I purchased the "Online store + Marketplace" package from Bluehost. I have spent hours over the past month speaking to over a dozen individuals trying to get one feature, multichannel inventory, set up. None of them know how to do it or can provide any documentation with instructions. The only thing they keep saying is that I can pay extra, on top of the extra I'm already paying for this hosting package, to have someone else set it up for me. I believe that this is false advertising. There is nothing on the website stating that to enable this feature I'm already paying for I will be required to pay an additional unknown amount of money for someone to turn it on.
During my attempts to get this resolved, I was hung up on at least three times, left on hold for more than half an hour twice, and promised to have supervisors call me back three times that never happened.Initial Complaint

I have contacted iPage several several times regarding the lack and substandard service they promised me when I signed on with them. Each time I submit a help ticket, they do nothing except say their system is operating correctly and refuse to escalate to a more knowledgeable tech! I am not and have not been receiving the service not only promised, but what I have been paying for! I can not and DO NOT recommend this company and very reluctant on any company that the parent company owns.Initial Complaint

Bluehost renewed my domain and charged me before $36.99 for the renewal of the domain 15 days before the expiration date. On the website below it says “ If you have already been charged for the upcoming term but wish to avoid the renewal, please get in touch with our support team.” I contacted them and they refused to refund me. I want a refund for the entire price of the renewal.

The last month bluehost failed to provide what promised due to their system abnormality. This has a result my online store to be down and to damage my business.

Been with ******* for over 20 years, renewing our website domain name regularly. On February 8, 2024, received an email saying our domain name was expiring in thirty days, and that we would have to renew. My husband renewed, and the credit card charge went through on February 25, 2024 for $22.95; all paid up. However, on February 27, 2024, ******* shut down our domain name, a full 11 days before they said it would be shut down if they did not receive payment, however they DID receive payment, and they shut the domain name down anyway.
Husband spent 5 hours on chat, trying to get it fixed. They wanted to send a validation email to the email that we use through our domain, ****************, but they couldn't comprehend why that would not work, after they shut down the pomona1 domain name. Of course it won't work; the ******* idiots shut it down. We have backup gmail accounts, but it took so long to get the emails (hour+) that once we clicked on the link in those emails, they were no longer valid (they had timed out). So then they wanted to send a validation to an email that apparently we used to set the account up with over 20 years ago. That email doesn't even show up in our ******* account user interface; my husband had deleted it when it went defunct over a decade ago (FrontierNet was an internet service provider in Rochester, NY, but we moved to AZ, so we are using a different internet provider now, and the emails could not be retained. Plus, I believe FrontierNet is no longer in business, so that 20+ year old email cannot be used, but this stupid company is still trying to use it!). They can't seem to comprehend that businesses shut down or get bought, and email accounts go away with them.
Our website is not up, and causing huge issues, and our main emails don't work. I missed an email from a doctor that significantly affected a life or death medical issue. 5 hours on chat, still no resolution, but apparently they had no problem charging our credit card.Customer Answer

I purchased domain smallmediumcounselor.com at bluehost on feb 23, '24. Login is via host or webmail login. The latter choice accesses one's gmail account, an invasion of email privacy. I need to close and refund my account or install login security feature for member privacy and any other privacy or security issues with our accounts. There is no one to answer the telephone, to tell that the Web domains are two. I chatted with a robot for about one hour and got no satisfaction. I had two domains with this comp for about 11 years for one and 6 years for the other. The domain for the 6years is activated and not expired until Sept. 8th, 2024. The Domain the the 11years ends in an .org and did NOT want to continue this site. I am being charged $279.oo for the one I do not want to renew. I am being locked out of the account except to pay this amount. I can not go in to see account details, edit site that is still active etc. The original domain name is only 19,99 anyway, so I am not sure what this ******? I do think this is a terrible site now. We paid to have them create a website, and when we asked them to transfer our files over, they said they couldn't do it. The salesman we spoke to told us they could transfer our files without knowing we had thousands of them. So when the web designer looked at it, she told us they couldn't transfer that many over. So they never built our website, and we still have our old site and never received a refund when they couldn't do our site.
I have contacted them several times, and they say they will get me the refund but never do.
They also promised us that we would have 99.9 percent uptime, and since we transferred our website to their server, we have been down for a total of three weeks. That is more than 99 percent.
We will also be transferring our website this summer as we have signed a contract with a local company that will build and host our site when they complete it this summer.Initial Complaint

I cancelled *******s in October of 2022. Janunary of this year I was charged $165.87 on a card that had been replaced/cancelled. I tried to reach the company via phone and could never get thru the *** system because I did not have access to what they were asking since I had cancelled *******s. I did a dispute with my bank but unfortunately it got reversed. I finally was able to reach the company via their "chat" support after an hour and half I was able to get things cancelled however they refuse to refund me since they state it was an auto-renewal (that I cancelled supposedly in 2022) the agent stated he could cancel everything but I could not get a refund since the ***** ******* started in January. I requested an escalation in regards to the refund. Their charges caused me to incurr overdrafts in my bank account. I live on a fixed income, I am disabled and a widow. I was told also they couldn't escalate because they sent emails (to an email address I dont access because I cancelled in 2022!). I asked for a confirmation # or email for the cancellation and also a chat transcript. The agent said their will be no email sent regarding the cancellation and refused to give any type of confirmation# he stated "The products are set to expire and once the expiration date passes the products will get deleted and this is the process, however I have set all the products to expire." I asked for a cancellation again!!! As I have been thru this before. I just want this closed, done over and my money back as I had cancelled previously VERY frustrating
