      I purchased a groupon for an oil change at Valvoline. When I got the service and paid, I was told by the merchant that their location doesn't accept groupon because they've had issues with retrieving their funds from the third party. However, I used the same Groupon the oil change prior . I had to pay for my service out of pocket. I have been going back and forth with groupon for a while now and have no resolution. I just want my money refunded. I use groupon all the time. Groupon Order # **********

      Regarding your complaint:  I'm sorry to hear that the Groupon was not honored in the location you visited.
       
      From your previous conversation, I can see that the location you visited to redeem the Groupon is: ********************************************************************
       
      I checked the deal page and I can see that this Groupon you purchased can be redeemed in 14 different locations only and the address you visited ******************************************************************* is unfortunately, not a part of the redemption location. Hence Groupon was not honored.
       
      I've attached the screenshot of the deal page which shows the 14 locations and you need to click on each location on the map to get the address.
       
      In general, it is not our policy to refund the Groupon that is outside the cancellation window. Here is the refund policy's link for your reference: ****************************************************************

      I am rejecting this response because: Good Evening! I have just discovered that there was an update on the above referenced complaint. Groupon offered a credit in Groupon Credit only. However, I am not in ****** with this offer since I no longer plan to do business with them. This issue was immediately reported and handled very unprofessionally. Therefore, I do not plan to do future business with them. In addition to that, when ********* denied the Groupon, they did inform and confirm that Groupon will refund me, and that they have this issue often. Thank You!

      Feb 26, 2024 approx 3:30PM EST Order Number 1000-147237-024387 Total Cost: $141.00 Was supposed to be $111.45 Discount Code: ' MISSYOU' seen on website and during checkout process On February 26 I purchased two tours from Groupon. I did extensive research and found Groupon would be the cheapest because of their extra 'MISSYOU' discount. When I clicked 'pay/purchase' to finalise my purchase the total said $111.45. When my alert on my bank card came up at $141 I realised something on the backend of Groupon happened and I immediately reached out to correct the issue. The only remedy they have is to provide me with a credit. This is unacceptable as I made no error and would have NEVER used Groupon if not for it being the cheapest option. I also have no interest in using Groupon in the future. I have been back and forth with the company since that day.At this point the only remedy is a full refund and I told them this today (March 11)

      Regarding your complaint: I'm sorry to hear that your promo code "MISSYOU" was not applied at check-out.
       
      I could see that we offered Groupon Bucks for the difference and later this amount was refunded to the card used, but the transaction failed.
       
      In this case, we are unable to process the partial refund of $30 back to the card used. I want to resolve this for you as soon as possible, so I'll need some more information to get to the bottom of this.
       
      For an alternative form of refund, Ive requested more specific refund details in my direct email to you. If you have any additional questions, please reply to me there.

      I purchased 4 snow tubing vouchers for $164 from Groupon.com on 12/20/2023. They had dates when the ticket was not valid in the fine print but the date 1/3/2024 was not one of them. When I attempted to buy the ticket using the voucher for 1/3/2024 the date was greyed out. I checked **************************************************** site and found nothing wrong, I can buy tickets for 1/3/2024 if I do it directly from them. I went ahead and purchased the tickets directly from the merchant for $236, and then I reached out to Groupon via chat and asked to get my money refunded. I just literally purchased the tickets moments ago, and the charge was not even yet cleared by my credit company. They refused it and told me that a supervisor would get back to me in 24 hours. It took them 5 days to get back to me. They refused a refund stating that they have no control over life events if they are cancelled it is too bad. What? First of all, this is not a concert, the voucher was for a ride running regularly every day in the wintertime. Second, it was not canceled at all. I was able to buy the ticket for the same day and time I tried to use the voucher bought from Groupon. This is a total rip-off. Now I spent $400 to slide down the hillside of the Poconos'. Attempted to dispute the charge through my credit company but they were told that the product I purchased was delivered as promised. Which is BS. It was not working as it was intended. They had false advertisements of the blackout dates. Their customer service is a joke. You can't call them. You are at the mercy of a rep getting back to you. This is my last resort to get my money back, I was cheated out of.

      I bought 2 Groupons for car detailing for my two cars for what turned out to be fraudulent businesses with no address, phone number, way to enforce the deal. I had texted the number before buying the Groupons and he said he would schedule me and then has completely ignored and blocked my number since initial contact. I have reached out to Groupon repeatedly and they say I need to resolve with the business and they will not refund for the fraudulent business they are advertising.

