I donated blood plasma at BioLife in *********,** My 2 complaints are:1) On July ******* I was mistreated by one of the employees who didnt insert the needle correctly, she was hurrying to end her shift. I was in pain and blood was oozing out around the puncture point, another employee had to reset the needle. I tried to complain to the manager but the only method of communication was phone and email. No one called me even though I left many messages to a manager-only mailbox. On my next visit an assistant manager told mewe dont answer phone calls, email *** tried emailing but my complaints were never addressed, I would finally receive emails 5-7 days later.Complaint #2) Apparently my blood was too fatty/too much protein once when I tried to donate(after 3 successful donations)But I wasnt told this, just blocked from donating. After seeing the block removed I assumed i could donate-wrong! I showed up to donate but was told I had to give a blood sample and wait a week. This process happened twice because my sample was lost(?) no one really knew, I couldnt donate, I had to give another ********* information was given about the 2nd blood sample, I had to drive an hour(one way) to get any information!Today,August 15th, I finally got an email saying my 2nd sample would be tested by tomorrow so I can plan to donate again on 8.18.2025 I replied demanding compensation for the hours of wasted time and money spent because of no communication. I was told I am permanently banned because of hostilityI now see other similar negative reviews online of this BioLife *********** complaints are injury both physically and financially by bad management and customer service. I have the emails from ********************** to back up my mistreatment, I also have my call log proving how many times I tried to receive information before wasting 2 hours driving there and back home.This location has horrible management, that allows customers to be mistreated, they should be shutdown.Initial Complaint

I was denied receiving blood back. An further deferred due to employee being upset due to improper stick. I've done the EXACT same things in my life for over 80 visits with NO ISSUES as such. I politely told the nurse before she began to inject the needle that if she did feel comfortable we could try the other arm. As the donation continued, I noticed a NO FLOW INDICATOR. THE machine gave that notification for exactly 10 minutes before I was even checked on again. I'm asking for a speedy resolution. It was done in spite an it's unfair to donors who've helped as many people as I have, to now be denied that opportunity because an employee was having a bad morning.Initial Complaint

This is a complaint against BioLife Plasma Services regarding an unjust administrative hold on my donor account that has lasted 16 days, from 7/31/25, to the present. This hold has prevented me from donating and has resulted in significant financial and personal losses.The issue began on Thursday, 7/31/25, when my account was flagged in the **** after I visited a different plasma facility for a protein screening, but DID NOT DONATE. I even presented my arms to show there was no venipuncture site. This non-donating visit triggered an account freeze, despite my being fully eligible. I was also told your computers were down.On the morning of 8/2/25, I called 16 times to confirm the issue was resolved but couldn't reach anyone. I then traveled to the ***** for my scheduled afternoon donation and was again denied. On 8/5/25, I called 62 times ahead of my scheduled donation and spoke with a manager, *******, who assured me I would be able to donate. Upon arrival, I was again denied.Since Tuesday, 8/12/25, I have made over 180 calls, left 4 voicemails, sent 4 messages through your website, and left a message relayed through a nurse. No manager has ever returned my call. Excuses provided have included being "in an audit" and "waiting on emails" from every plasma center in the Tri-state.This negligence has caused me to miss 5 scheduled donations. As I am only working part-time, this lost income is a severe *********** losses are as follows:Lost Income: $310 from 5 missed donations. Due to the donation limit, these 5 missed donations represent an unrecoverable loss.Lost Time: Approx. 9 hrs spent on 3 trips to the ************* Costs: $17.40 in subway fares.Lost Bonus: My New Donor Bonus is expiring due to the delay.I am requesting the following:Immediate action to unfreeze my donor account.Fair compensation for the $310 in lost donations and $17.40 in travel costs.Reinstatement of my New Donor Bonus, expiring as a direct result of BioLife's inaction.Initial Complaint

