I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against BioLife Plasma Services located at *************************************************** .On August 12, 2025, I had a scheduled plasma donation appointment at this facility. However, I received an unexpected email notification indicating that my appointment had been canceled. Upon logging into my BioLife account, I discovered that the funds from my previous donations, which I had been saving for essential expenses such as transportation to work, were no longer available.I attempted to contact the ************** multiple times at their listed phone number, ************** , but my calls went unanswered. This lack of communication and the unexplained disappearance of my funds have caused significant inconvenience and financial strain.I kindly request the BBB's assistance in addressing this matter. Specifically, I seek:A thorough investigation into the unauthorized cancellation of my appointment. An explanation for the missing funds from my BioLife account.Assurance that such incidents will be prevented in the future.I have attached relevant documentation, including screenshots of the cancellation email and my account's transaction history, to support my complaint.Thank you for your attention to this matter. On August 4, 2025, I donated plasma at the BioLife Plasma Center located at ********************************************************************. I was supposed to receive a specific compensation amount for my donation, but I was shorted $10.When I brought this issue to the attention of the manager on duty, Highly, I was treated with extreme rudeness and disrespect. Not only did she refuse to correct the payment issue, but she also dismissed my concerns without explanation or effort to investigate. Her conduct was unprofessional and showed a lack of care for donor rights.I followed all procedures, arrived on time, and completed the donation in good faith. It is completely unacceptable to be underpaid and then mistreated when asking for clarification. Donors like myself give up time and energy to support these centers, and we expect to be treated with fairness and professionalism.Initial Complaint

08/03/2025 BioLife plasma Services ****************,******** I was sitting at a computer when I received a call from a potential employer. A staff member approached and politely told me that phone use wasnt allowed, so I began to respectfully end the call. While I was in the process of ending the call, another employee named ******** came up and rudely said, You cant be on your phonewe just told you. I calmly explained that I was already disengaging and that it was a sensitive conversation. She responded loudly and dismissively, saying, Well how was I supposed to know? and caused an unnecessary scene.I felt publicly embarrassed, disrespected, and uncomfortable. I have been donating with BioLife for over a year as part of a humanitarian effort and have never experienced this kind of treatment at any location before. This incident has made me lose trust in this specific center, and I no longer feel comfortable returning. I am seeking a formal apology and assurance that staff will be trained on professionalism, sensitivity, and communication when addressing donorsespecially when confidential matters are involved.Initial Complaint

Im writing to express my concern regarding the treatment I experienced during my recent visit as a donor. Upon arrival, I was given instructions by a staff member, which I followed precisely. However, another employee approached me in a rude and confrontational manner, demanding, Why are you here? When I explained that I was instructed to be in that area, they responded dismissively, saying I dont care. I mentioned that I was a new donor and simply doing what I was told, but instead of assisting, they redirected me to a location I shouldn't have been in.This exchange caused confusion and made it appear as if I was being disruptive or defiantwhen in truth, I was complying with what I had been told. The original staff member then returned me to the initial area, which heightened the tension and made it seem like I was trying to cause a scene. This type of misunderstanding and bias seems to be a recurring issue. I was previously deferred due to a similar interaction and even submitted a complaint at that time. Now, with new staff members in place, the same behavior persists. During this recent visit, I requested to speak with a manager but was made to wait for over an hour without any attention or follow-up, ultimately leading me to leave without resolution.I am kindly requesting that my deferral status be reviewed and restored, as there seems to be no documented reason for it. Additionally, I ask that this ongoing pattern of biased treatment toward donors be addressed. A physical staff member even recommended I escalate this matter to corporate due to the seriousness of the issue.Thank you for taking the time to review this. I would appreciate a response and resolution.Incident occurred at my appt time of 2pm 7/30/25 advanced scheduled the online systems ******* was the aggressor and had to receive an apology by other staff members not ******* till I was leaving than ******* said sorry for that attempt to agitate me regretfully same incident as first.Business Response

Complaint Regarding Donation Experience at BioLife Center, *************** Dear *********** am writing to formally file a complaint regarding my recent experiences at the BioLife Center in ******, **. I have encountered several issues during my visits to donate plasma, which I find deeply concerning.Firstly, I have noticed recurrent problems with the handling and processing during my donation sessions. Staff does not change gloves between people after performing a finger poke blood test. Only at my request did they change gloves, continued to wear the same pair for following clients. Disinfection of blood test equipment does not follow proper wet to dry times for ********* alcohol. Staff changes workstations with continued use of same gloves. Physical examination by nurse: credentials unknown, not clearly displayed on their badge. Inaccurate exam procedure for what they stated they were examining for. Donation process: no changing of gloves or hand washing/sanitizing prior to inserting a 1617-gauge needle. Tech only changed gloves at my request, did not for other clients. Infection prevention, safety and guidelines set forth by ****, ***, **** and other regulatory boards are blatantly being ignored. During registration I was told they needed to verify my address and needed my social security number. I heard the staff member say ***** Nexis and I asked what they search is ***** Nexis. I was told they do verification and a soft credit check. I did not authorize a credit check, nor did their form mention a credit check. The staff member asked another staff member who said there isnt a credit check. A credit check was accessed by this company without consent.Business Response

Date of incident: 19 July, 2025 Location: BioLife Plasma Services, *******, ** I spent over 3 hours commuting and waiting to donate. When it was finally my turn, the staff pricked my finger and applied a tight bandage. During the blood pressure check, I mentioned the bandage was too tight. Instead of pausing the reading or helping me, the technician told me to open and fix it myself while the cuff was ************ no point was I instructed to sit properly or told that I needed to stay still, keep my back supported, feet flat, or arm at heart level, which are all basic requirements for an accurate blood pressure reading. I moved my arm several times, trying to fix the bandage and respond to the technician. Naturally, the blood pressure reading was affected. On the second reading, my ** was normal, but my heart rate was slightly elevated. I was disqualified from donating. I tried to explain that the first reading was mishandled and that I was never told how to sit or avoid movement, but the nurse just said we have strict guidelines and that nothing could be done. While waiting for my sister (who was donating), I was told to leave the building. When I explained the situation, the staff threatened to call the police and security if I didnt leave, even though they had just flagged my vitals. This entire situation could have been prevented if staff had provided even the most basic instruction or support. Instead, I left with a headache, anxiety, and a wasted day. I am requesting a formal review of the incident, staff retraining on proper vitals protocol, and the opportunity to return for donation under appropriate conditions.Initial Complaint

Discrimination, based off of false accusations. Ive been going to biolife for quite some time and never had any issues with the phlebotomist. Dont remember the exact day I last went it but it was right before closing the phlebotomist I saw seemed like they were in a bad mood, so as per usual I ask for specific people and the person I asked for was unavailable, I went ahead and asked for *** or the Asian chick, that was in front me on the other side of the partition. And the girl I was talking too kept asking who after I pointed directly at the Asian girl and had an attitude. And then when I went back to try to donate they said I was banned from dating for using racial slurs. When Ive never used any racial slurs period let alone with my of the phlebotomist Ive encountered. I have reached multiple times to the business, thru phone and email and never got an answer let alone an email back. This happened earlier in the year and have been trying to reach everyone since without luck.
