My brother, Mr. ******* ******* is a disabled veteran. He carried me to Harvest Fare Supermarket on, 02/22/2025. He parked in a handi capped spot and displayed his handicap display card or tag. For some reason; the car was towed. Stated that took a picture; but no one showed us a picture to verify that the sign was missing. My fresh food, phone and medication, and gloves was in the car when it was towed. We stopped the *** Police and he advised them that a fellow shopper advised my brother; saw them tow his vehicle. We called Quick Response. The sign stated ****** for Towing. It also displayed; ***** for additional days for storage. We had to pay, ****** for about maybe, a hour or less. We had no cash on hand; and they stated that could not take credit cards because their machine was down. I was forced to use their ATM machine with a 3.00 fee attached. They appeared unwilling to give card back unless it was paid in cash. Their is no signs saying, We do not accept credit cards or an apology for the inconvenience. This is a form of extortion and illegable preditory towing service.Initial Complaint

This towing company is predatory. I was going into Rite Aid to get something to keep my blood sugar up because I am a type 1 diabetic. I was parked in front of the store because my blood sugar was getting low and needed to get something to eat. I was in the store for no more than 3 to 5 minutes. When I come back out, my car was gone. This towing company is predatory because its must of been looking at my car and waiting for me. Mind you, there was barely anybody in the parking lot at all. By the way, a nice guy was helping me and let me into his car until I got everything straighten out.Ok, I get on the phone with the towing company and they give me the details. I am solely telling them that I can't pay them that much due to I just got my grandma furnace fixed and rework done on my mothers car. So, I was in a bit of a struggle. The woman was not understanding and just to continued to cut me off while I was talking. I then proceed to ask if I can come by and get my things because my grandma had a money order on her and I had my things like my wallet and medicine. Woman said no aggressively and said I had to wait until 8 to come by and get it. Mind you, I just ate something so I need to take my medicine. She continued to be rude and said, "What you want me to do about it? Your medicine will be fine". I responded, "Ok". Just ended the phone call and called my cousin to come pick me up. Fortunately, my cousin was able to help me with the funds, but I am complaining because this towing company showed no sympathy and rude service to me while I was not showing any aggression at all.I end up getting to the towing spot and paying for it because I need my car to get to work and things of that sort.Initial Complaint

on 12/18/2024 Quick Response Towing illegally towed my vehicle from an unmarked parking space. The space was in between a handicap parking space with lines for parking. There was no marking of any information concerning the space other than it was legal to park where I parked. The spaces next to my car were marked handicap. When we went to retrieve the car from the tow company, we were told that the car was towed because it was in a handicap space if that was the issue my car had a handicap sticker that is registered with the Maryland Department of Motor Vehicles in the window when the car was towed. If that is why the car was towed it was illegally towed, and I should receive my money back. This towing happened seven days before Christmas, and I believe that this towing company was out targeting people and using the disability parking space area to illegally tow cars. I'm asking that you contact this company with my complaint and hopefully there can be a resolution to resolve this issue.Initial Complaint

On November 12, 2024. I arrived for a medical appointment and spoke with the security guard about where to park. He directed me to a parking area. I left my car at 9:47 a.m, upon my return at 10:50 a.m. my car was gone. I called the tow company along with the security guard who directed me to the parking area and was told where I parked was overflow parking for ********* and I would need to pay ****** cash to retrieve my vehicle. Why is the business cash only? Why are there no signs reading " ********** overflow parking only"?This is poor business practices at best and predatory.Initial Complaint

I am contacting BBB because I would like to file a complaint against the Quick Response Towing Inc. at 531 S. Caton Ave and the ******* ** **** ** ******* **.
The signs posted around the parking lot clearly state that one must remain on property of the store in order to avoid being towed. I followed the rule and still my car got towed on October 1st 2024 at approximately noon.
I noticed a security officer at the entrance to ******* and a tow truck for QRT in the parking lot (in violation of Md. Code, Transp. § 21-10A-04 (a)(7)).
Despite having a receipt from Safeway, both entities claim that my entire party walked off property and they claim ******* made a call for the owner of my car while I was inside of the store. Neither of which happened to my or my party's recolation.
I spoke with four different people at QRT about their towing policy, as well as two different ******* employees including the manager. All six individuals gave conflicting information, including about what the signs themselves say.
When I asked for further clarification of wrongdoing and showed my receipt to QRT staff, QRT reiterated the cost of the car tow and to please hand over my license. When I asked to see my car and take pictures ensure no damage had occured (as is my right under Md. Code, Transp. § 21-10A-05 subsection (c)(3)(1)), I was told no such law exists and I could contact Baltimore City Towing Board if I had any complaints. When I asked for the Board's number QRT told me I could have it after I paid them.
When I did retrieve my car and I asked for my receipt where the Board's number would be, QRT threatened to tow me again.
I've already contacted the Baltimore City Towing Board to file a complaint with them as well.
Is there a public record of complaints against Quick Response Towing Inc? I request you forward any information you have on such an information base.
Thank you for filing my complaint.Initial Complaint

Quick response towing steals tenants cars late at night. I have videos. I see them doing it. They have spotters who come up here with a flashlight looking to get into people's cars to take their permit and then the tow truck comes and gets it. They have the worst reviews . And all the reviews are basically the same STEALING CARS. THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN . ****Initial Complaint

This business (or more accurately, a racketeering organization) hires spotters to sit outside of designated lots and call the tow company when there is a supposed violation. My car was parked at 2:45, and towed at 3:01. There were two men hanging out around the parking lot, not doing anything but talking and watching. Additionally, the business did not get Authorization from the property owner to tow, had a damaged sign in the lot which did not display the information required by law, and did not inform the police department of the towing incident. This company should be shut down and should have its license revoked. It is a criminal enterprise that the city government has not yet shut down. They exist entirely for the purpose of preying on people. The government needs to protect the people from criminals like these.Business Response

We dont typically answer complaints like this due to the nature of criminal accusations that are clearly not true. I would advise that this person file charges in court so that I can counter sue with camera and audio evidence. Thank you****** *****************************Initial Complaint

Dear Quick Response Towing,
I am writing to you in the hopes of resolving this matter between us without having to go to court.
On Thursday July 18, 2024, my KIA Sorento was towed from ******** while I was still inside the ******** establishment or within the parking lot. I am seeking to retrieve the $370 towing fees that I unjustly paid.
I want to believe that this can still be solved without having to take the legal route. That said, I must inform you that if I do not hear from you by July 27, 2024 then I will have no other choice but to take legal action against you. In the event of a lawsuit, I intend to seek redress to the fullest extent allowed by law, including but not limited to additional damages, court costs, legal fees, and accrued interest.
I would much prefer to work something out with you. Please consider my request.
Sincerely,