Im writing to complain about my experience at BioLife plasma center yesterday on August 13th , 2025. I arrived for my appointment on time, did my questions and got in line. Waited to get a the booth , passed and everything was good. I get to the donar floor and here comes trouble.. this young lady proceeds to tell me we have to make sure i have two veins in my left arm because my right arm is bruised (as a result of what they did a week prior) so I go along with it but mind you its Wednesday the 13th I just came on Monday the 11th and donated with NO PROBLEMS and NOT ONE nurse told me about this 2 vein bull c*** so why now ? Because if thats the case I should have been told the same thing and denied on Monday as well!!! It was complete bull c*** . I have small veins and they just didnt want to deal with it they denied me for something that wasnt my fault and AFTER I already donated on Monday when the bruise looked worse than it does on Wednesday!! That *** said I was completely fine just give the right arm a rest for a while to allow the bruise to heal but my left arm is perfectly fine and good to go!!!!!!! That young lady made up that you have to have 2 veins in one arm , stupid c*** and they just went along with it!!! And to be denied the day before my birthday and be dissatisfied and disappointed was very aggravating!!! I got denied for NO REASON. To be turned away for a bruise I did NOT cause myself is ridiculous they bruised me then turned me away for having the **** bruise they caused !!!! Waste of gas and waste of time.. completely crushed my spirits for my birthday and didnt care!!!! A nurse and security guard saw me outside CRYING from frustration!!! It was not fair and totally unnecessary!!! I will be filing a complaint with HR on both of those nurses who denied me too !!! everybody veins arent HUGE AND PERFECT how yall want them to be , SO WHAT!!!! I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against BioLife Plasma Services located at *************************************************** .On August 12, 2025, I had a scheduled plasma donation appointment at this facility. However, I received an unexpected email notification indicating that my appointment had been canceled. Upon logging into my BioLife account, I discovered that the funds from my previous donations, which I had been saving for essential expenses such as transportation to work, were no longer available.I attempted to contact the ************** multiple times at their listed phone number, ************** , but my calls went unanswered. This lack of communication and the unexplained disappearance of my funds have caused significant inconvenience and financial strain.I kindly request the BBB's assistance in addressing this matter. On August 4, 2025, I donated plasma at the BioLife Plasma Center located at ********************************************************************. I was supposed to receive a specific compensation amount for my donation, but I was shorted $10.When I brought this issue to the attention of the manager on duty, Highly, I was treated with extreme rudeness and disrespect. Not only did she refuse to correct the payment issue, but she also dismissed my concerns without explanation or effort to investigate. Her conduct was unprofessional and showed a lack of care for donor rights.I followed all procedures, arrived on time, and completed the donation in good faith. It is completely unacceptable to be underpaid and then mistreated when asking for clarification. I got banned from biolife from *******,******** because, i didnt have any of my medical history from my gallbladder that was taken out in December 2024. How can somebody get banned for that. 08/03/2025 BioLife plasma Services ****************,******** I was sitting at a computer when I received a call from a potential employer. A staff member approached and politely told me that phone use wasnt allowed, so I began to respectfully end the call.While I was in the process of ending the call, another employee named ******** came up and rudely said, You cant be on your phonewe just told you. I calmly explained that I was already disengaging and that it was a sensitive conversation. She responded loudly and dismissively, saying, Well how was I supposed to know? and caused an unnecessary scene.I felt publicly embarrassed, disrespected, and uncomfortable. I have been donating with BioLife for over a year as part of a humanitarian effort and have never experienced this kind of treatment at any location before.This incident has made me lose trust in this specific center, and I no longer feel comfortable returning. Im writing to express my concern regarding the treatment I experienced during my recent visit as a donor. Upon arrival, I was given instructions by a staff member, which I followed precisely. However, another employee approached me in a rude and confrontational manner, demanding, Why are you here? When I explained that I was instructed to be in that area, they responded dismissively, saying I dont care. I mentioned that I was a new donor and simply doing what I was told, but instead of assisting, they redirected me to a location I shouldn't have been in.This exchange caused confusion and made it appear as if I was being disruptive or defiantwhen in truth, I was complying with what I had been told. The original staff member then returned me to the initial area, which heightened the tension and made it seem like I was trying to cause a scene.This type of misunderstanding and bias seems to be a recurring issue. I was previously deferred due to a similar interaction and even submitted a complaint at that time. Now, with new staff members in place, the same behavior persists. During this recent visit, I requested to speak with a manager but was made to wait for over an hour without any attention or follow-up, ultimately leading me to leave without resolution.I am kindly requesting that my deferral status be reviewed and restored, as there seems to be no documented reason for it. Additionally, I ask that this ongoing pattern of biased treatment toward donors be addressed. A physical staff member even recommended I escalate this matter to corporate due to the seriousness of the issue.Thank you for taking the time to review this. I would appreciate a response and resolution.Incident occurred at my appt time of 2pm 7/30/25 advanced scheduled the online systems ******* was the aggressor and had to receive an apology by other staff members not ******* till I was leaving than ******* said sorry for that attempt to agitate me regretfully same incident as first.Business Response
