bank). Now to the fun part, working with the tax pro was a complete mess with lack of communication and help. My tax return was finally approved and I gave you my direct deposit bank details. For whatever reason this apparently was rejected and you sent my tax refund to my previous address not current. Now I am having to wait another 90 days to have the IRS resend a new check.

      Customer service was even more shocking, countless calls, lack of direction/knowledge of what to do. I requested multiple times to chat to someone who could help but was hung up on.

      Sadly, this isnt a shock to me as I know the your currently being investigated by the FTC for Wiping Consumers’ Data, Deceptively Marketing ‘Free’ Online Filing.

      I've tried multiple ways to get your management teams to respond and explain what is going on but that seems to fall on deaf ears.

      I will be waiting for your response - make it a good one and ditch the corporate jargon.

      I just spent 2 hours before deleting my account. My income has 4 pensions. The form kept asking for information so it could determine if my pensions are taxable. I couldn't put in any more or different information than is on the 1099R. I will never use them again. I think they wanted you to ask for more help and charge $55 for it

      I would like to express to you my complete dissatisfaction in the lack of professionalism of an employee that works for and represents H&R Block. My boyfriend and I went to an H&R Block location to get help with his 2023 taxes because he is self-employed. H&R Block prides itself in providing excellent customer service and the maximum refund. Based on our experience we will never go back to an H&R Block again after the way we were treated.

      We were working with a Ms. Shirley Sellers at the Brooksville Plaza location in Florida and were laughed at and made fun of due to our questions regarding deductions. It was so bad that at one point she stated, “I need to watch my mouth” and another time a coworker left her desk laughing at what was taking place. We were embarrassed and angry about the way we were treated. Being in the social media influencer community and model we were unsure of what were legal deductions. Our questions were honest and in part naive due to our inexperience with tax preparation.

      It is truly disappointing that a company that provides a service to the public allows their employees to degrade a customer for asking honest questions. Be assured that we will never use your service in the future and that we will share with others the experience we had with your company. We were so upset about the way we were treated we took our returns to another H&R Block location just to get them finished. I will also be reporting this to the BBB.

      Stay away from H&R Block. I completed my tax returns on line over a month ago.
      The return was accepted by the federal government and I had my refund a week later.
      When I filed my state income tax in Alabama I was informed that it was e filed but state had
      not accepted it yet. I have checked with the state and they state that return has not yet been
      transmitted. I called local office and they told me they had no problems with returns being accepted. I later called local office and they informed me that it would be 89.00 just for
      them to resend a completed return that was done through H&R Block. This is 110% more than
      the total price of federal and state returns. I recommend to stay far away from H&R Block.
      I will be staying away from them and will let anyone who will listen how bad this company is.
      They DO NOT care about their customers. All they care is about getting your money.
      Also I haver never received any messages that return could be resent.

      Absolutely horrible customer service!! I've been trying to get my taxes prepared for a month now. I've called Ron dodge several times and when I finally do talk to him he asked me the same questions he already did two weeks prior. I've called for Jeff the manager twice and nothing!! They don't care. I need someone who can do my taxes. I shouldn't have to fight to get my taxes filed.

      My family member who does not drive had booked an appointment with the H & R Block office on Main St in Enterprise AL. She asked for a 9 AM appointment time when she booked a year in advance. When they sent her a text message to confirm the appointment, they gave her an 11 AM time. She called to explain why that time was a problem for her getting transportation. She showed up at 9 am on Sat 24 Feb, and they took her info and told her she would get a telephonic appointment at 11. She participated in the 11 AM telephonic appointment and was told that the store would be open until 8 PM so that she could come back and sign the paperwork. We arrived back at H & R Block at 7:15 PM and the business was closed, locked up. This will now require a THIRD visit to get her tax paperwork completed and filed. The receptionist gave bad information. I do not know if the receptionist who told her to return by 8 PM was the same one who mishandled her appointment scheduling, but we are inconvenienced by the lack of competence in this office.

      I am a 25+ year satisfied H & R Block customer, BUT today I phoned the local office to confirm the address of where I should go for my appointment.
      It took them 11 min and 35 sec to answer the phone. They eventually said they get many calls and don't have enough people to answer them promptly.
      This is not the customer's problem; it is H & R Block's problem. If they need more people to provide satisfactory customer service, they should hire more.

      Horrible experience. They don’t know what the heck they are doing!! Paid 300 dollars for a tax return that was done wrong and given wrong information about and gaslit to believe that I misunderstood. And I still didn’t receive back my original w2s. Pressured into the emerald card and to give to the election fund ??! Nope never again will I use this poor excuse for a tax service and borderline criminal franchise.

      My complaint is for the HR Block office in Troy, Pa. I was assigned a new agent after mine had retired. Once seated, the new agent never made eye contact with me and was still working on someones else's taxes as I sat in wait. She informed me it would be a few more minutes. Once she started on my taxes, still avoiding any eye contact and talking to me as she stared at the screen asking me questions. Once she completed whatever she was doing she turned and asked me about my forms. Still looking down at papers. I turned everything over to her and she began to input all the data. I also had to endure the constant noise from the other agent in office complaining about other people's taxes and how disgusted they both were with the office, equipment and how they have to tolerate so much crap from the customers they get paid for supplying a service too. I felt like leaving, but thought I just want to get my taxes processed. After approx 40 minutes of time had gone by (with phone call interruptions) the agent supplied me with the documents and informed me that there scanner wasn't working and it would be great if I created a MyBlock account and uploaded them myself later. The agent also supplied me with the wrong destination to submit my local taxes. Once I paid the $260.00 fee I was given my tax package and sent on my way. (BTW, was never informed of the cost of service). I sent off the check for my local taxes the next day. The day after I received a tax notification from my local tax office, which was different from the destination I had already mailed them too. So, I contacted the HR Block agent and was told that she had given me the wrong address. I stopped payment on the check I sent and requested a new tax document for re-submitting my local taxes to the correct location. It's been 3 weeks now and the Troy office has yet to supply me with the document for re-submission. After numerous attempts of various comms, I've been told it's in the mail. Avoid this office.

      I paid for peace of mind. I continue to try to file a claim. No one would return my calls,but I am being promised to get a call. I pay for the peace of mind and now HR BLOCK DOES NOT WANT TO HONOR !! THE TAX PRO DID NOT FILE MY INFORMATION CORRECTLY,WHICH CALLED FOR AUDIT NOW I AM BEING AVOIDED By HR BLOCK I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH HR BLOCK AGAIN. The tax pros r not educated and very unprofessional
