Had new windows put installed May 2024. Came out and measured 3 times, guarantee that all the windows are the right size, custom made to the measurements. Come to find out, they're smaller. So our window fans and ac unit no longer fit in. Called to ask them, they claim it's in the contract that the windows will be smaller and that putting in an ac unit will void the ENTIRE warranty. It's not. I read the paperwork. They say there's nothing they can do.

      Business Response

      Date: 06/21/2024

Window Nation apologizes for any miscommunication that the customer has experienced with their project. Unfortunately, our contract does state in Section 9, paragraph C, that the air conditioning unit may not fit into the window opening. The customer can still put an AC unit in their window as long as they are not altering or damaging the window. Window Nation has attached a copy of our contract.

I am rejecting this response because: no where in their description does it say that the windows might be smaller. Of course, it also calls them bathroom windows on the second floor, and the bathroom on the second floor has no windows. The salesman personally guaranteed the windows would be the same sizes, and they aren't. I want the bill adjusted for those 3 "second floor bathroom windows".

Window Nation apologizes for any miscommunication. When the customer signed the contract for *********************, nowhere on our contract did it state that the windows would be the same size as the existing ones. Replacement windows are custom-made to be installed in the existing frames. When that happens, the window may have some glass loss.

I am rejecting this response because:
If you know that there will be glass loss, then they don't need to come out and measure 15 times. The salesman told us they would be the SAME SIZE. I maintain that I am owed a refund for the 3 windows upstairs. I am not going to drop this. Take it up with whoever the salesman was.

A sales representative (******) from Window Nation came to our home in April 2024 to discuss replacing 8 windows. While here, we discussed exactly what we were looking for with price. We were given the option to have 60 month financing, no interest. Once 60 months were up, we would have to pay the balance with interest. We clarified this multiple times and negotiated on a lower total balance, which his supervisor signed off on. While going through the paperwork, he explained in detail the option we chose (higher total balance, longer financing, no interest). However, the paperwork did not reflect what he was verbally telling us. While I understand we should have read the documents we were signing, ****** was saying he was explaining the document in detail. We paid $500 the day of. We called ****** for weeks asking for information on how to start paying, with no direction. Now, we received paperwork for a loan, with *****% interest. There was never any mention of a loan, nor did we want a loan. Solely financing with the company, again promised 60 months interest free. I believe this salesman took advantage of my husband and I because of our good nature and for being a young home owner. I understand the loan is now in action, but I firmly believe what happened to us was a classic bait and switch situation and should be investigated as I am sure we are not the only ones this has happened to.

Window Nation apologizes to our customers for any frustration they have experienced, as our goal is to always provide accurate and complete information about their financing plans. Window Nation did reach out to our customer on June 17, 2024, and advised them that we were pulling back the loan and changing it to the correct plan that was originally offered. Window Nation greatly appreciates our customers' patience.

I had a sales person come to my house and I went forward with getting windows installed. Two weeks before the windows were scheduled to be installed I noticed the financing plan was incorrect on my account and immediately brought it to the attention of my sales *** who said it would be resolved the next day. I have been following up for 9 weeks now and have been met with excuses as to why this has not been fixed but have been assured every week that the issue is getting fixed and should be fixed by the next week and the sales *** will follow up. He never follows up, it is always me reaching out every week. I have had these windows installed over a month ago and the financing is still incorrect. The plan that I was previously attached to occurred interest and then window nation supposedly canceled that plan after the interest was charged. I have been asking for a number to the financing department to speak to someone directly and the sales *** just keeps telling me its being handled and not giving me a number. Ive tried countless times to call the financing number on my work order but it will ring for 10 minutes and hang up on me every time. On top of all of this the sales *** has been ***eatedly telling me he is sending me post installation paperwork as well as 2 promotional gift cards that I have yet to receive in the mail. He told me on week that he sent the paperwork out on May 15 and I should receive it by the end of the following week and if I do not to contact him. Once I didnt receive it I contacted him and he informed me he never sent it out. All Im asking for now is for the interest that was charged on the payment from window nation taking so long to fix things to be paid by window nation. This has been going on for over 2 months and I want the financing issues to be resolved and the post installation paperwork with the promotional gift cards that were promised to me so I can move on!!

      Business Response

Window Nation apologizes to our customers for the lack of follow-up in addressing their concerns. Window Nation did reach out to our customer on June 11, 2024, to say that we did get them the correct financing plan that was originally offered to them, along with the $100.00 gift card that they were promised and issuing the $100.00 restaurant gift card. Window Nation again apologizes for the delays in responding to their concerns.

