I've had TracFone service for approximately 20 years, and never had a problem... Until now. I upgraded to a Pixel 6a recently. Purchase through HSN. It came bundled with a year's talk and text plus 24 gigabytes of data. Phone is great, but numerous calls to TracFone and I still don't have the bundle added to my account. Strange, since the 24 gigabytes were added to my account when I activated, but disappeared the next day.

I have been a TracFone customer for many years, and i was trying to activate a new phone by transferring my old number and contacts and files to the new phone, i have talked to about 8 or nine people, which are *******, ****, *****, ******, ****, ************************, nymaja (name maybe spelled wrong) and none of them stated that they cannot transfer my contents from one phone to the other. this phone was purchased on QVC last year, November and the host on qvc always that call TracFone customer service they are the best, well they lied, because none of the reps was able to help me, a couple of them hung up on me, and the last person that i talked to, was getting frustrated ==i could hear it in his voice, he also hung up on me. Only the phone number was transferred to the new phone and not the contents. I don't see why this is happening, they act like they don't want to help the customers. they are sorry. They are very unhelpful, very unfriendly and a couple of the reps were rude. if they cannot help me, then i want to be refunded for this phone or someone need to have patients and walk me thru step by step in getting my contacts, phone and everything transferred to the new phone. If there was a zero star i would click on that, why are TracFone customer service is there if they cannot help a customer. the last person that i spoke to new when to hang up on me, b/c i called back at 11:47 and was told they were closed to call back tomorrow. What happen to good old customer service with a smile. whoever the president or manage of TracFone is, they need to look at more training for the reps, because all of the 8 or 9 reps i spoke to had me to do something different and I don't believe they knew what they were talking about. This is very very very frustrating, I will call back tomorrow and I hope I can get this resolved. I hope someone will read this. My name id *****. I cannot understand why no one could assist me

In November 2023, I purchased an Orbic Magic 5G smartfone and wireless plan from Tracfone in anticipation of using said wireless plan with the purchased phone. The cell phone did not work. Tracfone was advised of said non-working status upon the phones receipt and that the credit card charges for it and the associated wireless plan would be rejected. My credit card company rejected Tracfones charge for the smartfone and associated wireless plan, apparently without any objection from Tracfone. On January 13, ****, Tracfone attempted to assert a charge of $16.76 for purported cell phone service. Upon notification, my credit card company again reversed the charge.Less alert consumers might well fail to recognize this relatively small charge and be fraudulently charged for non-existent services under a non-existent contract.

I bought a Tracfone and paid for a one-year plan. The phone worked fine until I started using the data, I had 3 gigs and it ran out in a week. I bought another 3 ********* ran out in two days. Tracfone insisted that 'something' must have been 'running in the background', depleting all my data...Fast forward a month ahead and one day when I dial a number I reach customer service--they say my year of pre-paid time has come to it's end even though I still have 6 months left...Switched to PCS and my phone troubles are now over. Tracfone kept my 6 months of pre-paid account ****************************** is run by thieves, stay away from them

So I bought a prepaid phone card and a **** card two weeks ago I shouldve received the order by now I talked to customer service and a manager at least 4 times and theyre all giving me the run around. *** asked for a refund of my money or to resend the order and theyve said no to both options. *** contacted to mail service to see if they could help me track the order but they said the order was never mailed out that I needed to contact Straight Talk. Ive come to conclusion theyre ripping a lot of people off!

My mother-in-law got a phone from them a couple of years ago and I helped her with the process. It was a nightmare. I don't remember the details now, but part of it was getting the phone she wanted. We ended up having to drive a half hour to a Target store to get it. At the time new customers were supposed to get 6 months free service and I had to fight them for her to get it. I spent hours on the phone with them. I kind of forgot how bad that was before I started dealing with them again. I also figured that was a one time thing. I decided it was time for a new phone and my wife told me they had good deals on them, so I checked out the site and picked one. Then I went about trying to port my number and get the new phone activated. So far, I have spent about 6 hours chatting and on the phone with them. I've been disconnected twice and was promised a call back that never happened 2 or 3 times. I heard they had "system problems" more than once. A good ways into the process, I noticed my new phone was activated with a new number without my knowledge or permission. I was also billed for a month of service. I got them to reverse that charge, but it wouldn't surprise me if they charged me again. I decided that the only way I would continue is if they would give me some free months. I asked for calls back from a customer service manager about that, but never got them. I then decided that I was done with them and I'd put my old provider's SIM card into my new phone, It didn't work. TracFone had locked my phone. I called them and couldn't get them to unlock it because I did not have the correct pin #. If I use a pin, it's one of two and neither worked. I don't think I even established one with them. They told me that I would have to wait another month before it could be unlocked. I will be surprised if that works out. Luckily, my old phone still works. My wife has had no problem with them for years, but I wonder if she's the only one.

I walked away from this dispicable company leaving years of prepaid ************ just to get away after three help desk personnel told me they:d fixed a problem but hadn't. The help desk has to be the worst in existence & the level one service is basically a bunch of Junior operators reading from an inane script. Yo make it even worse, they close for several hours each night & send you to a totally unhelpful automated system. If you need to buy data from them, the pricing is ridiculous. Save yourself a great deal of grief & go elsewhere. You'll be glad you did. The *** should shut these clowns down.

I have spent 4 hours over 9 total phone calls trying to get two phones activated. The first phone only took me 2 of those calls, but it was a device we bought from them. We also bought a bring-your-own-phone plan and sim card from their website. They will not honor the plan to activate the phone. We would have to buy another plan with a card. The plan we purchased is labeled "BYOP plan". It appears to be a scam that you can buy it, but you can't use it. Their customer service is horrible. You have to go through the same 30-minute run-around every time you get disconnected; it is a fight to have someone transfer you (and they generally won't do it); and no one will call you back, even if they are the cause of the disconnection. I was also told that they can't see information about your prior calls or transfer you to the same person you were talking to before. I have never had such horrible customer service. We will put the second phone with a different company and move the working line as soon as the phone is unlocked.

I bought a phone and $100 plan through tracphone thinking they are a longstanding and reputable company. I was wrong. They are unprofessional, unhelpful, and an unorganized mess. The phone I bought was defective (not their fault). When I contacted them to send it back, I was sent to a call center which is presumably in India.(Immediate language barrier) I spent over an hour trying to figure out how to return the package and get a return label. The first representative told me to bring it to UPS. UPS tells me they can't take it. The next call center representative told me to bring it to USPS. I take it there and end up paying $5 to return the defective item to them! I then proceed to buy a new phone, with no plan, figuring that the $100 plan I purchased could be used for the new phone. Nope, the plan is only available for the defective phone. They gave me an unconfident explanation that once the defective phone is received, I will then get a replacement and the plan will work. Side note, this information took 5 hours to get out of them. I got a different answer and a different solution from around 10 different representatives. Hence why I believe the solution to be an unconfident answer. I hope they can refund me. I could trail this bad experience off to the dot with another 5 paragraphs but I'm not sure it is necessary. This company will likely be done in the next 10 years if they don't clean their act up.
