1 starHome Depot approved a fraudulent credit card application under my name that then acquired almost $4,000 worth of charges on it. I contacted customer ********************** who closed the fraudulent account and told me I would not be responsible for the fraudulent charges. The account was closed, but I received notice by mail that I was late for payments on that account. These late payments, that I was told I would not be responsible for, have negatively affected my credit score which was near perfect. I disputed the activity with one of the credit bureaus which was denied due to Home Depot not backing the fraudulent activity claim. I am a young adult who is just getting started in life and Home Depot has caused my credit score to go down and adding $4,000 to my name due to approving a fraudulent credit card application. Not only did they approve a fraudulent application, they also lied about me being responsible for these false charges. The Home Depot

1 starI purchased Lifeproof carpeting which comes with a lifetime stain warranty. I felt it was worth paying a premium since I have 2 young children and stains were likely to be in our future. I came into the Somerville store and filed a claim for a few stains and some pulls on the carpet less than a year after it was purchased. I dealt with ******************************* (extension 498) who was very unresponsive and was doing everything in her power to not move forward on my claim. She was insisting I needed a receipt to prove my carpet was professionally cleaned, even though the warranty said it should be cleaned every ***** months. These stains happened about 6 months after the carpet was installed. I have been going back and forth with ********** for months now and she keeps finding new reasons to deny the claim. I strongly recommend NOT purchasing carpeting or carpeting installation from Home Depot. It is a scam! The Home Depot

1 starWent to Home Depot to replace a retractable door which was bought and installed by Home Depot that was damaged in the hurricane. The associate instead of ordering a replacement door through Home Depot, ordered the door directly through the vendor(********). When I received the door, it was too tall for the opening by 4 inches. When I tried to return the door through the vendor they wanted to charge me a restocking fee and pay for shipping to return the door. I went to Home Depot and tried to get a resolution since I did order the door there. I was told they couldn't do anything for me since the door was ordered through the vendor. Now 3 months later, I still have a retractable replacement door which was clearly the associates fault in the way it was ordered and Home Depot does not want to be responsible taking back the door and refunded my money. I have talked to ************** ********** at the store and the Associates and it appears in their opinion I should have to deal with ********.The Home Depot

1 starI ordered a playset for my nephew's birthday on May 16th. The item to be delivered between may 30th & June 5th. I called on June 5 and was told that the delivery would be no later than the 7th. The 7th in the afternoon, I called again. a third party vendor has the item and delivery date needed a Forty-Eight hours to be updated. I got the tracking number from HD customer ********************** and called AAA ******. They had no record of the delivery. I called HD and was told it was just picked up and to wait another 24hrs. I spoke to a customer ********************** representative and a supervisor. The conclusion was that the company had picked up the item from home Depot but they third party had no record. So after over 20 days they didn't have a tracking number that worked. I would not recommend ordering anything online from home Depot. If it's not in the stores don't bother, go to another vendor.I just received an update as of today: the item was lost home depot accepted no responsibility for the lost item. The manager for customer ********************** said she does not care the item was lost. Her manager does not take calls and does not care about customer **********************. I had to pay out of pocket to reorder the item, because there is a 3 to 5 day wait to get my money back. Otherwise I could order it after the money came back and have an even later delivery date. I could not even get a guarantee that the same third party would not be shipping the new one.The home Depot does not care about the community or the customer. Not sure who to post this under since it is online order and an issue with home Depot as a whole. The Home Depot

1 starHome Depot installed a roof on our home in 2017 that we purchased through a project loan. They came back about 6 months AFTER the project was complete, and told us we owed an additional amount, that was supposed to have been billed to the project loan at the time of service, and they failed to do. We were paid up on the initial estimate and the additional costs were being billed several months later. The project loan was closed at that point, and I was trying to work it out with HD's reps, when they sent me to collections. I settled with collections and moved on. To summarize, we paid $10,800 to HD, and I believe around $5k was sent to collections and settled, when it should have been billed to the project loan at the time of service. Fast forward to this spring, when out ceiling starts to sag. We go into out attic crawl space and see everything just... covered in mold. I contact Home Depot, who refers me out to GenPack for warranty services. In the meantime, I am getting estimates and inspections from other roofing companies for the current issue in the roof. What we thought was a leak of some sort, turned out to be completely shoddy work - incorrect materials, nail placement, venting. Everything was covered in mold. The framing was rotting, which HD never even addressed with us - just covered it up. We ended up having to completely reframe and re-roof the house, which ended up costing nearly 20K, not including the mold remediation and interior repairs. ************** did not cover it because it was due to poor workmanship. I received a denial of my warranty claim due to write off. Which is absolutely ridiculous considering the lengths I went to TRY to pay HD, and the amount I DID pay them. Outside of warranty, the absolute failure of the install is beyond comprehension. THIS is the work that HD backed up? No one from HD can/will provide me any docs outside of a receipt saying I paid in full the $10k. I've gone to my local news and will be pursuing further. The Home Depot

1 starIf I could give 0 stars, I would. My dad bought the Husky garage cabinets from Home Depot online. They sent him dented cabinets. He asked for new ones. They charged him a second time and took 3 weeks to pick up the old cabinets. Then they accused my dad of not returning the cabinets and refused to give him his money back for the second set that they should never have charged him for in the first place. Luckily he took pictures of the truck and license plate to prove that they picked up the cabinets. Then, they refused to give him a full refund. He's now out an additional $624 because "we won't give you any more off". NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM HOME DEPOT. GO TO LOWES OR ACE. This has been a month of never ending stress and hassle for my dad. Home Depot has ruined the cabinets that my dad had wanted for years. SHAME ON HOME DEPOT.The Home Depot

1 starHorrible Customer **********************!If you buy an appliance and it is defective from day one of installation, HD will not stand behind the product. They pass responsibility along to the manufacturer. Frigidaire's policy is the THREE technicians have to come out to say that it cannot be fixed and then THREE weeks after you have stayed home for hours to accommodate the techs' schedules, they will let you know if they will replace it. This is the very opposite of ******* Have never dealt with a more absurd warranty policy in my life. The Home Depot

1 starTerrible experience, over and over. Our jobs have been delayed consistently because lack of organization, communication and knowledge within the store. We've saved money by shopping online, rather than in store because staff did not know pricing details, delivery details, etc. It's incredibly challenging to be a local contractor in the Manhattan area with such terrible customer **********************... and technical service. Get it together. The Home Depot

1 starI bought a fridge from Home Depot on April 30th to be delivered June 2nd. I was concerned about buying it so far in advance, but the person I bought it from guaranteed me it would be sitting at the local warehouse tagged for me specifically. The day before scheduled delivery, I got a text saying it would be rescheduled for another week. After calling customer **********************, they said the issue was on the LGs end and that they had not received appliance in order to ship to me. The day before the second delivery date, I call HD to confirm that the item was received from *** I talked to multiple people who confirmed it was at the local warehouse ready to ship. The day of delivery I get multiple notifications that my order is on its way. However it kept saying it was delayed to later in the day. I called HD to confirm I would still get it that day and they said yes. At 7pm I received a call from the delivery company saying they dont actually have the fridge to be delivered and wanted to reschedule for another week out. No one could tell me why someone confirmed they had my appliance when in fact they did not. They also couldnt explain why I wasnt notified right away instead of waiting all day for a delivery that was never going to come. I was able to get a full refund plus additional compensation, but I will not be buying any more appliances from Home Depot again. The Home Depot
