  DO NOT have these people do your taxes! They made a HUGE mistake on mine and now I've had to pay in almost $4500 which includes late fees and penaltys for THEIR mistake. I'll never use them again.
  I'm on a fixed income. My husband passed away. He had always done our taxes and I had never done them so I went to H&R Block feeling confident that they would accurately do my taxes. They did not and now, in June, I've had to pay almost $5000 because of their mistake. This is not money that I had so I've taken a loan out.
  When I went to H&R Block to report what had happened, they basically told me (Belinda) that I just had to pay it. It was all their mistake.
  Please don't trust this business. I'm sharing my story with as many as I can because they have basically bankrupted me.
  At the very least they should pay the $99.46 that I was charged for penalties and late fees. This business has no heart. I can see why they're not BBB accredited.

  I have had nothing but issues out of H&R Block. I applied for a tax extension for the 2022 tax season, which gave me until October 16, 2023 to file. I completed it myself and sent all my paperwork online to have it be reviewed by a tax pro. She did it incorrectly, so I had to have her redo it. Well she didn’t file it on time because she was out of office and said someone else was supposed to take care of it. Obviously they didn’t, so she told me she submitted it (about a week late) and to let her know if I get any fees for it being late. I never heard anything. So this year, I go to file my 2023 taxes and come to find out-my taxes were NEVER FILED. So now I have $700 in fees that I never should be responsible for because they’re incompetent. Every time I try to speak to someone, they tell me it’ll be 3-5 days until someone else can call me. Then, 2 separate times that I have had to call them (because they never called me back), they have acted like what I called about before, there was no record of! It has been an absolute nightmare. I have paid the extra fees because they told me that’s the only way they’d be able to reimburse me but they keep telling me they’re closing it because they’re not in the wrong, or I can’t talk to a supervisor, or they’re not the correct department. It’s been an absolute nightmare and I would never recommend this company to anyone. I finally got wise and asked for peoples names the last 2 times. Specifically Harrison at DIY Tier 2 couldn’t find my case number even though I had it in a email FROM THEM, I had spoken with Ashley, also DIY Tier 2, the week before and she had supposedly escalated it to a supervisor. Still waiting on a call back. No response and I’m out this extra money because they can’t do their job.

  I filed my taxes with H&R Block in Middleburg Florida. After providing accurate information, my tax professional filed my tax return incorrectly. I filed on the 4th of February 2024 and as of June 15th, I have yet to receive my federal tax return due to H&R's inaccurate filling. H&R Block had to submit updated information to the IRS to correct their mistake. I have contacted H&R Block, requiring them to honor their 100% Accuracy Guarantee, promising to waive tax prep fees and file an amended return at no cost, if the mistake was made on their end. They are refusing to honor their own 100% Accuracy Guarantee.
  
  An additional tax professional had to correct the original mistake and clearly said I provided accurate information the first time. However, it was simply incorrectly inputted into their tax software system. The professional who corrected the mistake showed me the forms I originally provided and where the original tax professional went wrong. I have explained this to the powers that be with the H&R Block customer service representatives and their supervisors in an attempt to honor their 100% Accuracy Guarantee and waive the tax prep fee. The Supervisors refused to honor their guarantee even though the mistake was made on their end after I provided accurate and true information.

  Avoid this H&R Block at a costs! This location employs the most incompetent, unprofessional staff that I have ever encountered. My taxes were not handled correctly and I have visited another location since and to date I have not received my refund! I requested a specific individual to process my return and my taxes were done by Stefanie Guznay, who I am sure was not qualified for this task. I had to use a credit card for payment and I am now carrying a balance due to this mess. I made multiple trips to the office as I was receiving 2-3 voicemails each day stating that my taxes were ready to be picked up. When arriving at the office I encountered Barbara Hagan who is not only very rude but extremely unorganized as well as unprofessional. The address was incorrect on my envelope as well as my last name, it is no mystery why I have not received my refund. The office is shut down after tax season and there is no recourse. When I attempted to get answers on the IRS website it gives a phone number and extension that refers you back to the website. A total nightmare all the way around!!

  They have totally messed up my mother's (I am her POA)return a 1349.00 mistake, when contacted I was told they would look in to it, I am still waiting. They have now closed for the weekend and won't return until Tuesday. H and R Block will never touch our taxes again. They are a nightmare. No stars horrible. Only because I had to.

  I went in to have my taxes done in February and the first time I went in there were mistakes so I went back to have them done again and I wasn’t happy with it so I didn’t file the taxes. The taxes were never filed and I’ve been waiting on a refund since February. I’ve called several times and the first time they told me I would have the refund in 6-8 weeks. Then I’ve called several more times and they keep telling me it’s under review and they’ll have someone contact me. I was contacted by someone after my 3rd call in but wasn’t able to pick up because I was at work so I called back at the call back number they gave me and left a message and never heard back again. My latest phone call they told me it’s still under review and will be another 6-8 weeks before I get the refund but they would have someone else contact me. Nobody else has contacted me and it’s been almost 4 months since I’ve requested the refund. Would definitely like to hear from someone and get my refund.

  I’ve had nothing but problems with H&R Block, sad to say my wife and I use them for quite a number of years much to my regret now. They have screwed our taxes up at least three times, now this most recent I got audited on 2020 state property tax and had to pay in $1200 of which 100 of it was interest that you guys were supposed to pay and I filled all of the paperwork brought in the papers from the state to the Burnsville Mn office Katy B*****. She said that H&R Block had made the mistake and there was some rigmarole that I had to go through in order to get my hundred dollars and I’ve been waiting for it now for months. This is ridiculous so much for their guarantee about making a mistake and then they’ll they’ll pay for it, I had to pay $1200. Again they owe for interest charged!

  My tax returned was not done right took almost 5 months to get my refund and have no clue of what the tax preparation lady did for the IRS to have to fix the error.. I have put more the one complaint and my problem has yet to be resolved.

  0. Been waiting on a refund on taxes filled due to inaccurate returns. This has been going on since April 2024. It's now almost June and no refund. I've called numerous times for them to rectified the situation with no availability. It's ridiculous I paid for a service to be accurate and was not. Just looking for my refund that is rightfully owned to me.
