1 starOn 07/01/2024 my current plan from the Tracfone app showed ****** GB, 0 minutes, & 0 text instead of UNL ************* text. All calls outgoing were immediately transferred to Straight Talk. After multiple agents exhausting all resources and still no solution, the 1 agent actually made it so I could finally make a call. The result though still caused further issues with my phone plan. Afterwards I was missing 591.53GB of data that was not entered when the care agent entered 9999 minutes into my plan. I had prepaid a plan on 02/23/2024 that would end 09/20/2024 for Unlimited talk & text. I had purchased a $15 plan for unlimited talk/text that would end in August, but ran into an issue on 05/02/2024 where my phone suddenly showed no SIM. I spoke to an agent at Tracfone from another ************ said the only solution was to purchase an additional plan for $20, which came with 2GB of data & unlimited talk & text when I had already purchased a plan for service that was not working. They assured me it would extend my service to September 20, 2024 & that it would fix my network issue at the time. It did not fix the ********* paid even more money for service that I should have had. It ended up being an issue with the actual phone so I had it fixed at a repair ********* was working again as a result. After going back & forth since 07/01/2024 with agents & corporate call backs I am being told there is no way to replace the data even though I have screenshot proof from their Tracfone app & from the ****** text help responses proving the data was ****** ********* later after the agent "fixed" the issue, the amount of data was removed. They refuse to make this right & return the data amount taken from me & tell me that I only had 2GB of data that has already been used, when I have proof that information is wrong. They will not give me any infor or details where I can email this proof & tell me once again I must spend more money for something I am already supposed to have.Review fromXai R

1 starTracfone/Verizon is a corrupt company. A back up Tracfone phone was not working properly. The phone was currently under a 30 day unlimited talk/text plan with 3GB of data. **************** emailed a *** mailing label to have the phone repaired at a *********, ** factory. The phone was mailed the same day. Contacted customer service as to the status of the phone only to receive no information and misinformation. Finally, received a refurbished phone on July 5th, a month later. Same phone number which was okay. The customer service agents stated (I recorded the conversations of the various 17 CSR agents I spoke to during that month) stated I would receive credit for the days I didnt have my phone due to it being repaired at the factory. I was without my phone for about 31 days. At the time, I sent the phone I had remaining 23 days of unlimited talk/text with 3GB on my phone. Tracfone/Verizon has agents who claimed they added the 23 days of unlimited service only for me to text ****** to get a response I have 6 minutes and 4 SMS with some data. I have never had a limited plan with them. I got transferred to various agents to techs who were rude, incompetent, robotic, nonchalant and gave false promises. I will never have a phone with any company associated with Tracfone/Verizon ever again. Tracfone/Verizon is dishonest. May they end up like Enron.Review fromDaniel T

1 starWorst customer service ever. Bought a new Trac fone 2 weeks ago. Will not ring when call is coming in. Talked to at least 8 different people at **** fone and no one is able to help. Each time you go through the same questions on their screen and refuse to get management on the phone. I was told to take the phone back by one tech which I tried to do but Dollar General refused to take it back. At 2 weeks old there should be warranty so I called Trac fone again and ran through the same s*** list again that I had been though many rimes before. Then we got disconnected. All you get is run around and when I looked today it looks like their customer service is very bad to most people. All one gets is run around and nothing settled or working.Review fromMartha F

1 starOn July 3, 2024, I attempted to refill data in my Tracfone plan prior to plan expiration. I paid for 24 GBs of data to refill my account. Per contract agreement, I have unlimited text and phone service. Tracfone illegally deactivated my valid and paid account on July 3, 2024. I am a senior and have been ill and am unable to reactivate my service because Tracfone requires validating my account be through text or Phone. Obviously I cannot receive a phone text or make or receive phone calls because Tracfone deactivated the services. Tracfone refuses to validate my account through email. The AIs and live chat people will not restore my account. I now have been told only a phone call can remedy this issue. I have wasted over 6 hours making this simple point. Validate by email. Or use an alternative method other than phone call or text. Meanwhile I have a valid paid up account for data, unlimited text and phone service. I cant even contact my credit card company to dispute the payment to Tracfone for data because credit card companies, banks ,etc require a validation code via text.Review fromKara E

