July 1, 2023 is when I started service today is Monday, August 14. I had to call them every week but one to why my garbage not being picked up. This past Friday it was not picked up I called again. She told me it was gonna be picked up on Saturday and it was not, it is now **** on a Monday and its still not picked up. I I called and asked to speak to a manager or the owner she right away wanted to know the address and then told me it will take 12 to 48 hours for a manager or owner to call me. She told me a manager was there, but it takes that amount of time for them to call, how sad. I want to end my service again. She told me I need to speak to the manager. I have a voice message from them stating that it is a one-year lock rate agreement and that there is no contract, but it sounds , like I am obligated to the one year which in service like this if you call it that because they have not picked up my garbage that is not service that is not their commitment that is not their advertising to what they are going to do and here I have to call every week I am very ****** off as I believe anybody would be I have surveillance cameras to prove this stuff and here they want their driver to take a picture . As I was writing, the manager called me and explained to me that the code wasnt being processed to the driver. Funny how I have to call every week. The manager told me the garbage would be picked up today. I called at 3 PM because my garbage was not picked up yet, the person I spoke with said the trucks are out till 6 PM and I am scheduled. Its 6:15 PM now and garbage was not picked up two people lied to me today and this is not sitting well with me. All I wanna do is end my service with them but they state I am in a year contract Verbal contract. Id be happy in quitting service with them for lousy service and lying to me. Ive had enough you tell me what to do next because Im ready to talk to a lawyer.

On 7/14/23 Curbside cashed my check for $82.69. I sent the check by mistake through ***** ******************* Pay. I stop the pickup of my garbage at *************************** on June 30, because I moved to ****** on June 30. I waited for the check to arrive by mail and then called Curbside for a refund or the return of the check. I was told that Curbside **************** does not do refunds that I was to go through ***** Fargo. **************** said that since the check was cashed they could do nothing to get my money back.I called Curbside back and talked to the manager (mostly spoke in anger) and asked for the number for the President or Accounting. She said customer service is not authorized to give out those numbers. She said in fact that they did not have the numbers available to them to give out.I think that this policy is a deliberate program to slow down the return of funds to the rightful owners. We have to go to 3rd parties to help us have our money returned. I believe this violates the BBB standards of accreditation. This policy is not truthful, transparent, responsive, breaks promises, and lacks integrity.There is no organization that I work or worked for that did not have a refund policy, gave the client a recourse to talk to accounting/refund team, and blocked attempts to talk to the president of the company.I want the BBB rating changed, because it is obvious that the policies of Curbside are deliberate. That shows that keeping the money is more important to them. The we are friendly company advertisement program is just that advertising and not sincere.

Good morning,
Per Curbside Waste agreements and the client paying the invoice, they agreed to no refunds on prepaid services. This is standard practice in the waste removal industry. If there is an extra pickup of a bulk item needed from the move, we would gladly pickup, or the credit going to a product dumpster.

I had called Curbside to cancel my service for end of July since I was moving and would no longer need a garbage removal service. I was told that I was under a 2 year contract and would have to pay a $200 fee on top of paying for an extra month that I didn't need the service! The only reason I had switched over was that a Curbside salesman talked me into their service and made it seem like a good deal. The salesman DID NOT DISCLOSE that I would be under a 2 year contract or that I would have to pay a ridiculous fee to get out of it. I was completely unaware that I was on a contract until I called to cancel. I would have never signed up for their service knowing that. Completely unethical company!!! I would never recommend Curbside if this how they treat their customers.

On 7/11/23 our trash was not picked up, I contacted Curbside on 7/12 to see why they informed me on 7/13/23 that my account was 7 months overdue and I would have to pay $445 for my services to be resumed. Before this date I was never notified about my account being overdue, even though in November my husband got an email from them requesting an updated payment method for our December bill, at that time he gave them updated information and his account was charged on December 7th. I emailed back on 7/13 asking for clarity on the invoice and after not getting a response I emailed them again on 7/14 requesting that I get a response before the end of the day so we could settle the account before the weekend I emailed once again at the end of the day on 7/14. On Monday, 7/17 I called the customer service number in the morning to try to resolve the issue before the end of the day. I was told I needed to talk to a manager about my requests, I emphasized that I needed someone to call before the end of the day as I needed my trash to be picked up. I never got a call back on 7/17. That evening I brought trash out to my trash can and there were maggots on the trashcan. I then called Curbside back at 8:00 am on 7/18 since that was trash pick up day to request a courtesy pick up due to the lack of communication with a Curbside manager. I was told again that a manager would need to call me back about this request. At 11:15 am on 7/18 I got an email from ***** that was a derogatory and insinuated that I can't read my invoice. I emailed ***** back at 11:58 am requesting a phone call, I also called the customer service line to request to speak with ***** and was told they were busy. I feel as though I am being pressured to pay a bill that I disagree with and Curbside is not willing to talk to me about otherwise I will have to bring my maggot covered trash can back next to my home. This company has been impossible to get any answers from and I feel they are taking advantage of people.

Signed up for Curbside waste, for trash and yard waste, to start July 1, 2023. No Service showed up first week, called them, said they would pick up this week. Nobody showed up. Paid them $60 and no service for over two weeks. I believe that Curbside Waste is a scam.

Curbside rasied my monthly rates by *****% without any formal notice. I called to talk to their customer service about the issue on 7/14/23. I was told it was done automatically by their computer system. The customer service rep reduced the rate but it's still 50% more than previous. There was nothing else ******* was able to do. By not giving customer notice of the upcoming price increase of 60% curbside is forcing the customer to pay the new rates, instead of giving us proper time to look for a competitive rate.