I am rejecting this response because:

Someone did reach out to me on June 11 and offered an additional $100 gift card to cover the interest that was accrued in the 9 weeks it took for the financing to be fixed. The original **** gift card that was offered was for an amount over $200. This was offered when I was questioning the type of windows being install after the information provided during the sales pitch was incorrect. This was offered when the official measurements for the windows were being taken and the person taking the measurements was present during this conversation that was on speaker phone. As of a week later 06/17, I still have not received the $100 restaurant gift card. I still have not received post installation paperwork that was said to be mailed last week with a tracking number sent to me which I have not received either.

      Sincerely,

      ******* ******

Window Nation apologizes for any delay in resolving their concerns. Window Nation did send our customer a $100.00 gift card for any miscommunication that occurred and did request a restaurant gift card, which is being processed and normally takes 3 to 4 weeks to receive. Window Nation was not aware of the paperwork request, but we will send a hard copy by first-class mail along with a soft copy to our customer email.

March 25 2025 we entered into an agreement with window Nation. To install 14 windows. After 3 measurements on the day off the installation. May 10 the windows came with two windows. That where missed measured. I paid the remaining balance in full. With the under standing. That it would take two weeks. For the windows to be installed. Since then I've have received a run around. Window Nation customer service is non existent. In good faith I paid the bill complete. Also am still waiting for a voucher to an resort. That was promised upon final payment. I spoke to a manager who informed me that the voucher was in my email. On Wednesday or Thursday no voucher code. Try a get an answer or a person to speak too. All am asking for is the completion of the project. And the voucher code.

      Business Response

      Date: 06/11/2024

Window Nation apologizes for any frustration our customer has experienced with the purchase and installation of their windows. but would respectfully disagree with some of our customers's assertions. Of the 14 windows purchased, there were two that were mismeasured, and those were immediately ordered, and we have an ETA of June 25, 2024. Window Nation did speak to the customer regarding their voucher and was able to expedite and provide the customer with the code on June 7, 2024. Window Nation appreciates our customers' patience throughout their project.

Window Nation installed 13 windows in my home, my picture window in the foyer is defective letting in hot and cold air and has incorrect grade glass installed. I was told they offered 3 types of windows (low, med, & high grade), I selected middle grade, but was told by ***** service person they installed lowest grade window. The service contract says the I purchased the low grade not the middle grade. I would not know as a customer what codes, the sales representative use when writing up a contract. I was under the impression I purchased the middle grade window. When I questioned the salesperson about the level of window purchased he danced around for a while, but never provided an answer. When he called later, he tried to explain one of the windows was an industry standard window and was not offered by the company. I asked why you would show me industry standard window when I requested to see samples of window glass sold by Window Nation. He never responded.

After the initial conversation, I have contacted salesperson and management at Window Nation several times with no response from either. It's been more than 30 days, and the window manufacture ***** will not replace glass, because the work order has been placed on hold.

I have requested assistance to no avail. Going on two months with no response from management on resolution or suggestion for resolutions.

      Business Response

      Date: 06/06/2024

Window Nation apologizes to our customer for the lack of communication regarding their complaint. Window Nation did have sales representatives speak to our customer on April 29, 2024, and did go over the windows that they purchased and that they are our midgrade windows. The customer was shown triple panes but declined them due to the tint on the windows, which would be a darker shade. Window Nation will have sales reach out to our customers to come up with a suitable solution.

We purchased new windows in December 2023. When we first agreed to purchase the windows the account *** explained that Window Nation would not pull any credit information until Windows were installed. Which was untrue. The second issue came when one of the windows (which starts at ground level and is over 6ft tall came in and it was the incorrect window. We took this in stride and waited the almost 6 weeks for a ***lacement window. The service tech came out to install the second ***lacement window and we were told this window was not the correct size and we would be unable to lock and secure the window. This was upsetting due to our house no longer being secure, unable to lock window which someone would be able to step through and into the main level of our house, with not only two daughters who are sometimes home alone due to our work schedules but the amount of crime that is happening around us. We are also paying for a window we do not have. We attempted to contact window nation twice by email. Called customer support five times and was that a manger would call back which never happened. The sixth time I called I was placed on hold for a manger for over *********************************************************************************************************************************************************** My spouse called our account *** twice. The first time he said he was busy and he would call back by the end of the day. No call back until 5 days later and a message was left stating that the window may be in the end of June 2024. My spouse called the account *** back today and again explained the situation and the **** *** stated he does not see what the big deal is and call was disconnected. I cannot find any other contact information for Window Nation

      Business Response

Window Nation apologizes for the delays and lack of communication that our customer has experienced through this process. As the customer has pointed out, we did have to reorder her window twice due to a manufacturing error, but we do have an ETA of June 26, 2024, for the new unit. Window Nation does submit for funding once the installation is completed, and this is a service-related issue that we are addressing. Window Nation did do a service call on June 3, 2024, to address the locks, which are now operating properly. We appreciate our customer's patience throughout this experience.

