      Tracfone can better be described as Racketfone, a company of crooks. I innocently purchased another phone from them to give myself and give my old iPhone to my young daughter. I had been a long customer of this company and never had any issues. I rarely called into their customer service department. In hindsight, I wish I had so that I would not have bought another phone from them. They had reassured me that I could use my current phone number with the new phone and later setup another phone number for my daughter. When the phone arrived, I followed their instructions and got my new phone working. Strangely, soon afterwards, the new number stopped working altogether. I had to call in through Skype to resolve the issue. This kept happening over and over again for two weeks. After numerous frustrating customer service calls trying to rectify the situation and establish another phone number for my daughter. I felt that it was time to leave Tracfone. Bear in mind, their customer service is automated to an extent that it is very difficult to get to a human being. Once reaching someone, they clearly do not understand English and end up switching off phone service after the call. Perhaps they did not understand what transferring a phone number means. Anyways, when I patiently waited 60 days to unlock the SIM, they refused, saying that because I had so many resets (dropped service) and attempted phone number transfers, I had to restart the whole process over again or pay over $350 to unlock my phone. All of this comes on the backdrop of declining quality in cellular service and a complete lack of customer care. The short of this experience is, Tracfone cuts corners in customer service and cellular service and makes a racket out of people purchasing their phones. Do not be fooled. Take your business elsewhere.

      I have used TracFone for several used TracFone the or several years. But for the last year I've been trying to get a line that opened didn't use I've been paying for a line that I opened and never used. My mother stopped using the phone shortly after it was put on but we can't find the phone in order stop the withdrawals for it. Over a year and a half has gone by and they are still taking from my account. I have called multiple times.I closed my acct and they they anything associated with my bank acct should stop. Well it hasn't ..

      Truly wanted to give this 0 stars but that was not an option ******* elderly dad who is 91 has a Tracfone flipfone with service he wished to cancel. He had automatic payments taken for a phone that didn't work. Tracfone customer service made it impossible for him to cancel the service. They needed him to authenticate his phone by sending him a code which he could not retrieve because the phone was not working. He asked me to help him. I then tried calling for him but I could not get the phone to receive their texted code either. They told me it was impossible to cancel the service since the phone could not be authenticated! I had to report this to my dad's credit card company as a fraudulent charge so they would deny any further charges. This is heinous exploitation of the elderly and should be a criminal offense.

      tracfone pushes constantly and advertises earning points several ways easily then makes it nearly impossible to use the points...I have spent hours on their website trying to figure how sto use points I accumulated..maybe I will have time again tomorrow to waste...

      I am accusing Tracfone Wireless of sending messages to my phone deliberately attempting to panic me into buying unnecessary minutes on an account that currently had 1400 minutes available to my service.An attempt to find out my remaining minutes returned a message that my service was inactive, and prompted me to add minutes to a pool they refused to tell me the current size of.Customer service was frustrating and unhelpful, refusing to admit after a three-hour-long call that it was their problem, and refusing to provide me with a contact number for any actual employee of Tracfone Wireless or ******** although the call center reputedly works for Tracfone, and by extension ******* Wireless.I am asking for a full review of the issue, an apology from Tracfone and ******* for their appalling customer service and their attempts to isolate their companies from the customers who pay their salaries. I insist that contact numbers for actual Tracfone and ******* administrative employees are available for those customers to escalate problems to if necessary, and a thorough review to make certain elder abuse is not one of Tracfone's go-to marketing strategies.

      Bait and switch. Phone was supposed to be free with plan, but credit card was charged for plan AND phone IMMEDATELY after order placed. During chat and person-to-person phone call I was told that order could NOT be cancelled. Only remedy they offered was to refuse delivery of the package (which has NOT been shipped, yet). No other remedy offered, including refund. CREDIT CARD WAS ALREADY CHARGED. I called credit card company and was told charge was already pending on the card and could not be disputed until after item is refused.

      Horrible, not understanding take money out bank when I don't have the phone list it but they ignore the facts constantly taking money out of the bank I can't even close the account just close it and stop keeping on taking money out of my account it messes up other major bills, plus closing it early with paid up through end of December, but no phone.

      I paid for service and ran out of data so I called to add more data... supervisor took payment but removed my phone service.... Now my phone is off.. with only data available to me.And I'm being told I have to pay for another plan.

      According to the customer representative and manager conversations, I think the company refuse service to me. At first the activation process went through, I received my phone service, but within hours the company disconnected its services. I tried very hard to press for the real reason why because I do not understand it. Twice, they told me to not bother calling them again. I am using the ***************** but after being treated so poorly, I am very sure that I will not be trying for their paid service. Also, I am very discouraged for the first time in life, to fully come to terms with discrimination and having so little I can do about it. I am very sure it was solely Tracfone that is responsible for such treatment because the other associated parties have been kind through their conversations with me and have tried their best to help.

      Terrible customer service. ******* #****** was employee that "helped" me today. She refused to transfer me to billing because she said that the refund was processed on Tracfone's end. She refused to offer any details as to where it was refunded or the date. I asked to be transferred because I was looking at the past 2 months of my credit card statements that didn't show a refund. In addition, my online Tracfone transactions also did not show a refund. In fact, it showed another attempt to charge me monthly for a plan that I had purchased the month before by paying ahead for a year. She told me to contact my bank. Well, since I charged it on a credit card, I don't think my bank is going to do much good. I was looking at the statements and the refund should have been done about 30 days ago. I asked her again to transfer me to billing. She refused. To be honest, I don't think they even have a billing representative.
