Biolife is advertising $850 to plasma donors on ********* I've donated through them before they give you between $35-$45 dollars maximum. That's literally lieing to people and potentially bait and switching anyone who sees the ad. I confronted them and they clearly don't care. I get donating plasma is important but that's beyond shady and unethical and they need ** be held accountable for it.Initial Complaint

Husband is computer illiterate needed help on kiosk they said no one can help him he tried to answer a question it would not take his answer of no he tried several times a nurse was supposed to help him *** showed him ***** left the kiosk timed out and they refused to let him donate he went there for money got a ride and was turned away idk if was his age or color I will contact an attorneyInitial Complaint

I attempted to sign up to give plasma for pay. Unfortunately I was not accepted because of tattoos. I asked that my personal information be deleted from their files since I would not be doing business with them. They said no, that the information is theres to keep in there database. When I asked to speak to someone they said to contact corporate through the internet site. No phone number or email. Just a questionnaire that they will maybe respond to.Initial Complaint

April 3 2022 apparently I was accused of recording the employees at BIOLIFE at *************************************************************** and was permanently differed from Donating Plasma.I have no idea who or why this was made about me but I am asking for physical proof of this.The last time I was there was in March of 2022 so I really don't understand any of this. But I will say that with the comment's made against and the deferment being untrue leads to Slander,Harassment, and filing a false statement.So I am asking that they show evidence in this and not hearsay and Remove my Deferment.Initial Complaint

On 11-16-23 I was in severe pain as I took 6 pain medication as they refused to address my medical issue which started at 5pm and I was not allowed to seek medical attention from the hospital until after 8pm and did not get out until 4am. I also recieved a doctor's note to excuse me from that shift at 7:30am which I explained to **** (Assistant manager) upon leaving the hospital as I haven't eaten since 1pm the day before and only got an hour and fifty-two minutes of rest. Then on the 22nd of November I was covering a shift for another employee and they used me to get through the huge rush that day and then proceeded to fire me for seeking medical attention in which they caused my ovarian cyst to rupture by ignoring my health and needing medical attention and over working me while I was in extreme pain to where the Donors were even saying I needed to go to the hospital because I could barely walk. I informed my Boss (****) that I'd like to request the video footage from 11-16-23 as in the video you would see the severity of the medical situation that they failed to address resulting in injury to me. He stated that they are pretty strict and is unsure if they will be willing to provide such as it would clearly show the neglect on their behalf as a medical center.Initial Complaint

November 19th at around 2pm I went to donate plasma. I was stuck with the needle and then it was adjusted 4 times, I filled the compartment with blood and was trying to get a good return which wasnt the case. They pushed the return so we could then try my other arm which I agreed to until the first needle was removed and I was then proceeded by being covered in my own blood. The girl who had removed my needle was not covering the puncture site correctly which caused blood to go all over my arm, the seat, my clothes, and the floor. I was then told it was not a lot of blood and I would be fine, but being covered in my blood did not make me have the want to then stick my other arm and risk a repeat. I was sticky and wet and wanted to go home to change.I was told I was still going to be paid the total amount for the donation which would have been $80. When I then checked my account after the fact I was only given $20 and the donation didnt count. I find this odd that I have been stuck before and was still paid when they didnt get ANY viable plasma before and now suddenly this is different. I was scared and did not want to continue.By the time I made it home which was about 20 minutes later I had passed out. When I called to talk to a manager on site she threw blame onto me and when I asked to file a complaint she said go ahead and do that your own way if need be and hung up on me without helping with the complaint.When I reached out to the owning company I heard nothing.Initial Complaint

I was refused my rights as a disabled person. I told them from the go that I was disabled. I was told I could have my wife in the room with me. So when I asked ******* told me no my wife is not allowed I said I'm disabled and would like my wife in the room. ******* precided to tell me no. Then I was denied to give a donation because of my disabilities. **** the manager told me I could donate and also that my wife was allowed in the room. They where disrespectful. All I have to say is I'm disabled and they violated my rights. Offered no compensation for my time. And treated me like a piece of ************ I'm not suing them.Initial Complaint

11/9/202 I scheduled an appoint with Biolife Plasma. I emailed once and called twice into their center twice to ask if my autoimmune condition AS is eligible to donate, so I don't waste my time coming in, nor giving out my personal information to a private company if I don't have to. I was not given an accurate or truthful l response in the calls or email about my question. I was told that it's unknown whether I can donate, and I had to come in to do a physical with the nurse to determine eligibility for my condition. After spending 100 minutes, I sat down with the nurse for literally one minute. I told her I had AS, she did not what it was and looked it up. It took her about 15 seconds to tell me that condition makes you ineligible to donate at Biolife regardless of circumstance. It was that simple. There was no physical or medical necessity for me having to talk to a nurse, or waste 100minutes of my time when this question could have be answered directly at any time I asked. ****************** and other organizations do permit donations with autoimmune disorders depending on their current state, so for these organizations it might make sense.If Biolife has a list of conditions are ineligible, I understand and I respect that. However, when a patient is disclosing a condition and asking for eligibility requirements, that Biolife has a direct answer to, that information should be disclosed at that time. I talked to the manager at the center after words, and I was told Biolife's policy is not reveal conditions that make you ineligible because people can then try to hide it. 1) This is irrelevant because I already disclosed a condition, and the information was withheld from me, luring me into their center. 2) This is contradictory to their own company policy itself. They disclose many conditions that will make you ineligible such as HIV, hepatitis, having paid ***, recent tattoos, gay ***, etc, etc, some of which can be hidden and impossible to know.Initial Complaint

I went to Biolife in ******* ***** to donate after I saw a promotional advertisement. After waiting for 2 1/2 hours I was told I could not donate due to a medication I take. I had called ahead to be sure this was ok. Oh absolutely! Come right in. Turns out they lied. So for over two hours they wasted my time knowni could not donate. Then I was given a voucher for $50 for my time. And they then refused to honor the voucher they had just given me.Initial Complaint

Re: Biolife located in *******, ** on ***********. This facility is understaffed and putting donors at risk. Staff is complaining about the stress, limited help and excessive appointments scheduled. Multiple workers are missing veins regularly. There needs to be an investigation on this facility practices
