On Thursday, January 11, 2024, we received notification from VRBO that they had double booked our vacation rental at ************** in ******* that was scheduled for Friday, January 12, 2024, and were unable to provide lodging for a family vacation that was reserved since October 2, 2023. So, at 9 pm on Thursday, January 11, 2024, we googled and booked another lodging thru Groupon at ************** (same location). When we booked the reservation stayed in the Pending reservation all evening on Thursday. On Friday morning, we checked again, and it remained in the Pending state. We began to become concern and attempted to contact Groupon. There is no phone number listed on the Groupon website. We attempted to call the ************, the Groupon number listed with my pending charge on the credit card transaction. This number is not legitimate and actual forwards you to a mens health agency.We proceed to call two times Magic Villages by *******, once at 9 am and once at noon, and they continued to state that there was no reservation made by Groupon or anyone else under the name *************************. The gentlemen at *************** provided another number ************ for Groupon, which was also a bogus phone number. We also sent an e-mail to Groupon and the auto response noted that we might receive a response in 4 days. We did not have 4 days! We were catching a flight from ****** to ******* and needed resolution. We have spent countless hours trying to confirm our reservation that remained in the Pending state at a time when we were trying to get our final things in order for an airline flight to *******, *******. At this point, we called CITI cards and told them not to allow the charge to go thru. We had no other choice but to rebook at yet another location thru Booking.com that instantly provided a confirmation and reservation number. We do not have 4 days to confirm for a trip that was booked less than 24 hours from arrival in *******. Groupon should have provided a timely confirmation. This trip was not booked out in advance and did not allow for Groupon to take days to provided a reservation number.Business Response

I checked and see that you've reached our Groupon Press and the issue was taken care of. The order was refunded to the card used for the purchase on 04/19/2024.

If it's been longer than 10 business days, you'll need to check with the claims department of your bank directly.

I have contacted groupon on several occasions because the merchant does not answer the phone. I have left countless messages with the merchant. Groupon says they contacted merchant and merchant says " they have spoken to customer" this isn't true. If you call number provided by groupon for merchant the phone rings and goes to voicemail to which you never get a response.Business Response

I bought a groupon for a hot stone massage. When I tried to schedule it the business said they are no longer providing this service and have not offered a groupon since before covid.I have sent several emails, I attempted to call and the phone numbers and they do not reach groupon. I raised refund requests with ****** via chat and email within weeks of originally purchasing. All businesses were not able to provide the services or I was not able to travel to them and they stated they would refund. For one business, they marked my Groupon as redeemed although I had never visited their facility. When I approached them on this, they stated that "it was fine", but Groupon is now struggling to fully refund me over this.Groupon, please provide a refund (not Groupon Bucks - I have contacted your team within policy multiple times since purchasing and need a full refund) on any unredeemed Groupons from 2023. None have been used, and you can contact the businesses to confirm the same. I have already contacted you through every channel and your support team has refused to respond. Please advise why this is as I have to feel comfortable purchasing through your site in the future.Lastly, please advise why a business was allowed to mark a Groupon as redeemed in this manner. Please file a complaint and confirm the same as no business should be practicing this way. It was clearly to be paid out by Groupon without delivering services. I believe my Groupon code was provided to them when scheduling, but the appointment was cancelled.If this is not resolved, I will need to credit card dispute. 1. ******************** VS-39SG-HG6K-P2V9-GXJM, 48867442, $25.00. Required purchase of glasses which I did not want to do so paid directly instead.
2. Ellehomme Holistic Med Spa. VS-3HWJ-MG1H-RX5V-4ZVK, 49955008, $263.20. Would not honor the area needed for treatment (said it was too specialized for the Groupon).
3. Be Beautiful Med Spa. VS-VCJK-9NGW-FB52-KT6Z, 42731114, $1,199.20, 10/21/23. Located out-of-state and I was unable to travel to their location. They also marked the Groupon as used although Ive never been there. When I approached them on this, they said that it was fine.
4. MetaForm Health & Fitness. VS-9WPL-HVFN-JFBY-2HJJ, 18295717, $287.20. Said I was not a candidate after an in-person consultation.Sincerely,

I swear to the good Lord above, I will never use Groupon again. My husband is a boxer and had an upcoming fight so he booked a massage Groupon months in advance. When the time came, we called the business like 3 days ahead to schedule and no answer on every One of those days. We tried our luck and just showed up on a Saturday morning and the doors are locked. But their business hours are Monday - Sunday 9am - 10pm. We decided to contact Groupon so we could be credited and just purchase another Groupon. This lady is asking me how I know the business is closed like I didnt say multiple times k was sitting right in front of it. All in all, they say the Groupon is non refundable and all she can do is escalate the case internally and we have to wait 7 days. It took yall minutes to take the money of the account if that. How do you fault a customer when the business isnt honoring their hours? I dont even want the credit anymore, just give us the money back.I would give groupon. ZERO stars if even possible. On 4/1/2024 I placed order#VS-2226-VKZP-6PC9-79J1 via Groupon for 4Romeo. They are doing shady business. I never received my order. Reached out to Groupon numerous times as well as the vendor. ****** says pay 69 and we will reship. Groupon says sorry but here is 7 in Groupon bucks. Basically took my money for an order I never received. Groupon wont stand behind me a long time customer and assist me in A. Getting my order reshipped for real this time or B. Giving me my money back. My order never came. I went and checked with neighbors and no order. I bought 3 groupons. One company told me they refuse to honor groupons because groupon has taken it upon themselves to make there own groupons wirh out company's permission. The other groupon, I made an appointment and the lady called and cancelled, but the groupon said it was already used. I can no longer get the service I paid for on that. Third groupon( bought all in the same time) turned MD away as well and claimed same thing, groupon is making there own groupons to sell. I received an email confirming my purchase of 4 tickets to an event in **************** in ************ for April 6. I never made these purchases. I filed a complaint with Groupon and PayPal, both of whom told me those cases were closed and I made those purchases. I did not! I am rejecting this response because:
I already contacted PayPal, who rejected and closed my case stating that Groupon is responsible for the fraudulent charges. Groupon accepted the purchase and charged my PayPal account. Im so angry that no one will take responsibility for this. I notified both companies immediately after I received an alert and email right after the purchase was fraudulently made and they had time to fix it, but neither party would do anything about it. What are my options?
