Unacceptable customer service. Spent 1/2 day with 'help' chat. Basically the same run around I've read elsewhere about this outfit since they were taken over by ******** I spent hours with two different support people who continually type "Are you still there?" as I tried to accomplish what they just asked me to do. My service ran out, I was deactivated, paid for renewal, and at this time (many frustrating hours later), still no service. They insist that I call their direct line, which is not possible for me, as my phone has been deactivated. Seriously - if I could give ZERO stars, I would. They received my money but have not provided service. I have a sneaking suspicion that this is a BS corporate scheme to get people to sign up for auto-renewal. That isn't going to happen with this customer. I plan to switch to ******** ASAP.

I like the service when it works. I am having issues with my phone that is only 7 months old. I could not call or use the internet with my phone, called them 4 times until they thought they had it fixed. Now no matter where I am I have to rest my phone EVERY time to be able to use it. What if I'm in an accident am I supposed to wait for my phone to reboot in order to call for help? At this point the answer is YES. Then I had it off to charge it and I have a white line going down through my screen that a friend told me that means the pixels died in that area, and I can't use my phone because it makes me nausea to even try and do anything on it. The phone is not even paid off yet and NO ONE will correct the issue at Tracfone. Called them again 4 times today on this matter. I am fed up with companies charging high prices and offering nothing if something happens. They won't even reimburse me for time lost with my service when I can not use it. Go figure. I paid over $250.00 not even 7 months and 2 weeks later it's JUNK. If someone has any suggestions on what to do please feel free to contact me.

Extremely poor customer service. I have had ongoing problems with my phone over the last six months. I have made repeated calls, each time being on the phone with someone (whose native language is not English) for 45 minutes or longer as we go through the same routine. Eventually I get transferred to someone higher up who promises that I will receive a call within a few minutes to half an hour. That was 3 hours ago. My phone is still not working - can't make calls, can't text. I've had enough. I will now research another company as I am getting nowhere with Tracfone.

I been a loyal customer for years. When I reviewed my yearly service plan during checkout online, I noticed that you were taxing me at a rate of 8%. I reside in Delaware County, PA. I should be taxed at a rate of 6%. I went online to chat with Marjorie, she was as a rude as could be, when I informed her of the tax miscalculation. It might not be a whole lot of money to a single customer, but if you do this to everyone, a class action lawsuit should be considered.

I used this service for years. last month I was double charged for my phone service. Spent a lot of time on the phone with customer service. Was told they could not do anything, that their billing cycle runs every 30 days. When asked if I could get my bill date changed, I was told this wasn't possible unless I cancelled my subscription and reenrolled on the date I wanted it changed to.

Took a month to replace a broken phone. Then would not transfer no. to new phone. Claimed I needed a 4 digit pw no. which I did not ever have. Would not accept any way for me to verify account which they were looking at. After more than 10 yrs. will find another provider. Do not buy a tracfone ever.

Today I received a notice on my phone that there was an update available. Once I restarted it from the update, I tried to make a call, only to be told that my account was out of service, and my phone locked. I have been paying by the year (on auto-renew) for several years now, so I was understandably upset. Eventually, after extended nonsense with their customer support, I was forced to buy more minutes, which isn't the issue. What about the literally THOUSANDS of speech and text minutes I had built up on my account, since I rarely use my phone? All of that appears to have VANISHED, which I view as THEFT. Of course, now they claim to have no idea about any of this. If they want to lose a customer, this would be a TERRIFIC way to go about it. I WANT MY MINUTES BACK. Otherwise, we are DONE once the three month contract I set up runs out, and I will NEVER return.

If I could give zero stars,I would. Paid for unlimited data, and phone has no data. Dropping phone calls and cant use any internet services without Wi-Fi! When you call customer service get the same c*** every time! No resolution. They are ripping people off for there money. I will be switching service as soon as I can get another phone. Stay away from straight talk

**************** reps reply only from scripts and cannot solve a problem. I attempted to cancel an order over the course of two weeks. I was told 1. the order is shipping today 2. order is shipping and will arrive on time 3. order is back ordered 4. too late to cancel 5. I am making the cancelation/refund order, given case number, you will be contacted in the next 24 to 48 hours 6. same as 5 with new case number. This is the condensed version, I made 12 calls. I got an email saying my order has shipped with a link to *** tracking. *** tracking number supplied by TF cannot be found. PLEASE, AVOID THESE PEOPLE.

We have been using TracFone for cell phones and service plans for more than 20 years. We recently purchased a new ******* A53 smart phone from TracFone on an email deal for $169.99 plus tax for a total of $182.31. We received the phone a few days later and had considerable difficulty activating the phone. It was shipped in a Strait Talk box (apparently TracFone recently acquired Strait Talk) and when we went to activate it online, the serial number wasn't recognized. It took several phone calls and call-backs to get the phone activated and minutes, texts and data transferred. Beyond that, when we received our credit card statement showing the purchase of the phone, we were charged $214.49 rather than the $182.31 we were originally told. We called TracFone to find out why were overcharged only to find out the order number we were originally given was invalid. The only way we could check on the order was by giving them the credit card number (for some reason they could not find the order from our phone number) and when we did that, we found that we were charged $199.99 for the phone. We asked about getting a refund of the $30 difference, but were told that the only way we could get a refund was by returning the phone. With all we had gone through to get the phone set up, we weren't going to do that, so we are out the $30. It isn't a large sum, but this was an example of terrible business practices and horrible customer service.
