I received a bill in late spring 2024 from MRC Mediation Recovery Center for an unexplained bill from 2019. I responded by mail requesting details but heard nothing back. I received another bill in July, 2024 with a 30-day deadline, so I called for details. They sent a copy of a rudimentary bill from 2019, showing me having a 50% copay on medical equipment I received at the time. I was told at the time that insurance covered it, and I have never been billed. I called FloridaBlue, my insurer, and they cannot retrieve records that old. However, they said my copay on such equipment at the time would have been only 20%, and I was at my max payout for the year regardless. The surgeon's office could also not confirm this was legitimate. MRC offered a discount for quick payment that would not give me sufficient time to determine the legitimacy of the bill. Therefore, given multiple similar complaints, the time lag between the service and the first I've heard of the bill, and the pressure to pay quickly, I can only conclude this is a scam. With the recent health record data breaches, I suspect data scraping to try to fool me into paying something I do not owe.Business Response

****************************** Ph: ************. Received letter in mail from Mediation Recovery Center dated 8/5/24 stating my National Durable Medical debt obligation is significantly past due Current creditor EMS Funding Solutions. Current balance ********. No date of transaction or equipment in question listed. I have no idea who National Durable Medical is nor have I ever received a bill from them or done business with them. This letter also offered the following repayment options which expire on 8/30/24: Monthly payments of *****/month towards entire balance of ******** (Discount) or one time payment of ******** (Discount) If I wish to take advantage of this I must contact them by 8/30/24. After that dateWe are not obligated to renew these offers I have not responded to the letter. From what I have read this company has a pattern of this behavior of unsubstantiated claims especially toward seniors. Additionally I check my credit reports religiously and there is no outstanding debt listed anywhere on it for ******** to National Durable Medical. My FICO score has not been impacted by this supposed ******** significantly past due debt. Please resolve this. Thank You!Business Response

Received a letter from MRC demanding $500.000 for a "Delinquent" medical bill. Called the health organization that they stated I owed money too, and it was confirmed by the hospital that I was never seen there. MRC was unable to provide any supporting documenting or information regarding what i was billed for.Business Response

I received a letter from MRC in Dekalb that I owe a very past due amount of money to National Durable Medical. To my knowledge, this is not true...have never received any such billing. All my med. bills are paid by ******** and my secondary insurance. Is this a scam? There is little info on the letter. The letter also has the BBB icon at the bottom with an A+ rating.....but online that seems to be false.Help.Business Response

I received two bills from MRC on behalf of National Durable Medical one for $1595.09 and one for $1704.36. These people have supposedly reached out about this, but I never received a bill or invoice detailing what these charges were about. I called their customer service number and supposedly this person had my file without asking for any information (account number or anything) and when I asked for an invoice I never received one. I had knee surgery in October 2020. All medical bills associated with this surgery were paid in full. I have all documentation associated with this procedure.Business Response

Mediation Recovery Center (MRC) is sending me statement attempting to get me to pay a bill I do not owe. These actions are unacceptable and need to be stopped. This is a fraud and should be reported. I have not used them or my medical team . I have private health insurance that would not use them.Business Response

I keep receiving calls from Mediation Recovery Center telling me that I owe a debt for an CashNet USA from 2010. At first they refused to send me any other information and just kept telling me I needed to pay or they were taking me to court. I told them that I have no outstanding debt with any payday loan company. I would happily provide my bank statements showing I never received the loan in question. They refused and told me I had to pay or they were going to file a suit against me. This *** character yelled that if I didnt take the loan then who did and that I need to pay the debt that is owed to CashNet USA. I have not taken a loan with them as he proceeded to read my ssn over the phone. I asked for a letter to be mailed to me with the current address they have on file. Instead of mailing me a letter as I requested, I received a vry informal email with no information on when this loan was taken out by me. I want the calls to stop and the threats to stop as well to damage my credit.Business Response

I received an email from this company today, after also receiving a phone call. The email falsely states a voicemail was left. There is and never was anything left after the call that came from ************. The email states there is some random outstanding amount due to ********************* Center, but there is not any documentation and nothing has been sent to me to prove that there is anything outstanding due by me and if there is, that it was correctly sent to my insurance company for payment.Business Response

I received a notice from MRC stating I owe a debt to National Durable Medical from a surgery back in 2018. I never used this provider. Ive kept all records from past surgeries and all bills were paid. I believe this is fraud, especially given the numerous other reports with the same description.Business Response

I received a phone call 7/24/24 and subsequent email from MRC that they were collecting on an outstanding debt for medical equipment issued to me in March 2020. I have never received a bill from the original company, National Durable Medical Equipment. It is past the 4 years statute of limitation on medical bills in PA as well. From research I've done it appears this is a new scam and they have stollen data from the medical equipment company.I'm also a bit concerned that they have my op. report and all the medical information from my surgery which would be a HIPPA violation so any advice on that would be appreciated.Business Response