I am rejecting this response because:
My rate didn't go back to the previous rate, and their was no notice given to the raise. The new rate I am now forced into is close to 25% higher. Is it an error because then there shouldn't be any change in the rate. The owner of the business responded to my review on ****** that this was not an error but correct billing. I've now gotten three different response to the same issue. If there is a rate increase enough notice should be given to the customer to find a different choice without being forced to accept the rate. However auto pay customer have been blindly forced to pay higher rates without any knowledge.

I recently purchased a home and the previous owners had a dumpster from curbside waste heaping full in the driveway. I contacted the company several times to remove the dumpster and they kept telling me they were coming but never came. After 2 weeks of calling them, on May 31st, they sent someone to pick up the dumpster. When we arrived at the house after it was removed we found that when they picked up the dumpster they removed everything that was heaping over and placed it in our construction dumpster. We will now be charged for everything they put into that dumpster that is not construction material. When I contacted the company to resolve this issue they stated that the driver said that he didn't do that and they would not send anyone out to pick up the items that were put in our dumpster. I am not impressed with this company and would not recommend them to anyone.

They offered to remedy the situation by offering me 2 months of free garbage removal if I signed a contract with them. I would prefer to pay for garbage removal from a reputable business.

I am rejecting this response because: It was explained to your dispatcher on several occasions that the dumpster was heaping prior to the removal from our property. I personally in that position would pass on that information so that the driver could have been prepared and a bill could have been sent to the appropriate person for any of the excess. I appreciate you following up on this matter and hopefully using it to train current and future employees in customer service. In July of 2021 I contacted Curbside Waste to end service because I was moving away.In August 2021 my trash can was removed.Around February 2022, I contacted Curbside Waste because I was still being automatically billed every other month, for $77.70. This occurred for four periods: Sep/Oct, Nov/Dec, Jan/Feb/ Mar/Apr. A total of $310.80 was charged to my card for service that I did not receive. I was told the the account would be closed appropriately and the account would be closed.I never received a refund or further communication.Around February 2023, I started receiving letters from ******** ******************** a collection agency stating I owed $638.32 to Curbside Waste. I checked my account online and was still being billed every other month at the same rate.I contacted them again on 03/10/23, and was told I would not receive a refund, as they didn't have a record that I requested to cancel my service. They would call the collection agency though and clear my balance. I continue to receive collection letters, so I contacted the collection agency on 5/30/2023. They stated they never received any further communication from Curbside Waste about my account.My credit is being affected by this. I have contacted them multiple times and am being told different things. I am owed $310.80 for when I continued to be billed after they discontinued the service.

My balance has been removed and the account closed.
She has initiated the process of removing me from the collection list and agency.
She was unable to refund my money that was collected from me after my service was discontinued.

After getting my annual yard waste bill, I saw that it was a 20% increase from the previous year, which was a 20% increase from the year before that. I started searching around to compare rates with other haulers in the area. I contacted Curbside, who reduced my yard waste rate to the 2022 rate, so I paid my bills (yard waste and solid waste are separate bills/accounts). Then I got some return calls from the other carriers that I had reached out to and found out that I could get my solid waste at less than 2/3 what Curbside was charging me ($88.66 for 2 months for curbside vs less than $80 for 3 months from *******), so I decided to make the switch to *******. I made that decision before the beginning of the *** billing cycle, even though I had already paid for that cycle and the year's worth of yard waste at $179.99. Now they are telling me that they do not refund monies paid for prepaid services, which I guess these are because I have to pay for them before the service is rendered. And in their defense, as they pointed out, their billing does make that statement.However, I have not received any service at all for my recent payments. There has been no pick-*** made for my residential solid waste for *** and June, and I purposefully did not put out any yard waste for pick-up either for this year. I think that I should be able to have my money refunded for services that were not provided, and I think that it is criminal that Curbside should be able to keep the money paid to them even though no service was rendered. I want my money back. $179.99 for the annual yard waste and $88.66 for *** and June billing cycle for a total of $268.65.

I am rejecting this response because:
There has been no service rendered for the monies paid. After paying for the service and before the service period started, I decided that I no longer wanted to continue with the company after being with them for many years. Since there was no service rendered, the money should be refunded. It is the only real, morally right and responsible recourse to the situation. Otherwise, in most any other context, not refunding the payment amounts to stealing.

On 5/2/23 our normal schedule trash pickup was due to occur. It did happen but not only was my trash picked up so was the mailboxes and post for myself and neighbors' mailboxes. No notification was left of the incident from the waste company. We came home to our mail post on the front yard as long with the mailboxes. Something wasn't sitting right so of course we checked our security cameras. Surely it recorded to whole thing including audio. It clearly reflects the placement of our cans which has never changed since we started service with the company in August 2022. We've had numerous issues with this company for example being overcharged for a larger can then we actually have for several months. I do have to be transparent they did rectify it by crediting my account after numerous communications between self and company. Now the issue at hand. I immediately contacted the company and advised what happened. The agent (*****) was unbothered as if this is a normal thing. She advised me to email her the footage and details of our account which was done. Shortly later I received an email back from the agent putting the responsibility back on us stating the can should have been out of the driveway 6 ft to be exact. Which they were you clearly see on camera the placement of the can which were curbside on the right side of driveway. The same place we have always placed our cans. The overall service of the call and how they handled thing left a bad taste in our mouth. Not to mention the company literally damaged property mistakenly and left no notification of what happen or called dispatch to advise so they could contact us nothing! All I was given is the blame back on us for using their company I guess and stating the email was forwarded on. No info to whom or how we the customer can contact this party that now is looking into this. We are just sitting ducks; in additions we have no access to receive mail. Something need to be done there need to be accountability here!