1 starThey Are not true to their word. Keep telling me my phone will be usable in 24 hours. I'm on my 5th 24 hours. Tolxme I needed to buy **** card that the one that came with the phone was no good. Bought a new **** card kit we started I didn't even need it no more after buying it. Still waiting another 24 hours for my phone to be unlocked and usable to transfer my phone minutes. I only ge* paid once a mon*h on *he *hird of each mon*h and I have gone wi*hou* phone service for a* leas* 5 days before *o make sure my money was in *he bank in order *o preven* cu*off or any*hing else. I only have a cell phone because of wife and family being on road and s*uff like *ha* and doc*ors and general s*uff. I have *ried o*her cell companies bu* don * have as much coverage. I pay for a plan for 30 days of unlimi*ed call and *ex* wha* *hey say bu* I do no* ge* 30 days. IT is anywhere from 27 days *o 29 days and *hey are *rying *o collec* money. I have even gone before wi*hou* a phone for 5 days in order *o ge* my pay da*e cycle *o be ok wi*h my paymen* da*e. 1 starMy mom has been in the hospital for over a month. When she was in *** we took her cell phone to her not knowing she couldnt have it in ICU. The nursing staff lost her phone. So I ordered a new one. Through tracfone now I cant activate it because your company requires not only a pin code but the two most recent called numbers! This is an 84 year old woman shes been sick for over a month and her phone isnt even a smart phone I dont understand why this is so difficult to activate her new phone! I was told by your reps that I cant speak to a manager and all they could do for me is activate it under a new number. Ok thats a great idea but can we cancel her existing account that comes out automatically from her checking account? No we cant cancel that cuz you dont know the second phone number that she frequently calls! So my only option to give my 84 year old mom is to have her account charged double for a stupid tracfone! 1 starI purchased a ******* Tracfone Bundle from HSN on April 7, 2024. The package came with 1500 minutes, 1500 texts, 1500mb data, and 1 year of service. I wasn't able to send texts with pictures and so I called Tracfone Customer Support Number on May 23 and May 26. Prior to calling them I had taken a screenshot of my balance. April 27, i had ***** minutes, 4048 texts, 1.81gb data, and service end date July 4, 2025 after activation. I mostly use the phone for texting. While speaking with many customer service agents for 3.5 hours my balance was wiped away. A rep said, "you are not able to send texts because you have 0 minutes, 0 texts, and 0 data. They were able to restore some of what I had ***** m ***** texts, and 1.28gb data as of May 28. Last Monday June 24 my balance was wiped away again without talking to Tracfone. I just want back most of the balance I had on April 27. I have been with Tracfone for about 12 years, buying 90 day cards for years. 1 starI have been a loyal Straight Talk customer for over 13 years, but my recent experience with both Straight Talk and Tracfone has been extremely disappointing. After switching to a new ******* Galaxy S23 Ultra two months ago, my service has been nothing short of a nightmare.Recently, I requested a phone number change due to a scam attempt. Straight Talk disabled my SIM card, rendering my phone unusable and preventing me from accessing my bank account since I can't receive verification codes. Despite spending over 8 hours on the phone with various customer service representatives, I received no help and was often disconnected. The representatives, all based overseas, were unable to provide clear explanations or solutions.In an attempt to resolve the issue, I purchased a Tracfone SIM card and service plan. However, Tracfone is now claiming that there is a mismatch between my SIM card and my phone's IMEI number, preventing them from transferring my service from SIM B to SIM A. This should not be the case, as I only have one phone. As a result, I have service plans that are unusable, resulting in a significant waste of money. The lack of effective support from both Straight Talk and Tracfone has caused me significant inconvenience and financial loss. I am also concerned about potential fraudulent activities related to the mishandling of my SIM card and IMEI information.I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with the handling of my situation. Despite my long-term loyalty, I feel neglected and unvalued as a customer. 1 star***** with Tracphone services, refused to help set up my husbands phone with his prepaid minutes etc. She was extremely horrible.