If you're not seeing it, I recommend checking your spam folder to make sure our emails aren't ending up there. Please note:
       
      Refunds issued to a credit or debit card appear as a refund from Groupon, Inc. Please note that it can take your bank a few days to route the funds correctly and post them to your account. If it's been longer than 10 business days, you'll need to check with the claims department of your bank directly.

      If your refund was processed to an alternative form of payment, such as Apple *********** Pay, or PayPal, and it's been longer than 10 business days since the refund was issued, please contact your payment processor to check on its status.

      I purchased a groupon for $45 for photography headshots. Initially the photographer (merchant) was responding to me but then stopped altogether. I have not heard from her since February 20th. This is a service I needed somewhat soon. Groupon initially said they would not refund my money (the customer service rep then just shut down a chat on me after saying I would not get ar efund). I emailed them and they said they would look into it and "explore refund options". They followed up asking for the merchant's email address and contact dates, so I provided those, but are not following through on refunding me. I've emailed several times and today, I spoke to someone in chat today and he said again said they will follow up, but I am not getting any promising communication or customer service.

      I purchased a Groupon for a hairstylist who I thought was able to come to my home. I was run over by a car and have been unable to get out. I contacted Groupon to confirm this and didnt hear back. When I tried canceling it or trading it in for another one I was told it wasnt possible, without explanation, even though this has been offered to me before.

      I've just canceled this order and issued a refund in Groupon Bucks to your account. You'll receive a confirmation email as soon as they have processed.
       
      These Bucks are available immediately and never expire. You can check your balance any time from your My Groupons page.
       
      When you're ready to use your Bucks, make sure they apply to your purchase at checkout. Just check the box next to Apply available Groupon Bucks under Payment Method, and the number of Bucks in your account will be deducted from your total.

      On December 24th 2023 I had purchased a vacation package from Groupon to stay at the hyatt when I arrived at the hotel to check in the hotel stated that they didn't have any reservations for me and that they don't even accept Groupon reservations for the exact same reason of the issue that I was going through I tried to find a customer service number for ********************** to call but non exists so I had to speak to them through their virtual chat when speaking with first rep they disconnected the chat while I was explaining what was going on so then I started a new chat with a different rep who stated I needed to just be calm and wait 6-12hrs for them to resolve my issue and said also even though the money had been taking from my account that it was not showing on their end and to be patient and wait and then they disconnected the chat as well so the I started a new chat with a 3rd rep and they said the same exact thing as the second rep THANK GOD I SCREENSHOT ALL OF THE CONVERSATIONS!!!!! So at this point the hotel said that nothing could be done they and the only thing that they could do was check me in directly through the hotel but I was unable to do that because Groupon had charged my card for ***** and I didn't have additional cash so I had to stay with family! So after all of this I tried to request a refund from Groupon and was completely ignored so I filed a dispute with my bank in which Groupon lied a stated that I never showed up to the or attempted to redeem my Groupon which is completely false and now my bank is saying to me this is their exact words GROUPON SCAMMED YOU AND THAT'S ON ME Groupon has not only scammed me for ***** but also are now MAKING FALSE STATEMENTS TO A FINANCIAL INSTITUTION!!!!! I WANT MY REFUND IMMEDIATELY I'm literally baffled at how this company is allowed to remain open pulling scams like this I know if it was done to me it could be done to other's this isn't their first time and definitely not their last!!!!!

      I received an email from Groupon asking my opinion on a Mar 4, 2024 visit to DermalAbrasion located at ***********, ********** **. I decided to do a Groupon Chat with ******** as neither did I recall purchasing this service nor did I visit it on Mar 4th. She refused to refund my credit card and in turn I called DermalAbrasion. They confirmed I wasn't there on Mar 4th. I emailed back ****** letting her know and asked her to contact them. As far as I know, she didn't call them. She told me Groupon is not refunding my money. In turn, told her I will report Groupon to BBB. Feel I deserve my refund as she wouldn't identify the last 4-digits of my credit card nor would she provide any information. It would be appreciated if you could intervene asking Groupon to credit back my charge card. I have records of the correspondence with Groupon so if you'd like, please provide an email I can forward to you.

      This company sells a product called groupon select for 4.99 a month and it doesn't honor it. I expect it to be honored. SCAMMERS