Contract signed on 3/1/24 Windows installed on 4/25 Problem discovered on 4/25 and reported to the company that the windows were not as advertised We ordered swing out to clean sliding windows and got remove to clean sliders I refused to pay the balance at the time and the person on the phone said we would get it worked out.The next thing I received from them was an demand for payment. I called them and after explaining that we did not get the windows we order, the reply was you got what you ordered and fire codes don't allow for those windows in *********.. I asked for an adjustment and she replied " I am not eating this" I will give you $100 back (1.4%) I replied we may have to see what a Judge decides. Several for contact from different people called with no resolve. I then decided to email to get this in writing as so far it had all been over the phone and I did not have the names of the people who called. The same day I received an email from an attorney saying it had been turned over for collections In the mean time I was able to find prices for the same type window for less than $3000 for the 4 windows that were installed, I feel this important since I was offered a price match to sign the contract. I was not able to find prices for swing to clean windows like we ordered, but the regular windows were easy to find. I offered to pay a total of $3767 for the windows and installation based on the info found on the internet ($3169 less) That was rejected and $500 off was offered. I paid that balance to keep my good credit, but am not satisfied that I have been treated fairly. Since then I received an even lower quote from like windows in the amount of $1857 fro PlyGem through 84 Lumber. That would make installed cost for price match about 3200, a difference of $3736. If you are going to sell me a product, deliver the product, If you offer a price match then match it!

We signed a contract with window nation around May 2023 last year. The installers came to install the windows in June 2023 but were unable to complete the job as some of the windows did not fit. We submitted for grids to be added to our windows to comply with HOA regulations (we just moved into into our new home April 2023). Over the course of the past year there has been a huge back and forth about window measurements and incorrect fittings. Installers and representatives have come out at least 4 times over the past year to look into this issue. It has been 11 months and we still do not have our windows completed. It's been extremely frustrating and we feel helpless about this situation. The company keeps saying they are working on it but it's been such a long period of time we don't know if this will ever be completed. Meanwhile we have been making on time payments for an incomplete service. Please help us.

15 windows were installed on Monday, April 15th and the sales representative is *****. We agreed to replacing all windows to be Interior white/Exterior windows black, and have the windowsills replaced with wood. ***** did not order black exterior windows, but instead did list exterior black trim in the contract. We thought that meant what we had agreed to: white interior and black exterior windows. We signed the contract, but we had two change orders prior to having the windows being installed due to ***** not being able to provide us with a sample picture or communicate clearly what the windows would look like. We insisted that he come back to our home so we could discuss the look and style of the windows with him. At that time, we verbally reviewed that our order was white interior, black exterior. The windows were installed with the incorrect look, as they are white on the exterior and bordered with black trim, and they never installed the wooden windowsills. We do have damage to our ceramic tile windowsills due to the new windows being installed. ****, the sales manager, has offered that Window Nation will come to our home and put the wooden ***** in without first removing the windows, and we would be given a $1000 credit towards painting the windows black. We have gotten one professional painters quote just to see what this would cost and it was $2250, and most painters we have contacted are not interested in this type of work because the results we are seeking are difficult to accomplish and could damage the windows. **** also stated that if we wanted to get exactly what we originally asked for, black exterior windows, that would cost us an additional $18,000. None of these are acceptable resolutions to this transaction and overall we feel this was a classic, "bait and switch", such that the salesperson sold what they wanted, and the customer is left with something they never wanted in the first place, and a large balance left to pay.

      Business Response

      Date: 05/03/2024

Window Nation regrets the frustration surrounding the customer's project and any miscommunication that happened during the customer sale. ********************** spoke to our customer on April 29, 2024, and agreed to replace the windows with the correct color. Window Nation will continue to follow up and provide updates with *** on new windows, and it will continue to follow up with the customer to ensure that they are completely satisfied with the finished product.
