      ********* permanently deleted my websitedespite being told over 10 times, on recorded calls, not to touch it. That site held 11 years of work, including proprietary content, internal systems, and critical business assets. It wasnt just a websiteit was the operational core of my business.Their actions were not a mistake. They were malfeasancewillful, reckless, and damaging. I spent hours every day on the phone trying to undo what they did. Support lied to me repeatedly, saying were working on it, while doing nothing. They refused to escalate. I was told the supervisor is busy over and over. I finally stayed on hold for two hours to reach a second-tier agent who also did nothing except delay, deflect, and lie again.HostGator uses underqualified, script-reading virtual assistants with zero technical skill or decision-making power. They have no business handling anything tied to real businesses or real consequences. They dont fix problemsthey create them. Then they waste your time pretending to help.This didnt just disrupt my businessit caused severe stress, physical sickness, and lost momentum that cannot be recovered. They erased what took years to buildand acted like it didnt matter.HostGator is negligent, unfit, and dangerous. Their malfeasance speaks for itself. Stay away.

      Extremely Disappointed with HostGator Ongoing Issues Affecting Business Operations Ive been hosting six domains with HostGator, and unfortunately, the experience has been problematic from day one. The issues are recurring and unpredictablesome days emails dont send, other days they dont receive. At times, my websites are down entirely or the login page malfunctions. It's a constant cycle of technical disruptions.The most concerning incident happened today. I had purchased two additional domains yesterday using a valid card, and although the charges show as approved and pending on my end, ********* claimed the bank returned the payment. As a result, they blocked my entire account access.This is unacceptable, especially on a critical day when new employees were joining my company. I was unable to log in and set up their work emails, leaving them idle and raising questions about our companys professionalism and infrastructure. This not only causes financial losses but also damages our reputation.After dealing with continuous instability and now this major account issue, I can confidently say I do not recommend HostGator for any business that values reliability and smooth operations.

      I had a terrible experience with Newfold Digital, *** (domain.com). Without any notice or invoice, they charged my account unauthorized. Because I received no explanation or billing notice, I disputed the charge with my bank. The chargeback was successful and I received a refund. In retaliation, domain.com cancelled my domain without any notice. I want to warn others: if you value your domain, your data, or your business, do NOT trust Domain.com or Newfold Digital.If I could leave ZERO stars I would.

      Hostgator ripped me off by charging me high fees for another plan without my consent. ********* exploit auto renew to do this. Be careful for your auto renewal.

      This company owns website domain.com that sells domain names. They illegally charge customers renewal fees without their consent and then claim that the auto renew option was on. I specifically went on their site to shut off the auto renew and received an email from them stating that auto renew was shut off but yet they proceeded to charge my card without my permission. Would never recommend anyone purchase a domain name from this company domain.com

      First let me say that I have pages and pages of documentation to back up what I am about to say,I have a "baby" plan with several add on domains I resell to my clients. One of those clients decided, against my better advice, to have their own access to the internals (the cPanel) of the hosting service. They agreed to pay for the migration which is a big job and full of potential problems.I paid hostgator for the website migration. They still have not completed it 100% and it's been nearly a month since they started. The temp domain is still there. I told them what I needed and they said that the "hatchling" plan would be perfect. I was very explicit about the needs of the client. As it turns out the hatchling plan is unusable due to a 100mb limitation on email. That may sound like a lot, but in reality it's just a few emails. Once the limit is reached, email becomes inaccessible, making the email account 100% useless. Of course they failed to tell me this (and I have proof.) After I had spent over 25 hours on chat and on the phone with them trying to sort out other issues they didn't do right in the migration, I told them that they misrepresented the hatchling plan to me and that they should upgrade the plan to the baby plan. They insisted on charging me nearly $300 to do this. I finally got them to add another year to the hatchling, then refund the 3 years they originally charged me (we'll see if they actually do that or not) so I could then upgrade to the baby account without having to pay for 3 years. Once this was done, they raised the price (only for me, mind you) from a whopping $24/month (who pays $24 /month for simple website hosting?) to an INCREDIBLE $74/month. This is well known as "bait and switch" which is against almost every state in the union's consumer protection laws. Again, I have documented everything. I have to say I am not at all surprised to see that hostgator and their parent company both have a big fat F on BBB.

      Last month our site was down for 7 days! we kept contacting support they kept telling us there was an issue with our website not their hosting, even though we tested duplicated of the site elsewhere and it was fine. anyways google de-indexed our entire site and costs us tens of thousands of dollars, thanks HostGator for taking no responsibility and gaslighting us the entire time.

      This is the worst company ever. They blacklisted my site. They held my domain for ****** past 30 days. They are slow and nonexistent with service and tech. All tech **** including elevated are incompetent and unapologetic when it comes to technology and repairing. It took them 3 days and still haven't changed simple info on profiles. They cant elevate tickets, they force client to and phish for info including 2 forms of id for every stupid change. Other companies are way ahead. I hope they fold for the time and money they cost my business. I wish I could do zero stars.

      They cancelled my plan, moved my service from hostmoster and now everything is gone. No accountability, no support. stay away from this comapny.

      This is most crooked company there is in the space of webhosting provision and problem is no one regulates this - they charge what they want without providing the services. For 3 months they tortured me with crappy customer service that routes to ***** or someplace in ****. You chat they keep changing people you have to explain the whole thing 10 times, calls are waste of time as well since between the times you understand each others' accents its already an hour gone. They charged 250 for 3 years hosting and 199 for migrating my site but it was neither on time nor it was smooth - they lost 15 days of emails. and i asked for refund they didn't - For months I have tried to resolve and have transcripts after transcripts of those guys assuring me they would resolve but they never did so i blocked my credit card now they just keep asking me to remove dispute for helping on unlocking and move to another provider. What kind of people manage this company.
